I wanted to replace the battery regardless since 5 years old but tech talked me out of it since alternator would kill the battery. Car was under warranty, so I took it back to the dealership. They checked it out and issue was bad battery, and not the alternator. Since battery is not covered under warranty, I had to pay for diagnostics and buy a battery. No issues with the car since the battery was replaced. This caused a big waste of time and money!

I wasn't sure of the size because the vehicle did not belong to me and I'm not super knowledgeable about cars. I suggested he could look up the size by year make and model (because he expected me to know it and I did not) but he requested to see a photo of the one currently in the vehicle. After looking at it, he said "this size should fit" and cashed me out for 1"-1 3/4". Needless to say, he could not give less of a sh*t. He was on his phone texting the whole time he was helping me and barely looked up at me once. The size was too small. There was only one customer in there and he was getting ready to leave when the employee started talking to him. The employee, Leroy, is one of the managers but he did not even have the courtesy to tell me, "I'll be right with you." I waited for a few minutes while he continued chatting to this customer. Finally, I said that I had to go to work so the customer cordially left but Leroy got upset and accused me of not being patient and how important the other customer was because of the amount of money he spends and so on. Very disappointing experience -- engine failed after oil change…read more I am extremely disappointed with the service my daughter received at this Valvoline location. She took her Honda to Valvoline for an oil change, trusting them to properly service the vehicle. Approximately three months later, the engine completely locked up due to having no oil. When the vehicle was inspected by another mechanic, he found that the oil filter was loose. This raises a very serious concern about whether the oil filter was properly installed during the Valvoline service. What makes this even more frustrating is that Valvoline has claimed they told my daughter at the time of service that she had an engine oil leak. However, there is no documentation showing that she was warned about an oil leak. If she had actually been told there was a significant leak, she absolutely would have had the vehicle checked. There was also no oil leaking onto the ground where she routinely parked the vehicle, which makes Valvoline's explanation even more questionable. We are now dealing with a locked-up engine and the enormous expense of repairing or replacing it. My daughter trusted Valvoline to perform a basic oil change correctly, and we believe the loose oil filter needs to be taken seriously as a possible cause of the oil loss and resulting engine failure. We have asked Valvoline to investigate the situation and provide documentation supporting their claim that she was warned about an oil leak. I would strongly encourage anyone using this location to keep your receipt, ask exactly what was found during the inspection, and document everything after your service. We trusted the professionals to do something as basic as properly install an oil filter, and we are now facing a potentially very expensive engine replacement.
