I generally like to leave positive notes about a service but am unable to with this company. The only good thing I can write about is that the plumber was professional and had extensive knowledge about the community sewage system in my neighborhood. I called this company because the septic pump was sluggish in removing wastewater. After evaluating the pumping system, he stated there was overpressure in the system and possibly root infiltration so he could not do anything to fix this.  Since I am on a graveyard schedule and was running on about an hour of sleep, I took this at face value and went back to bed.   After a couple of days, I considered this and it really did not make much sense in the fact he said back flow was abundant and also, not one of my neighbors complained since we share the community sewage line so others should have that same kind of problem with back pressure being equal in the sewage line.   I thought that it also could be an airlock because I had this issue before, so I took off an air release screw off the pipe and turned on the pump,  There was no issue with the pump working and the pressure was very good so I keep it running for a couple of minutes before checking and then I found the problem. There is an evident crack in the plastic tube that from what I could see, goes into the pump housing and water was just gushing out.  Understand that I have never went to a plumbing trade school and as it follows, never worked in the field and yet diagnosed the problem correctly.  I fell that I just burned almost $100 and got nothing for this and now am considering who to hire that can replace the defective pipe. read more

Excellent service everytime I have used this company. I told the lady who answers the phone (sorry I can't remember your name) what was going on and what I think it needs and she relayed that message to the guys who were coming to look. They showed up and had the part ready to go after they diagnosed the issue. They were great and ensured everything was working great before leaving. I don't usually post reviews on Yelp but in this case the service was so great I had to share. Around mid-morning as the temperature started to approach triple digits (common in these parts) my wife and I noticed our central air was blowing warm air despite being set to "Cool." Folks who live around here know this is an unacceptable situation that demands IMMEDIATE attention. So, we called Wallner Plumbing, Heating and Air as they are who we trust for the yearly service of our home's heating and air unit. The dispatcher who took our call understood our situation and said they'd have someone there ASAP. A few minutes later, Andy showed up at our door. He assessed the problem, determined it was a faulty capacitor and had it replaced and blowing cold air in no time. So, from phone call to resolution of problem? LESS THAN AN HOUR!!! This is my second review of Wallner Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning. This one is for my daughter's roof-mounted air-conditioning unit house. Today, I called Wallner and Sally(?) put me on hold for a few minutes, while she contacted one of their techs. She came back and told me they could be out from 10-1 on the same day. Wonderful, I said. At around 9am I get a call, asking if they could come early, and I said "sure". Darren showed up, checked out the thermostat in the house, first; then got up on the roof, and within a few minutes found the defective part. He quoted me a reasonable price, and after I agreed, he went to his truck and got the part, installed it, and started up the unit. Very COOL! Unlike some other competitors here in Redding, Wallner showed up the same day I called. And just as nice, they didn't try to upsell me an entirely new system (like others here in town have done). Wallner just comes out, fixes what's broken, and handles the entire process in good time, and they do so in a very professional manner. By the way, the temperatures have been from 112 to 108 here lately, so I know that these guys are busy with a lot of calls. But, like the other times I've needed them, they came out in good time, and didn't attempt to rip me off. read more

I wish I could give them a good review, but I didn't have a chance. I called and had them out to look at a leak. They showed me how to manage my hot water until we could get it fixed. That was a Saturday. I set up a time to get a bid to get it fixed. He came back on Monday and looked over the house and said he would have a bid to fix and could be done within 2 weeks. On Wednesday, I called and spoke to the dispatcher. She said she would check and get back to us. Nothing.... On Friday we called another plumbing company. Bid on the job before he left, I approved it, and it was done within a week. I still have no response from Wallner Plumbing after 2 weeks. Don't waste your time on this company. read more

I can't emphasize enough that this is not a good company to do business with. The plumber did his job alright, but his estimate was $400 and the bill that arrived was over $600! We reluctantly paid the bill, but the plumber wrote "VOID" on the check. Then we received a bill in the mail for the $600 again! Don't choose this company if you want a fair deal! read more

They have did my plumbing needs for several years now and they do great work and stand behind it. I just had to have a water heater replaced and they worked all day and brought everything up to todays codes. Charged my elderly mother to "fix" a leaking under her bathroom sink. Said it was the hot water supply line, replaced that and charged her. A few days later, the leak continued, called them back out. This time...they say it's the faucet and want $250 to replace it (and she had already purchased the faucet) as they say "that's actually what's leaking". On June 6th our a/c unit went out and we called our home warranty ( former I should say) and they sent out a rep from a company in Elk Grove CA which is 3 hours from us. After they came out, and gave us little confidence, we began the process through them and the warranty company. I called Wallner for a 2nd opinion the next day and they sent a gentleman right out. He agreed the unit was " shot", and 2 days later after being lied to and misled by the HVAC company and our warranty, we fired all of them and called Wallner. The old company told us it would be the end of July or early August, and when I called and brought Wallners onboard, they told us they could do it on July 9th. The process was so easy to go through with Wallner, and true to their word they showed up July 5th for the pre-inspection, then the 8th to remove the old unit and prep, and on July 9th w got our brand new unit onboard. We had to finance a portion of the cost, but Deanna, Glenn, Troy, Daniel and everyone else involved, you made this bad situation so much better than it could have been. We are EXTREMELY HAPPY with everything to do with this, so do yourself a favor and utilize this company. You will not be disappointed. read more

Let me clarify... because today Nov 6th 2020, when Mr. Pat Wallner personally called me to threaten me with calling his lawyer for "defamation" regarding this post. This is NOT his equipment in the photo and no damage done by his crew. This image/review is only to show I HAD A MAJOR LEAK that his employee's couldn't find. The same leak his partner Andy finally found but never quoted. Mr. Wallner please don't insult my integrity!! This is why, I thought, I called a credible PLUMBER and IF you didn't want my business you could have advised me... when your man walked out of my house on the 28th of Oct!!! When I had my issue and someone else needed the business enough to resolve!!! Not on Nov 6th when you finally read my review and then you decide to honor me with a follow up call and tell me "you wouldn't be doing my work because of the direction of plumbing and the addition to my home .... and you didn't appreciate my review" ... First of all.. Let me remind you "I was a REFERRAL" you could have at least offered to repipe my home and fix the "bad plumbing" you complain of!! Well, it went something like this: 1. I call with an emergency A/C issue during the middle of July and was told the tech on-call would call me and be able to assist as needed. 2. Tech called me and said he could not help and that a person responsible for scheduling would call me first thing Monday morning. Not ideal but help would be on the way. 3. No call... 4. Called to make an appointment for the next available slot, which, given the summer season, was days and days later. 5. Called back days later to determine if the appointment timing could be slightly adjusted for that same day and was told they had no appointment scheduled for my service, so the scheduling person had to reschedule me for another day. I had spoken to the same individual scheduler earlier and I had added the appointment to my calendar. 6. Tech finally arrives on the appointed day to look at the problem and tells me that he did not have the required parts and could not address the problem that day. He said he would call me with a date/time for the repair as well as a quote. 7. No call... 8. Called the scheduling person the following day and she told me the tech was busy and would call me. 9. No call... 10. I called the scheduling person once again and was told the tech was busy and that my A/C problem would be addressed first thing Monday morning at 8:00 AM, but she had no information about the quote because the tech was not available but that he would call me when free. 11. No call... 12. After a call at the crack of 9:15 AM (So much for first thing at 8:00 AM on Monday morning.) I was told the tech would arrive after getting the necessary parts. 13. Two different techs arrived at the house after 10:00 AM and made the repairs. 14. The two techs had no knowledge of the promised quote. If you choose to patronize Wallner, please plan to be your own advocate and scheduling secretary because their communication is awful. This was like working with the federal government, except each day was late on a Friday afternoon before a long holiday weekend. read more

The day before our home sold, in the night, we found out there was a leak. Making matters worse, we were not home! We had moved out. Had wall furnace in my home and it was 40 years old and gave up the ghost. I called several companies and got either no answer or was told they would have to install another type of system because "they don't make wall furnaces anymore". When I called Wallner I was very pleasantly surprised, the lady on the phone said she would have a technician call me back, she was very nice and professional but I was skeptical. A short time later the phone rang and I was told they would be right over. He showed up and checked my system and told me what I already suspected, the unit need replacing. He told me he was heading back to the office and would call me in the morning with an estimate. I got my call as promised and he told me he had call his distributors and the were out of stock on the unit I needed. I got a call from Patrick Wallner ( the owner) and he told me they found a unit and were having it shipped in. When the unit arrived the came to the house, removed the old unit, replaced it with a new updated wall furnace and had it up and running in 1 day! They were professional, curious, and when they left you would never know they had been there. I am so impressed with the level of service I received I will never use anyone else for my plumbing and heating needs!! read more

After getting cancellations Over multiple days, from two other plumbing companies contracted by our home warranty company, we called Wallner plumbing and they came out the same day. Bob Hollowell was my plumbing angel! He was very respectful and gracious to let me ask questions and be his helper. He worked and worked on our clogged mainline drain in the pouring rain until he found the problem. Told me to feel free to call if we wanted to ask him anymore questions as my husband wasn't there when he serviced the mainline. I had another plumbing problem today and I called Wallner and requested Bob! They accommodated my preference, quoted me $145 and are sending someone out in a couple of hours. My A/C went down last summer, over the July 4th break and I couldn't get ahold of the company I regularly use. Wallner's called me back that day, and had someone out within hours. I was freaking out because I know emergency calls can be quite pricey but with small children and triple digits I had no choice. The service tech was incredibly nice, was able to fix the issue same day, and the bill (I feel) was very reasonable. He also updated me on some options if it goes out again which I was very grateful for. He went beyond just "fixing" the issue. I highly recommend. read more

Horrible. Fixed the leak by stuffing 3 washers in the faucet so the shower didn't work, something a handyman would do. Didn't give a quote until after he did that. Over 200. charge. He said if he actually fixed it, it would cost over 800. I regret using this company. read more

We had an issue with a routine air conditioner inspection that was done a few weeks ago and now we found a clogged condenser drain pipe and some mold. Mr. Wallner called me back himself within an hour of the time I reported the concern to his office. He personally came out to our house, with his brother the co-owner, and looked at the issue and took care of it on the spot. Patrick Wallner completely exceeded our expectations and took ownership of the problem. I can't express enough how grateful I am for his proactive and genuine customer service. I have not had service like this from any one else in the Redding area. I would also like to add that while we never left the garage while they were here, both Wallner's had masks on before they entered the garage and all reasonable safety precautions were taken during their visit. read more

I like to think of myself as a DIYer but sometimes it gets me into trouble. I was installing a new vanity in the guest bathroom and it was going well until I had to hook up the new bowl and faucets. The connections were very tight and I ended up breaking one of the lines. There wasn't any water but my attempts to fix the problem got me into more trouble. I got myself in deep and I finally realized I had to call a professional. It was a weekend and I figured I wouldn't find a plumber on the weekend that didn't cost me a fortune. I can happily report Wallner Plumbing was very responsive, quickly installed new lines, and did not cost me a fortune. They cleaned up when they were done and were very polite. I can't recommend them any better. The next time my DIYing puts me in a plumbing problem, I will contact Wallner without reservation. read more

Pros: Fast response, courteous, did the work quickly and efficiently. Cons: Expensive! Was charged almost $500 to replace a faulty kitchen faucet. Would I recommend this company? Yes and No. If money is no object then go for it. If you are on a budget you might want to look around for a second opinion or find a handyman who can do the job cheaper. Good customer service in the office, serviceman was friendly and knowledgeable. A little too expensive. After diagnosing the problem, I was told my unit needed refrigerant and probably around 4 lbs. He guesstimated the cost to be about $350. He ended up only having to put in 10 oz. I was charged $250. I'm not a math wizard but by my calculations I was charged about $100 too much.
