I came here to help a friend, she purchased her tires here and I came in the hopes of them repairing a tire with a nail in it. The check in was efficient, quick and friendly. The tire was covered under her previous purchased and all recorded in their system. While waiting I witness them de-escalate an issue with another customer and they went out of their way to find them tires to meet their needs. Not sure where previous negative comments come from, the Walmart team members have been beyond accommodating and helpful. The recommendation may be to get here early before they become overwhelmingly busy. Apparently they do get very busy because they are the only Walmart auto center in the area and they had to schedule out oil changes and turn people away - definitely not in a rude way. read more

I brought my car in to remove a screw and get my tire plug. Waiting for 2 hours, I return to find my car outside the shop. When I entered and wait about 30 minutes to be seen by the sales associate, He told me the price of $92 ? I asked $92 for WHAT? He then replied that my tire wasn't repairable. So they had to replace my tire. Hello, why didn't I get a call to let me know that ? BEWARE !!! They are taking it upon themselves to make decisions for you and charging you for it. read more

Had a 12pm appointment for a tire install and oil change. I was told 40-50 minutes. Ended up leaving at 3pm when they were just about to start the oil. Since I was already livid at the amount of time for the tires, I demanded my car back. On what planet does a tire install and oil change take over 3 hours to do? Planet Walmart. Spoke to a manager, Michele, who did absolutely nothing. Tire install was done right, so a slight bonus there. Unless you have an entire day to waste, avoid this place. read more

I waited about 20 minutes here just waiting for someone to show up and help.There was a guy here that was waiting even longer. I had to get another Walmart associate to help me find the people working this section of the store but even he could not get in contact with them. I ordered two Douglas tires for my Sienna van. I stopped by the auto care center this morning. They greeted me politely with good manners. I told them to install my tires and do the tire rotations. After all paper work done, I went home and come back around 6 pm to pay and pick up my car. Based on my observation, wait time of tires installation will be long. So, it will be nice to drop your car in the morning and pick up later in the evening. They have good price on Douglas tires ($50 each) which are manufactured by Goodyear. The installation, tire balance and old tire disposal fees are cheap. Overall, I have good experience toward Walmart auto center service. read more

Believe all the bad reviews. I would give them a negative rating if possible. For a company that is known for it's legendary logistics prowess, they can't seem to get their inventory numbers correct. Case in point, I ordered 4 tires from Walmart.com to be delivered to the Edison NJ location so that it can be installed at their Auto Care Center. I received an email saying ALL 4 tires were received by the store. When I went to get them installed, they said it would take a little while to get them installed since i was a walk-in. No problem, I expected this and scheduled plenty of time for this. After almost 2 hours of waiting, they informed me they couldn't find my 4th tire and only received 3 tires. When I asked the manager how come they didn't tell me sooner, they said that they were looking for it to no avail. Bottom line, if a business can't get the small things right like counting how many tires are supposed to be in inventory, how am I supposed to trust them with installing what I would consider the most important parts of a car while driving. Unfortunately from the past reviews I've been reading on Yelp and other websites, they don't seem to care to rectify these issues. P.S. When I asked how Walmart could rectify this, the manager said that this happens a lot and they don't have any contingency plan on how to compensate customers for wasting their time. Probably the worst auto care center ever. Usually people park in front of the gates and Walmart representative approaches them to make a service order. No representative was there outside today. So I parked and came inside and waited in the line half an hour (which is unreasonable because only 2 customers were in front of me). Then Walmart technician approached me and asked to move the car out of the gate. I did it and lost my place in the line. Then I waited another half an hour in line again. In the end, Walmart representative told me that they have no available tire in stock to replace it on my car. So I wasted whole hour for nothing. read more

Service is extremely slow. None is behind the register for 20 minutes at a time. Once the cashier is back it could take another 5 minutes before you are greeted. For a simple oil change the wait ended up being 2 hours when the estimate was 1 hour. read more

I arrived at 6:45 am as the store opened at 7 am. I was the 6th person on line and some of those ahead of me arrived at 6:00 am. It seemed that the only person scheduled to work at 7:00 am, called in sick. The manager of the store was called, he walked around, but didn't assist any of the customers. At 7:45 someone showed up who they apparently called in from his day off. To say he was rude and condescending to those of us who had already been there for over an hour, is being kind. At 8:55 they finally had me checked into the system. I asked this individual for close estimate as to when I could expect to be on my way, he told me, 12:30....I should've known better...I was finally done 7.5 hours after I arrived....at 2:30. It seems they only bring in one person to work on the cars at 7, another at 8 and so on....how poor is this. I don't even want to go into how many times I called during the week only to be hung up on after being on hold for 20 minutes plus. While I did save money on tires, my personal time in worth far more that having to put up with all the aggravation. I true lesson learned here. I spent much of my time walking and shopping in the main store. While I didn't run into any issues there, I couldn't help but notice how empty the store seemed for a Saturday. I've never been to this particular Walmart before, however all others I've been to are usually packed this time of day. I could only think that perhaps the experience I had in the Tire Department is indicative of the way the whole store is managed/run. Today was an extremely disappointing day...... read more

So Slow. I went there in the afternoon and the women behind the counter said 2 1/2 hour wait for an oil change and tire rotation. I get it, the place can be busy at times. She suggested I come back right when they open. I showed up at 9am and with one car ahead of me getting new tires the man at the counter said 45 minutes. 2 1/2 hours later at 11:30 my car was finished. I never saw them working on any other car except mine and the tire install I mentioned earlier. I know accords have a skid plate but it takes me 30 minutes or less when I do it myself in the driveway. Never again. read more

Came in for a basic oil change. I was told one and a half hours the car will be done. I am still waiting and it's been 3 hours now. I would give them a 0 stars but that's not possible. I gave it a 1 star just because they gave me a gift card for my time. It's just ridiculous the amount of time you need to spend here to get anything done. My time is valuable and I will definately not come to this auto center again. To be honest I will not go to any more walmart autocenters after this crazy experience. This isn't the first time this has happened to me at Walmart. Lesson learned. Be prepared to wait here for hours for anything. There are also other people here who have been waiting longer than me and they still aren't done either. Their excuse was that they only have 2 technicians here. That's not my problem. I purchase tires because of the warranty. But like anything else cheap, the service reflects it. I've come with appointments and without. Doesn't matter always 3 plus hours wait. I waited from 7am until almost 11 for a flat fix! One mechanic took a coffee break at 10am. He hadn't even been working for 2 hours! When he finally gets to my tires, he explains that the problem is the nozzle which they do not carry. How do you fix tires but don't have parts? He was going to let me leave with a leaking valve had I not asked the clerk whether there was anything they could do to stop the leak. The clerk informed me that they could replace the valve with a rubber one to stop the leak though the sensor would still read the error. Why hadn't the mechanic offered this option rather than allow me to leave without even a temporary solution? Poor service! It sucks that we have to choose between saving money and quality service. I give Walmart Gainesville Auto center a 5 thumbs down. We took our car for the first time to get the oil changed then we noticed spots of oil in our CLEAN driveway, we made a 2nd trip they didn't see anything, well we made a 3rd trip today and low and behold they see the leak. Well it was the plug and guess what they don't sell plugs so they STILL couldn't fix it. REALLY?? We still have a leak and they did NOTHING TO HELP. Never again. Shame you Walmart auto center Gainesville. The manager did absolutely nothing. Very poor customer service. Y'all Beware. Again to clarify we never had a leak until they touched our car. read more
