This is probably the first and only shop I've ever seen call the police on someone just because they were justifiably upset over hearing bad/random news about their car. Instead of being somewhat reasonable they decide to call the police because the customer wanted to take their car somewhere else to be looked at (keep in mind the car was driven to the shop just fine) but apparently the shop broke something which made the car unusable. They were essentially forcing the customer to pay for them to fix the problem that they caused and got upset when the customer declined. Yes this was a racially charged escalation and it's sad that people still do weird stuff like this instead of being half decent. I personally won't be doing business with this place and I would HIGHLY encourage others to do the same ESPECIALLY if you're black. read more

UPDATE - WE CALLED GOODYEAR AS THEY REQUESTED AND I WAS ON HOLD FOR ONE HOUR. I LEFT A MESSAGE "THREE TIMES"TO CALL ME BACK AND GOODYEAR STILL HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALL!!! My wife and I have done Thousands of dollars and years of business but that unfortunately will end. They ran our 2010 Suburban right front bumper into the yellow post at the bay door entrance. My wife seen it when she picked it up and she showed and told the manager "Powers" but he claimed someone hit us in the parking lot. No cars are painted with Yellow safety house paint. The manager asked the mechanic about it but he denied it and they offered to do nothing. Later we compared the paint on our bumper to the safety post and it was the same. They tried to claim the paint did not match "Bull". This is a Bad business, bad mechanic and bad Manager. They are dishonest people and I will make sure we tell everyone we can to not do business with this Fern Creek location. read more

Wow, I have to say that Aaron Mills and the Crew at Goodyear in Fern Creek KY, are just exceptional. Nothing means more to me than a Mechanic who is Honest. That is Number ONE priority. They originally quoted me what they thought was like 300 dollars in parts with 300 or so in labor and later found out that the problem could be solved another MUCH cheaper way. They could have just left it that way, and did all the extra work and made MORE money, but they called me and explained a better cheaper way. This is as GOOD as it gets with Auto repair in my opinion. I value Honesty and someone looking out for me as a consumer ABOVE all else. Went in for an oil change. The staff was very attentive, professional, and friendly. When the oil change was completed, I was given a complete list of things that needed immediate attention ( admittedly an older vehicle with many issues). There was no pressure, just recommendations and understanding. Great place to go. I don't enjoy having to get my car worked on, but the e staff at Meineke makes it pretty painless. I had a small accident recently and thought that an alignment would correct the issue after replacing a tire and wheel. Unfortunately, a rod arm was bent. These guys quickly identified the issue, explained my options and once they got the approval, had my car fixed up and ready to go in a day with no appointment made. Very impressed! I brought my car in for a brake check because I bought it used and wasn't sure of when or if they had ever been serviced. They checked and told me that the brakes look fine and won't need anything for another 10,000 miles. That's honest! If I could give this place lower than one star, I would! I would like to start this review off with saying that I've been a customer of Goodyear for about 4 years. I have gotten my oil changes and any other necessary maintenance done here. Last night, I was cleaning the corrosion off of my battery when I noticed that the nut had fused with the bolt on the positive connecter. I called Goodyear on Bardstown Road and asked if they could change the battery and acceptor for me. The guy said he could, but they wouldn't get to it until the morning (which was okay). I literally have not had any trouble starting my car, I just had a ton of battery corrosion. I received a phone call around 8:30am telling me that my car was ready, but I also needed a new alternator. Brian quoted me $577 for the battery, connector, and alternator. He told me that my alternator was having a reading of 10 volts where it should be around 14 volts. (I should probably also mention that I'm 22 and in college. I'm paying my tuition out of pocket for this semester, so $577 is a lot of money for me!) I told him that I would call him back in a few minutes and let him know if I was going to do it. I called my parents who mentioned said I didn't need it because my car was starting just fine and my lights weren't dimming. I called Brian back and told him that I was unable to pay that amount, so I was going to hold off. He proceeded to say, "Well, try not to drive your car a lot because it's going to leave you stranded!" I hung up the phone, angry because I felt like he was trying to strong-arm me into paying more money. I picked up my car later that day and when I started it, the radio didn't come on. Brian proceeded to tell me that it was because they changed the battery (I guess after changing a battery on a Honda, you need to have a code to get the radio to work properly again). I explained to him that the display wasn't even coming on and he said that a fuse probably blew. He did fix that. I drove my car to school, terrified the entire time that I was going to break down on the expressway. I decided that I was going to take my car to the Honda dealership to get a second opinion on the alternator. They fit me in and tested my battery and my alternator (twice because I told them Goodyear got a reading of 10 volts). The service worker called me and said that my alternator was fine and had a reading of 14.1 volts both times he tested it. I am never going back to a Goodyear again. I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me because I'm a young, female college student. The fact that Brian even tried to strong-arm me into getting a new alternator when I didn't even need one isn't just bad customer service, it's showing that he's a bad person. If you are a woman, don't go here. read more

Simply taking 3 extra seconds to say I'm so sorry but we are unable to service mowers, would have kept me as a return customer. Referring me to someone that could help would have earned 5 stars. I took my car there and they said the engine couldn't be fixed. One of the mechanics "luckily" had a car he was selling that would be " a good solid" car. I trusted him working at Goodyear. I gave him $3200 and the car died about 1 week later. A different mechanic said the oil had metal in it. When I complained to Goodyear's mechanic I was told that it was my fault because older cars just burn through oil and I should have known to add oil, but when I got the car from Goodyear, the guy said he had just topped the oil off and it didn't need to be changed anytime soon. read more

WTF these guys don't have a clue, every time I come here I cover my seats with white towels and every time they come back covered in black grease. Black grease on the interior, on the carpet, on the door panels, on the steering wheel, on the door handles. All the tires and mag wheels are covered in black grease, it only takes a few hours to remove all the grease, like I have nothing better to do but baby sit these PIGS? you get what you pay for. The guy that shuttles your car is covered from head to toe in black grease. they are PIGS here and don't care about your car. Please go somewhere where they care about the customer. I tried to walk-in yesterday afternoon for a tire repair and a rotation and was told it would be a two hour wait, but if I made an appointment then following day I would get right in. Today I show up for my 4pm appointment and my car hasn't moved from the parking lot 50 mins later. They got busy, which is understandable.
