I said "WHAT"?? The car only had 48000 miles on it and I drove it into their parking lot just a screeching!! S0, they show me the paperwork and it does have listed a "rear" brake pad kit, so they are saying that this is what they replaced, the rears and not the fronts!!! Wait a minute, I drove it into the lot and I know which set of brakes they replaced!!! I don't care what the paperwork states, clerical error Im assuming. They would not budge, said I was wrong and basically called me a liar!!! Now I may be getting a little older but I do know my way around a car a little and Ive been scammed by some pretty creative people, but I didn't think I would be treated so rudely and called a liar to my face! I would NEVER do business with this type of operation and would recommend to whoever may be reading this to AVIOD them!!!

In about three minutes, they had the problem diagnosed. The front bottom engine cover had come loose, and was flapping in the wind. They had us back up and on the road in about 15 minutes. They were super nice and helpful, even throwing the tires back on the car they were working on and moving it off the lift, so they could get us fixed. A $20 bill was all they charged. This place has a bad rap from previous management, but with Preston in charge now the place is definitely making moves to becoming a great shop in Houghton Lake once again. A while back, my serpentine belt broke, and he managed to get me in and get it fixed and told me then and there that my alternator was also bad which might've been the reason why the serpentine belt broke in the first place. After getting the alternator replaced, I drove it downstate and realized that my vehicle voltage was surging brought it back to him and he thinks the alternator was defective straight out of the box so he's taking care of that for me. I know he just loves working on my vehicle so much. And I'm sure he looks forward to me bringing it in all the time. ;) definitely would recommend this shop

At the counter, I believe his name is Joe, he's extremely hard-working and very sweet. He's always been willing to help pack up my vehicle from the bay... Which embarrassingly makes me quite uncomfortable to do and he has no problem doing it... Even when he was wearing a cast on his leg a couple years back... They are prompt with their service offer amazing pricing and no bullshit attitude... they are honest and do the work as quick as possible... Their inventory is a little bit small because the location itself is small offering only to bass and a small show room with a TV and a couple of chairs. However they will order in just about anything that you could want and call you as soon as it arrives. I cannot believe I did not think of putting a review in sooner but I'm glad that I checked in today and decided to add my opinions I highly recommend anyone to go here whether you are passing through with an emergency when it comes to your tires or if you were in the surrounding area looking for a go to shop when you need this service.
