Then the owner gave me a great referral to another very honest shop. Anytime an estimate has ended up being higher is when other issues were discovered during the repair. That's normal and expected, and no way possible to anticipate and estimate over the phone. I question the brake line review as I was a boy once and I raised three of them... I'm guessing there may have been a bit of a communication breakdown somewhere and I suspect it was between his ears. I'm guessing it was more an issue of him not understanding everything. My recommendation is: a) bring your problem to Brian, b) have him look at it, diagnose it, and then give you repair options/prices, c) have him fix it.

Came back 40 minutes later and when I walked in, the desk attendant said, "oh sorry, we will get that right in!" He says we should have it for you in 15-20 minutes. I'm sitting here shopping for tools I will need to rotate my own tires.
