Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch.
