Lots of parking! When you walk in, you can order at the bar and then wait at the other end for pick-up. I ordered a brown sugar maple latte and it was delicious. I would definitely come back here! I visited Wallhouse Coffee on a weekday afternoon in early Spring. The word "coffee" in the Wallhouse Coffee attracted me because I take detours for coffee and visiting coffee shops is sort of a hobby of mine. I checked out pics of Wallhouse Coffee and had my eye on it each time I drove by the place. The well crafted building I viewed from the road and the apparent excellence of the coffee and food in their pictures on Google maps (funny I don't remember checking Yelp) stirred in me a desire to stop for coffee each time I drove by the place. Well, one spring afternoon I finally had the chance to visit Wallhouse Coffee. On an early spring afternoon, I stopped in for just coffee. I ordered a latte and waited. I was impressed by the rustic elegance. The natural colors, soft lighting, and stone made me feel relaxed and had an upscale feel to it. The seating was a little strange to me. The high tables and seats and the several tables around the stone fire were not unusual. What was a little strange was the seating to the right of the entrance and to the left of the counter. Those areas had high walls around the booths or tables. The high walls around each table provided privacy. I think what made this seating or design strange was it felt like I was snooping in on people's private dining room experiences when I tried to look for a seat. You can't scan the dining area for a seat, other than the seating in the area by the fireplace. Instead you have to walk around the maze of seats to see if there is a table available. As i went through the maze or peaked around corners to find a seat I felt like I was intruding on someone's private party. There is a set of comfortable chairs in one corner of the dining area with walls on three sides of the chairs. These seats would be fine, but if you were in those seats you would be met by any customer who picked up their order. If I was a customer getting their order I would feel like I was intruding in someone's privacy as i stood nearby waiting for my order. They have patio seating which is nice for the warm weather. The pictures of coffee online, the glassware, the decor, and coffee brewing equipment they sell in store send messages of excellence and seriousness with coffee. I was pleasantly suprised to see on the bags of coffee that they sell in the store the origin and roaster's profile of the coffee and that they had light, medium, and dark options. I can't remember if they had single origin coffees in the store, but there are no single origin coffees on their website at the time of this review. They sell whole bean coffee and kcups. The menu has an extensive list of drinks and foods to choose from. I think the extensive drink menu is perfect for groups that have a variety of tastes. I could bring my nieces and nephews or fiends and they would all find something to drink. About the coffee. Here are several comments. (1) If they are serious about coffee, I would expect to see a nicer espresso machine. I would expect to see a La Marzocco, Slayer, or Synesso. (2) Also, I would expect to see a nicer drip brew machine, like Fecto. (3) they appear to be serious about coffee as evidenced by the small batch coffee roasting, craft coffee brewing equipment and craft brewed coffee options, and the information they include about each coffee they roast. But for someone like me who is used visiting craft coffee shops, I wonder if Wallhouse is compromising on the coffee. I wonder if they are compromising because it seems like they are focusing on many different things (tea, food, coffee, ice cream) in order to bring in as many people. That makes sense to me because just focusing on coffee may not be a good business model in the area. So, if I needed a place to go with my parents or extended family, I would go to Wallhouse Coffee because my parents, friends, and nieces and nephews would all find something that they could drink or eat. But as a person for whom coffee is a hobby, I wouldn't go here for excellent coffee. I would go here for an average coffee. That is no slam on Wallhouse, I'm just describing the place and naming whom I think they cater to. Wanted a chai tea. Only place open in the area with it was Wallhouse Coffee. Large restaurant with a drive thru. Hard to navigate parking lot for first time. Tight turn off road into the drive thru lane, down a hill to boot. Drive thru was efficient. Worker greeted and took order quickly. Could not read the sign though. Small lettering and set back from the order box. Thankfully I had looked online and knew what I wanted. Short wait in line for the chai. Not bad at all. Server was quite pleasant but confused by the change. Order came to $6.25 so gave her $21.25. Had to explain it was $15 back. Chai tea was good but not worth going there specifically for it. When back in the area, would go again to try something different or get an ice cream. read more

Imagine if Cold Stone Creamery and Panera had a baby, you would get Wallhouse Coffee! Tucked in the Amish country community, you often see many buggies parked out alongside with cars. This place has a huge parking lot, an outside patio, and seats inside as well! ICE CREAM: So, I didn't partake in any food in both of my visits (listen here folks, yes, I went twice in one weekend) but what I did have was the delicious homemade ice cream! MOCHA MONKEY Ice cream specialty A+: You get to choose the base of the ice cream (vanilla is the popular choice and the one I went with). They take the ice cream, put it on one of those cold stone ice cream plates, add a huge scoop of Reese cup and another huge scoop of Brownies... chop and mix it all together and throw it in a cup. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: Next, they make a small indent in the ice cream cup and top it off with hot ESPRESSO coffee! OMG! It's perfect! One would think this would melt the ice cream, but no no no, it doesn't. The ice cream is thick enough to take on the heat. It's simply delicious and I am craving another one right now. My tastebuds literally dream about this coffee! Hands down my favorite whole bean roast comes from Wallhouse. The Wayne's blend is roasted perfection with the most wonderful mix of Kona! The Powerhouse latte is the taste that mixes decadence and bold in one sip. If I lived closer I'd be a regular. Unfortunately, I don't but the travel time is worth the splurge on Wayne's blend whole bean. The drive through is efficient and fast and they are always very friendly when I have questions or just not sure which to try next. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and stop here you'll think of this review later! Oh and do try the powerhouse latte if you're not sure what to get you won't be disappointed! read more

Wallhouse Favorites: The Brown Riser, truly the only drink I ever order! I might need an intervention. Half & Half, brown Sugar Syrup, Espresso, so yum. Be aware that a large does not fill a full cup but that's ok because it is so rich & decadent! My husband swears by the Creme de la Creme. It's sweet and has a great flavor. I always order the Brickyard Salad when I need a quick, filling lunch and it never disappoints. Their paninis are a tad dry and I feel for the price they should offer a side with them. The burritos are nice & large. The one time I indulged in a yoguccino is was delicious! I got a chai flavored one and it was spot on. Now the ice cream, the ice cream is to die for if you get the Caramel Coffee Lovers. Prepared on a cold stone slab you get vanilla ice cream with bits of toffee, drizzled caramel and espresso. Seriously a favorite. Cons can be that the service can be a tad slow, depending on who makes the Brown Riser it can be a tad bit inconsistent, and there can be quite a wait over the breakfast or lunch rush. The ambiance is definitely more business than cozy, so be aware of that. A great place to get work done though. Talking about breakfast, their Breakfast Bowl is quite good as is their Egg o Muffin which is only $1.99. Overall, I would recommend Wall House as a great local coffee shop. Coffee is average at best. Nice atmosphere but that is about it. Service was average. Been there 3 times to give it a fair evaluation.

My husband and I stopped here after driving in to SugarCreek from Pittsburgh. We got in to town at about 8pm and unfortunately, this was the only restaurant open at that hour on a Friday night. I specifically told the cashier this was the first time we had been there so you would have thought she explained things a little and maybe asked if we wanted drinks or sides since everything is a la carte. I got the Cuban which was a ham and cheese sandwich with mustard and pickles...not my idea of a Cuban. MY husband got a quesadilla. The cashier had mumbled something peppers so the quesadilla ended up being spicier than it needed to be. Every table was filthy. The food was pretty pricey (roughly $45 for 2 sandwiches, soup and nachos) and not very good. We didn't know what to do with our garbage after we were finished so we just left it on the table which is what seemed to be what to do. 2 stars for being the only place to eat in the town. read more

What a nice little coffee shop and cafe. To echo another Yelper, the vibe for their food and service style is very Panera-y. They have a walk up menu and they call for you for pickup when the food is prepared. There was a bunch of bread for sale too! Came by for some ice cream on a weeknight and it was pretty good! They use the Coldstone method to mix up to 3 toppings into the ice cream base of your choice. I got a small with Strawberry Shortcake toppings (chopped strawberries and pie crust) in vanilla ice cream and was not disappointed! The portion was generous for a small and they were very liberal with the amount of fresh fruit they used. They had a cute little patio with string lights and outdoor seating where we enjoyed our ice cream. The vibe outside was very relaxed and there were tons of locals there, some even having a bible study. While not disruptive to our group, these events might get in the way of some folks reading or studying, so be wary of that. But all in all, a great stop for quick service and a nice sweet treat. read more

A great alternative to the McD's next door. This is a beautiful little spot, super well decorated with a patio & a drive thru if you don't have time to stop. Wallhouse has a small menu with something for everyone. They even have ice cream which I look forward to trying on my next visit. I've been through the drive thru for an iced latte before, but I'm so glad I made time to go inside today. They have a display of coffee beans on the wall where you can purchase & even grind them and buy a fancy (or not so fancy) apparatus in which to brew them. Back to the important stuff! Today I tried the light roast pour over. Delicious and a hardy 16oz portion! I feel like the price point for this amount and quality is right on the mark! Since one cannot thrive on coffee alone, I also ordered a breakfast bowl. It did not disappoint. It wasn't remarkable but it was tasty. Wallhouse is one of my favorite chill spots, to either go sip on some amazing fresh brewed coffee or latte while taking some work calls, or meeting a friend up for a delicious lunch I normally get Chipotle Chicken burrito ! Ok imagine Panera Bread... Clean, relatively nice style, if perhaps somewhat boring. A place where you go to quickly get decent food and ok coffee but not somewhere you really go for an awesome atmosphere or amazing food. And of course it's a chain so you can go to one wherever you want, which tremendously dials down the cool factor. Now think of a third wave coffee shop. A perfect example would be Blue Bottle. As hipster as anywhere; workers and decor. The style is fresh, minimalistic; somewhere you go for the refreshing vibe. And yet, really you go for the world class coffee. After you've been there you might as well forget about trying to find better coffee. Ok, now imagine combining those two places. Of course that wouldn't work... Enter Wallhouse. I went there and didn't really find anything on the coffee menu that impressed me, so I just got an ok cappuccino that could have been from Panera. After I ordered I looked around a little and discovered some things that totally belong in Blue Bottle. It turns out that they have the option of making coffee in the tried and true pour over method; amazingly, such extremities as siphon and tower brew exist as an option too. These methods are something I've previously only seen being used by the most hardcore of the hardcore. Wallhouse also roasts their own beans and they have a few decent single-origin offerings, which is impressive. So basically what I'm saying is that this place really confuses me. How can you combine the basic qualities and lack of craftsmanship of a chain bakery with the painstaking attention to detail and extensive quality of a third wave coffee shop? What inspires them to roast decent coffee and then ruin it with the inconsistencies of airpots and such like? If you don't care about coffee so much, go to Wallhouse and you will be pleased. However, if you are a coffee snob, this place will be a source of confusion and frustration. And it's possible, among the lousy drinks, you may find something quite decent. read more

We went through the drive through. It was hard to hear through the machine but the worker was so helpful and said we could pull up to the window to finish our order. He was so friendly and smiling. The coffee was delicious. My mother in law has been raving that it is the best iced coffee she has ever had. She says she wishes it was never ending. Everyone else liked theirs. Just some advice, coffee has a cinnamon spice flavor, and ask for half syrup if you don't want it too sweet. read more

I live a state over and visit Sugarcreek which is the middle of no where just to have coffee here and pizza up the road. They have great blends, especially their decaf. They also do Siphon pour which is one of the best ways to experience coffee I've had aside from Trifecta. You also get a free cup of coffee when you buy a bag of beans and they roast on site. I haven't had much of the food but what I have had was tasty and reasonably priced. I tend not to write reviews but seeing that they didn't have 4 or 5 stars ticked me off enough to have to post here. I spent 3 days in sugarcreek last month and was at Wallhouse 3x. read more

Great food, but slow and distracted staff. Also seemed understaffed; tables left unclean, dirty dishes piled up as you walk in. In fact, a customer volunteered to carry the dirty dishes back to make space. I asked for a rag to clean my own table. They got several things wrong on our order. But food was good.
