So I don't really understand why you have a curbside pickup, but told me to come into the store

I am writing this because of the horrible customer service I received from of all people the STORE MANAGER! Kim Turner. She is incredibly RUDE! I simply called to ask if they were selling a certain controversial product and she gave me the third degree telling me I need to stop listening to "rumors reports on facebook" Lol I'm not active on fb for one thing and as it turns out , it wasn't a rumor. It was true! They have since pulled the item. Kim Turner has no class, she was spewing attitude at me and my gf heard every word because it was on speaker phone. My gf was in shock the way she was treating me. Then I asked her what her name was and she said "I don't have to tell you my name" say what? Well Kim Turner I found out your name and now I'm letting Yelp know. You are RUDE and disrespectful to your customers I even called 1 800 Walmart to complain and your District Manager will be in contact. And to think it's Christmas time. I can cash a check and transfer money around the world but after completing a transaction asking for change for a dollar 4 quarters. I was told they could not help maybe at customer service go up there all the signs for check cashing and money transfers and they even have a machine there for taking people's change for a percentage but they can't break a dollar. read more

Typical Walmart; low prices on a lot of things although some things are cheaper at Target. You just have to comparison-shop! A lot of Riff Raff walking around in the store. I am currently wearing a cast on my leg and they do not have enough riding carts for people with disabilities. But, in comparison between 3 Veterinary medicine pharmacies, prescription medication for my cat is much cheaper here, as recommended by my veterinarian! Pharmacy experience, not general store review Tried dropping of a prescription for the first time today. I explained how Caremark Rx works as our prescription info is on the back of our Aetna coverage card. I told them that they could call CVS or Walgreens if they needed help figuring it out. Was told to come back in 15-20 mins. Not a problem as I needed a few things. Came back to be told that I simply had to have a different card, that this wasn't a prescription coverage card and they'd have to call an 800 number on the back which didnt make sense to him and if I could bring in the "actual" prescription card (mind you he was holding it) then he could do it. I said this is the card, there are no others unless he needed our dental coverage. He said I would probably get a "real" card in the mail and that even if I gave him a social security number (I offered) they aren't set up to do prescriptions that way. I felt bad holding up the line with a legitimate prescription card while being treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. I left for CVS and low and behold the card worked fine there just like it does at every other pharmacy in town. No, I do not look or dress like a "Person of Walmart", I do have a college degree, but I was made to feel like I was functioning at a third grade level. I was polite, even mentioning his ear gages looking different than most. I was hoping to save some money in this economy with all of the increased rates we have saddled with because of the new laws, but I will not be trying to get a prescription ever filled there again. This could very well be a lack of training and not necessarily his fault at all, but I felt that I had offered many options to help him do his job, even offering to call the HR department at my husband's job and let him speak with them personally on my phone. I feel horrible leaving a bad review on Yelp, but if you have Caremark Rx on your Aetna card you might want to save 40 minutes of your life debating the legitimacy of your insurance card's prescription coverage. the delivery service is a joke. The app doesn't work right. The workers cough and sneeze on customer product and then wont take it back so needless to say that not all the employees wear masks. They have no respect for customers. NO HELP FOR THE DISABLED. nobody from management to cashier are all ignorant to store workings and policy. Sadly I've had to tell the cashiers how to enter different forms of payment for 1 customer order. None of the cashiers even know what a 3function is on their registers which tells how many customers they scanned through, voids, cash total for your till at that time, total in food stamps and cash aid and checks. That was a POLICY the cashiers were used to. That store ran great. 3funtions were done randomly so internal theft wouldn't happen and if it did then they know exactly who it was. We all had our own till that we would check out so no one could mess with anyone else till. All this made things so much better for the accounting employees. Try calling other stores to check their polices or open one of those big blue policy manuals or the big white folders that tell you everything you need to know when it comes to how walmart works. Like detouring people from join a union. Hmmm i wonder why? Handing new hires the welfare to work paper and telling them to apply for cash aid and food stamps cause they wont make enough working just walmart. Walmart never let anyone work full time cause t avoids medical coverage and they hire and fire every 3-5 months and hire new people so they can start their pay at a lower rate. read more

I am really upset at Walmart. I bought clothes there several months ago . I was never told when I bought these blouses I couldn't return them until the economy opens up. There's almost 100.00 worth tried on once they don't fit. I have stage 4 cancer and need that money. Most other states and stores are accepting returns. This is ridiculous. I will definitely not buy clothes there again. Why would Walmart think clothes that have never been worn and in a bag folded up for months have Covid 19 on them. This is beyond ridiculous. read more

Well, I'm typically a little "anti-Walmart" & prefer to shop at locally owned businesses. But the summer heat lured me in & I bought an Intex above ground pool from Walmart. One of the parts was broken, so we called Intex to send us a replacement. They were back ordered though, and it would be a week before the part arrived. In the meantime, my pool was turning green because we couldn't run the pump. So in a last ditch effort, I called Walmart to see if they would give me the part from another of their unsold pools. I talked to a couple of employees without much hope, but the guy who worked in the pool department suggested that I talk to Mike in management. So I called back & asked for him. Mike was amazing! He said he'd be happy to give me the part from one of the other pools if we could find the right one. I told him I'd be right down & he said he'd be there til 6. When I showed up, someone paged him for me & after a short wait at the front of the store, Mike (co-Manager) & Ryan (assistant manager I believe) showed up & took us outside to see if they could find a replacement part. They didn't have the same size pool in stock, but they took a gamble & opened another size. They had to basically pull everything out of the box in order to find the small part that I needed. But they were successful & didn't complain. I was shocked at the level of service I received. Mike had a tag on that said he'd been there 25 years. He reminded me of the kind of local business owners I've met here in Chico that truly care about every last aspect of their business. read more

Hey, It's Walmart. When I shop here I find the best times are early morning or late night just before closing. You miss most of the riff raff and you can navigate the aisles easily and quickly. i just want to call out that walmart employees have made it more than noticeable when i go and shop there that they feel the need need to profile people by their appearance by making sure a paying customer feels uncomfortable. i understand that holidays make everyone more tense and feel the need to be on the lookout for theft but, i think that following customers around the store and staring while you shop is a bit too much. also, when it came down to check out time the worker there was told to take a break and stand outside to keep a close eye while that person stared at me check all my stuff out, and also made a comment about me and told 2 other workers there to make sure they kept there eyes open like as if they were waiting for something to happen. this has happened mulitple times at first i just thought it was only me but even when i have gone with a friend or with my son they have also noticed it as well and my son is only 4 years old and hes have even pointed it out to me!!! i work in customer service and i dont treat any of my guest that way!!!! read more

Out of the many Walmarts that I have been to, this one is the worst Walmart I've been to. I recently moved here to go to school, and when I went on a shopping haul from moving and all, I could not find most things I needed. And if they sold the item there they had very limited quantities and the shelfs were mostly empty. I really had a bad time shopping at this Walmart, I decided to go to Target which is right next door, seriously. For a few dollars extra on my receipt, I was happy that I chose to shop at Target, and rarely make the stop to Walmart. It's not worth the drive and walk. Grrrrr!!! read more

I'm highly confused why you let customers have their none service dogs enter your store. My mom and I were shopping today. This middle aged lady who has here little dog with her and it peed on the floor, she saw it and didn't even pick up after herself. Your staff needs to enforce this issues ASAP especially when you sell food products. Your allowing these customers who have pets into your place of business and ruin it for actual service dogs. It's getting out of hand and it's disgusting when untrained animals are being let into your store. read more

Truthfully, i've had a couple bad experiences here but it's NEVER with the general employee, it's always with someone who has some sort of "authority". Whether it's the pharmacists and/or pharmacy techs (not the cashiers!) that are rude, to upper management who cannot be bothered and send minions with no power to do their bidding. i'd rather pay $.04 extra on my items than deal with this company. read more

Great location easy to get in and out of. I love that they have a food section now although it's pretty limited. You can find a little bit of everything here. Their pharmacy is really cheap too! When you drop your prescription off they send you a text when it's ready to be picked up. read more

The best Walmart I have ever encountered. Open 24 hours a day, never crowded, friendly customers and employees. How they keep so cheerful, I don't know. I am always pleased to visit my Chico Walmart! The store is always fully stocked, when it is crowded, the crowds are not as roudy as the ones in the Bay Area. Go after 7:00pm for a peaceful shopping experience. They always have what I want, when I need it, and always at the right price. Never have to worry about not finding something here. Almost all products you can return within 90 days, and even after that they'll give you store credit. For all the shit that Walmart gets, the Chico one is the only one where I am happy to be a Walmart shopper! read more

It says that they are open until 12 AM I just called at 10:45 to see if they have the stupid Kurig filter's in their store no one is answering the freaking in all departments why advertise that you're open until 12 AM if you're not gonna answer the freaking phone is so stupid. Are you still work at the store in the management in 20 years has always sucked. In the worst customers I've ever had in 15 years of working retail the most rudest customers and they always pitch a fit and I've seen managers literally giveaways the item because they just don't want to hear the customer anymore. The Chico walmart still can't figure out how to accept returns during Covid, not only that but they are adding items to their restricted returns list without informing the public online or in store. I purchased a baby walker and right out of the box the plastic covering over the wheel was cracked. It's completely unsafe to use. There was no notice in the infant department that customers would not be allowed to return infant hardline items. read more

Everyone loves to hate Wal-mart. The clientele of Wal-Mart is the biggest turn off here. I try to get my shopping done early in the day before the circus starts arriving to do their shopping. Simple Advice For Shopping At This Wal-mart: 1 Shop early, mostly senior citizens and other mom's are the ones doing their shopping around 9am 2 Try to smile once in a while, the employees are just as miserable as you are, more so since they are working there 3 I have never had a bad experience with the pharmacy crew since I say "please and thank you" and try to be understanding. If your insurance coverage is some weird third party company you picked up out of a mailer, most likely it will take a while to see if you are even covered. If you walk in pissed off and ready to complain then you will most likely have a bad experience. Most of the cashiers are nice but some are just plain outta of the hills but hey they are at least working. It's Wal-mart, you shop there for the prices, not the ambiance. I use coupons when I can, I don't fault the cashiers for having to be militant about expiration dates and which item it can be used for. That's the corporate office making them do it. read more

Jeanine in photo was the most helpful and friendly person I have ever had the pleasure to deal with at Walmart. She herself gets 10 stars! She was nice, understanding, and interested in what I was doing so to better help me with my purchase. She really made my day and was on top of her game. She really is a prime example of what customer service should be like. I'm not a demanding customer, but sometimes I need someone to actually hear what I need. The store is usually tidy and it's easy to maneuver through the isles. The bathrooms left something to be desired. The one at the back of the store is better but needs help. read more

I try to stay away from wal mart stores. Unpleasant customers and employees all in one place. Yay! But really Customer service usually isn't that great in all seriousness. Last time I went, I went to the self checkout. Needed help with some code and attempted to get the attention of the lady standing literally next to me. This has been confirmed with a store manager who stated that they are aware of what the laws require but the store policy is you need a Real ID or bring your birth cert EVERY TIME, or you dont get ammo. read more

Worst Walmart ever. The employees are very rude and unprofessional. My husband was buying glue and one employee insisted on seeing my ID (which I did not have). Even though my husband had his ID she would not allow him to buy the glue. I was not making the purchase nor planned on using the glue. It was a very frustrating experience. I mean what if a mother is buying glue and her children are there! Good prices. Terrible customer service. I had a cashier openly judge my purchase. All I was buying were scarves and crafting supplies. He asked me why I needed this "stuff". I told him that I was buying crafts for my sorority. He disapprovingly asked, "What's the point of a sorority?" I explained that It was my personal choice and starting listing the benefits; networking, friends, fun experiences, community service...etc. He smugly interrupted me while grabbing his name tag that said veteran and responded, "I got all of that from the military. I can go out and do community service by myself, I don't need a sorority to gain all of those benefits." He was rude and condescending to my friends and I by insulting our organization. I wasn't rude to this cashier. He continued to talk down to me for being in a sorority while there was a line of 20 people impatiently waiting behind me. This Walmart is the exception to 'Walmart rule of rudeness' in my book. Since moving to Chico almost a year ago, my experiences at this location have been wonderful. I so appreciate the great service I receive when I go. Yes, there have been a few instances of having to wait in the return line for a bit, but they have been outweighed by the friendly face of the cashier once at the front of the line. Also by the expedient, awesome service of the automotive dept with a battery purchase/change at 20 mins to closing. These days, you're lucky to get a smile at a check out, let alone any kind of memorable assistance! Way to go, Walmart! read more

I'm writing for the auto center. HORRIBLE!!! I waited forever for an oil change and the people around me who were waiting for their cars had been waiting forever too. You should not have to wait 1.5-2 hours for a simple oil change or battery change...ever! The men working seemed to be standing around chatting and drinking water then going over and filling the water up again. It's hot out, I get it but they were all taking breaks at the same time when cars were just sitting there. I had no apologies from staff and nobody warned me it would take so long. The worst part is, I could have gone somewhere faster and paid around the same price. read more
