When the belt started squeaking again, I was told I needed to replace the alternator. I was lucky enough walk into South Street Auto Repair. They diagnosed an oil leak was causing the squeak (not the alternator LOL). Drake stayed in touch with me daily, as they walked me through different diagnostics, repairs and costs. They fixed my squeaky belt, oil leaks, manifold leak and failed ignition coil. Brian my mechanic was very cleanly working on my car and paid attention to every detail. Finally, my exhaust is quiet, my belt is not squeaking and a slight engine hesitation that has been on going is resolved. I can't say enough good about this repair facility. I would have saved a lot of time and money if they were the first shop I would have been my first repair shop!!!

Do not take your vehicle to this business for extensive repairs with researching. I took my car to…read morethem 10 months ago (Aug) and paid $1927.84 for new rotors, brakes, and calipers. They installed the parts and drove off assuming all was well. A week or so later I had to return as my new brakes were squeaking. So I came back and they shared the brakes were fine and they had some dust. After cleaning the dust they claim all was well. Driving away I was hoping so. Over the next few months Feb/March I was driving the vehicle and continued to smell a burning smell. Beginning to get worried as I had a trip approaching I contacted Midas and was informed that no mechanic was available to inspect the vehicle and advised not to drive the car. I then took the vehicle to Suburban Ford of Troy in which a formal inspection revealed that the right rear caliper piston had seized, causing the brake pad to be completely destroyed and the rotor ruined, hence causing the burning smell. The dealership technician shared this is as "extremely dangerous," noting that the tire could have caught fire or exploded. I was forced to pay an additional $602.94 out of pocket to Suburban Ford to repair the damage caused by the failed Midas part. Since said time I have attempted to resolve the matter with Midas for 90 days and have been ignored and provided excuses with no resolve which is very disheartening. Please do your research with this business. At best they are good at oil changes and rotating tires and pleasant front location staff. That is all!!!

It is also important that businesses in our communities are held accountable when their practices may take advantage of people. including men, minorities, and consumers who may already be financially vulnerable. Deceptive or exploitative practices can cause serious hardship, and addressing them helps protect other members of the community from similar harm. DO NOT BUY HERE! My livelihood is at Jeopardy due to thi situation. I purchased a 2020 Buick Enclave from King Auto Sales in Detroit on September 4, 2026. I was told the vehicle had been checked and that nothing was wrong with it. Approximately 10 days after purchasing and financing the vehicle, the check-engine light came on and I was informed that the catalytic converter is bad. I immediately contacted the dealership expecting them to stand behind a vehicle they had just sold me. They refused to take responsibility or help resolve the problem. My concern isn't simply that a used vehicle developed a problem. My concern is that I financed a vehicle believing it had been inspected and was in good condition, only to discover a significant issue almost immediately after the sale. I am now documenting the vehicle's condition, obtaining an independent written diagnosis, and pursuing the appropriate consumer complaint process. DONT considering buying here, protect yourself. Do not rely solely on verbal assurances or a vehicle-history report which is created by them. Them refusing to let me Take the vehicle to an independent mechanic of my chose should have been my answer to not buy here. before signing anything, have the computer scanned, ask for the emissions-readiness monitors to be checked, and get every representation about the vehicle's condition in writing. A dealership's customer service shouldn't end when the paperwork is signed. How a business responds when something goes wrong tells you just as much as the sale itself. They also refused to give you copies of contracts! I also want women considering doing business here to be aware of my personal experience. During my interactions, I experienced comments and behavior from the salesperson/dealer that I considered sexually inappropriate, unprofessional, and disrespectful toward me as a woman. I came there to conduct a business transaction and purchase a vehicle--not to be made uncomfortable by sexual comments or behavior. Between that experience and the dealership's refusal to assist me after a significant vehicle problem appeared approximately 10 days after my purchase, I am extremely disappointed with how this transaction was handled. Women especially: trust your instincts, keep your interactions professional and documented, and don't be afraid to leave if you're made uncomfortable. I am sharing my personal experience so other consumers can make an informed decision. I will update this review if the dealership takes meaningful steps to address these concerns.
