I agree with Michelle on this one. There is one older lady on register 10 with salt and pepper hair I always have a problem with. I complained awhile ago to management but now I go to a different checkout. The aisles are small store is crowded dirty and virtually every tile in the ceiling has cameras. Theft is still a problem here but maybe securtiy is sleeping. I saw once a Security stop and go in someone's car and take a laptop. The car was unlocked. I do believe that this particular location employees only the slowest, inarticulate and generally rude cashiers. Just because you hate your job, please don't take it out on me. This store just underwent a bunch of construction, I guess in order to make it more "customer friendly", but it seems to just add to the state of confusion this store usually is. By far...The worst...dirtiest...ugliest....teribly stocked store (not just walmart) I have EVER walked into. I live not even a mile from this store and refuse to shop there even though it is so close. The staff is terrible! They never know where anything is!! I went there a few weeks back to grab 1 thing....Chili sauce. I couldn't find soo I asked a girl where it is. I had to discribe what it was, she then said ok let me look.....15 minutes later, she came back with another associate who asked me what I was looking for. I said Chili sauce, comes in a glass bottle made by Heinz. They were never able to find it for me, or even tell me if they carry it and I said forget it and left. I have worked in retail for about 7 years now....I understand it is a Large store with a large amount of people in and out every day but the shelves are never stocked and when they are you would think that someone literally THREW everything on the shelf. If I can provide less than 1 star, I would. There is a manager by the name of "Ms. Diane" who needs someone serious training on how to deal with customers. To make a small story short, there were several items missed priced during my 2 hour visit. After my total being several hundred dollars, when I address the issue of the pricing on several items ringing up incorrect, she would not honor the price. It would be different if this was 1 item, or if it was something I did as a customer wrong but it wasn't. It was very clear, the price on display in 3 different sections of the store showed a price different than what was ringing up. She even stated that she knew about these issues and neglected to fix them. The discount "Ms. Diane" would have given me was about $14 total but both her and her boss Marla thought it was too much to honor for me. So instead they would rather me not purchase hundreds of dollars of products, waist 2 hours of my time shopping, provide me with inconsistent information, and be a very upset customer. I would NEVER treat a customer the way I was treated, especially if I am clearly in the right. There were several mistakes done by employees and in addition I was spending a lot of money. I was at the location 2 hours prior of them closing and "Ms. Diane" only concern was to get the customer out of the store by 12. - Be very careful on pricing - Don't expect anything from the management team - Your loyalty as a customer that spends thousands of dollars has 0 value - This location is ran so poorly that I would go out of my way and visit another location in a heart beat read more

I like to shop here because it's conveniently located down the street from my house. This store marks their clearance items below the real price. When I went to the checkout to pay they made a big deal about how it wasn't supposed to be that price. It's happened multiple times to me. Managers need to know where their products are for their department. They spent 20 minutes looking for the product, even when I told them exactly where it was. I live 5 min away from this Walmart but I'd rather travel to the one in Hodgkins. The employees here have no clue what good customer service is about. Every time I've asked for help, they make me regret asking. I also found it strange that an employee has to be called to open a cabinet for a $5 makeup product. It's such a hassle to go up to an employee and then they have to page someone, and if you want that product, you have to go to a certain register to pick it up. read more

I always shop at Bridgeview because it's closer to our house. I don't usually shop on weekends but we are going for a trip soon. So I stop by to get the stuff that we need for traveling. I purchased several TSA approved toiletries and stuff and check out in the express lane. There were only 3 open counters including the express counter. An older lady in the express counter was so grumpy and asked me if I have 18-20 less items in my cart. I said " these are only small times, and pls open more check out counters on the weekend because there are more shoppers. Please get staff that is more eager to work and courteous enough specially during busy days and hours. read more

I downloaded yelp only for this review , for the third time I have been disrespected in the subway inside of the walmart . They act like they care nothing about the customer . The employees were rude to me because I walked in where he just moped ...? Though this store is now (finally) being updated... I still dont like it. Still feel its the worst walmart i ever been to! The woman store manager here is incompetent. I had to deal with her with the walmart pickup service & she had no idea what she was doing nor did she end up giving accurate information. And other times i see her just walking around. I went with my kids looking for a bike for my 4 year old son and I asked Margaret if she can take this certain bike down from the rack. She said it might be to little for your son, let me check the back to see if there's a bigger bike that suits him, so she came out with this really cool bike and my son loved it. I was more excited then my son seeing his face glow, especially it being his first bike. I'm glad I didn't buy the bike that I was gonna originally purchase.I usually don't write reviews but while I was walking away I had to walk back to see her name tag so I can take the initiative to write this review to thank her for taking the time and going out her way just to help my son find the right bike. Spent $450.00 at the Wal Mart Optical Shop, but the eye exam was inaccurate. Luckily I caught it when they gave me a contact lens, the correction was off by 2 diopters. (Pretty significant error). Otherwise they would have made the glasses wrong too. Girl said "Well, contacts are sometimes off, but the glasses will be fine. When I said "I'd hate for you to have to make the glasses all over again" she paused, and sent me back to the optician. He corrected his earlier work. They were quite nice and pleasant, but sometimes you DON'T get what you pay for! (update a week later) Picked up 2 pr. glasses and contacts, prescription on the sunglasses right lens is off. (perhaps they used the 1st, inaccurate prescription) Again, nice as they can be, other glasses and contacts are OK, but it will take 5 trips to Walmart by the time I'm done. read more

She helped me find what I needed when it was super busy and when i asked another associate to help they told me they didn't know. When I seen Melissa she showed me where exactly it was and was helpful when I asked about the product. I would never shop at this store again. Not only do most of the clerks in the checkout have the personality of a dead person but I went there the other day to try to see if they have gotten any better and I needed to quickly fill a prescription for my grandmother and when the pharmacy takes lunch they close down the entire pharmacy. My Dissatisfaction with the management staff: Tina and other manager who I did not get a nam, due to no name tag. After being rung up, I perceived to pay with my gift card on my phone. The associate scan my phone and then said; it's not working. He then went and got his manager: Tina who came to explain that Walmarts no longer except scan or paper gift cards. This policy has been in place for over five months. I then ask her to show me where this is written because I was just in here-and I used $20 off my $100 gift card and I use my phone within the last two week. She explained that she will go and get the policy only to come back with about three employees opinions and I was never showed the policy. She then said; it's only online. I was also told that I needed to download the Walmart app and that's the only way they can except my gift cards. I am requesting a return phone call from the manager or the district manager? The attitude of the staffMembers are totally unacceptable especially, when no one knows where the policy years and everyone feels as though they are opinion matters. Also, how could you have some of your staff that knows the policy and the others have no clue. Another manager African-American lady, with blonde and black hair: went on to tell them that if they did except the gift card through the phone it's going to mess up her inventory. September 30. My son and I are going to a Cub Scout camp out. I bought 2 air mattresses for my son and a bag wiffleball's. So after I get to my location where were camping. I checked my receipt to see that Walmart overcharge me for one extra air mattress and one extra bag of wiffleball's. So I went back there I had to wait till they checked video. Found out they were in the wrong said sorry sir and gave you my money. I said how many people you think you do this to that don't come here and complain. Unbelievable. read more

I also, was appalled when they closed the entire pharmacy for lunch, not just having one person at a time leave. Often there are 4-5 people in the department and only one MAY saunter up to the counter and wait on you. Even when you call your prescription in a day ahead, expect to stand in line 20-30 minutes. read more

Tonight I went to Walmart in Bridgeview to buy my 5 year old daughter a replacement tablet because she had broken the one from Christmas. Nick in Electronics was great and helped in an efficient manner. When I got it home we had discovered that it had been used having something spilled on it. Also the protective wrap was torn and the back of the tablet was severely scuffed. I tried to call the store right away but there was no answer for about 5 minutes straight. I immediately returned to the store going to the return center. The girl working the desk did not give a proper greeting and was very rude from the start. I explained the situation and she immediately treated me as if I was trying to commit a crime. She said that it was not Walmart policy to put used equipment back on the shelf implying that I was laying in regard to how the tablet got to this point. She instructed me to head back to the electronics department to figure it out. Nick was a great help and recognized the situation. Upon returning back the girl was still providing customer in a cold manner. It was returned but with comments again that Walmart doesn't put used tablets on their shelves when clearly they did. I was not offered an apology for the store's mistake or the inconvenience that I incurred. I am an area manager in retail as well and understand that you are trying to control your P&L through loss prevention but a trained employee could tell that this was a store mistake by cross checking the serial number of the product with the number. Also with the surveillance cameras that are in the electronics area they could have easily zoomed in on the box in question and see that it was not sealed from the start like the one that I just acquired. Walmart definitely failed in the customer service department but exceeded in making what was a loyal customer feel like a criminal. read more

I was there for Black Friday. This was my WORST experience ever. (1) The manager Bob was RUDE and took away the creats they gave us to sit down with. (2) I was in line to get the 50" TV, which they had us waiting in the wrong place. (3) When it was finally time to get the TV, alot of people rushed over to line up, which was not right!!! I am only giving two stars because the cashier was very kind towards me in the gardening section. I went to this location a few days ago and did not come home with all that I needed. It is poorly stocked and now they are remodeling. They cut out products that they used to have just for the remodel. I asked the manager where the spot carpet cleaner is and she looked flustered. She showed me where carpet cleaner (for the machines) were and left. So no spot cleaner for my house that day.If you are going to remodel then please have a floor plan in tact. Also,I looked for my prenatal vitamins and they are poorly located and out of stock. What pregnant woman is going to want to look all over then find out that she has to bend down and find out that her vitamin is out of stock? The Polish women who worked in that section acted like they didn't know what to do or what I was talking about. By then my brain cells wanted to jump off a bridge so I left. read more
