With that being said, I look at Yelp to get an idea of businesses often and the reviews for this clinic had me a little worried about taking my Doberman here. After my first visit with Joy Barron, I felt very differently. She was very nice and very informative and I asked a lot of questions because my doberman is the first dog I've cared for. I scheduled an appointment to get my boy neutered with the receptionist after my first checkup here and she handed me the appointment reminder card for the date of the surgery. I showed up this morning at the time I was given to be notified that his surgery was never scheduled. I was then told that I could leave him there for the day but there was no guarantee that he'd receive his surgery today. At this point I was really upset about the lack of accountability from the receptionist (who was working there this morning but said nothing the entire time I was in there while this was happening) and decided to just leave before I lost my cool and said something rude and unprofessional. I've emailed them a copy of this appointment reminder card and would be happy to update this review when an explanation has been given for why the surgery was never scheduled when I scheduled it IN PERSON IN THEIR OFFICE.

They took a LOT of time going over many questions I had about things not even related to the injury. Turns out her limp is the result of a old injury. I was given some meds to help her out and was on my way. lady liked the staff here so much that when they left the room she whimpered and stared st the door. This is what really happened...I knew something was wrong when: 1. I pleaded with Faithful Friends to give me a receipt to prove they picked up Oreo( I wanted a date). Also a receipt showing a date proving that she was cremated. I kept asking...they kept refusing. Kim, from Faithful Friends that commented on my review was the person that kept refusing to give me a receipt proving they had picked up Oreo and proving that she was cremated. She also blocked me from talking to anyone else. She, the other staff, as well as Middendorf didn't know where Oreo was or even who the driver, who was supposed to pick up Oreo. 2. I also knew something was wrong when their dates didn't match Middendorf's dates until they finally got together and picked a date that worked for them. 3. Oreo was referred to as a "Male"...my precious Oreo is a FEMALE. 4.Brittany, Jim, Brian and Lorie and staff didn't even have compassion for my Beloved Oreo to return my calls. I will be reporting them to Animal Cruelty Organizations and the Ky. Board of Veterinary Examiner. I am devastated that I still don't know what happened to my Beloved Oreo or where she is. If only I had walked back in that room and taken my precious Oreo home instead of leaving her with these people. I will never get over this. After every test, with no answers; they did not give up. They started trying to narrow down the issue and did not give up. He had a small stay of about 5 days in total, and the staff constantly updated me throughout his stay. His illness really seemed to be a death sentence, but after trying a medicine they don't typically use, he began improving so quickly. We were so thrilled when we finally got good news of progress for our boy. He is doing just perfect now and is back to his loving self. I cannot thank this hospital enough for their dedication to their job, and to their patients. Throughout the days there, we saw many people treated so well. If you ever have an emergency I highly recommend them. They treat your animal like they are their own. I truly felt so supported and like our boy was in the best hands possible.

However whenever my cat experience a seizure at the age of 1…read morey/o they were my closest option and took my cat as a walk in emergency and helped our situation, diagnosed him, and gave him the correct treatment that he's been on for over a year now with only 1 more seizure since taking meds (he had two in the span of 1 week before taking him in). I also have a girl cat I decided to take in aswell for her shots and they are incredibly fast and reassuring, I also received a phone call and email informing me when it was time for her follow up shots! Unfortunately, we decided today that tomorrow will be my last day with Bubba. I really just wrote this to express my deep gratitude towards Dr McConnell and the staff there at CKVC. The way the doctor has been throughout this whole process, I just couldn't have asked for anything more. Sympathetic, caring, and knowledgeable while also being clear and blunt with the prognosis and options. Honestly, I'm incredibly grateful, I got over 2 more weeks with my special boy than I thought I was going to after hearing what was going on. The girls that work there and I've met them all are caring and have a love and passion for animals. Before Enoch I brought my other 2 pitbulls and had similar experiences With each of them. Their prices are similar to every vet I know. Some items are slightly higher some are a lot lower but in no way have I ever experienced being gouged or anything close to being overcharged! do not hesitate to bring your pet here for their basic care. Of course this is not a practice that specializes in cancer treatment and or many of the highly specialized areas but they have relationships with those who do specialize in these areas and will coordinate care.
