I went in to the money center yesterday to pay a bill. I get a notification that my payment went through with the wrong amount. However my receipt has the correct amount. I called just twice the first time I get hung up on because the employee didnt know how to place me on hold then I called back and. Finally spoke to a manager and her response was WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO. I said I have the receipt number u can look it up. She says I cant do that and that I have to go back to the money center. After waiting almost an hour in the money center to pay my bill there's an error and the management wont even look it up. Im beyond irritated read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MY LIFE! I went online to place an order for in store pick up of a futon. I added the item to my cart but did not check out, because I need to click over to an app really quick to rent a van to pick it up. I went back to the site about 10 minutes later, and it said that the item was no longer available. I called the store and was transferred to customer service, where I spoke to a young woman who told me that that meant that the item had sold since I added it to my cart. I explained to her that I had switched devices and wondered if there was maybe a glitch and it registered that the item was out of stock because it was stuck in my cart. She just said, "There's nothing I can do." I said, "Well, can you check to see if the item is there so I can come just buy it in store?" She told me that she already did. The problem is, I hadn't even told her what the item was. I asked to speak to a manager, and she said, "FINE." and transferred to me a line that no one answered, until I was rerouted back to her. She then told me that there was no manager. I told her that I did not believe that there was no manager to be found in a whole Wal-Mart supercenter. I asked for her name, and she immediately hung up on me. I called back several times, and she told me that they are not allowed to give even their first names over the phone. I cannot believe that this would be true. How would you ever hold employees accountable?? She hung up on me several times, and refused to transfer me to a manager, look for the item, or tell me her name. Eventually, they just started picking up the phone and hanging up without even greeting me. I accidentally called the number (attempting to call a different store to see if THEY had it) about 20 minutes later and spoke to a nice man who said that he would have a manager call me back with my concerns. I sincerely hope that this happens. I am out of money on a rental van and have just had the most miserable customer service experience ever. I am NEVER shopping at this Wal-Mart again!!! read more

Like that it's a superstore . It's just what we needed . We usually would go to the southgate Walmart or the Carson one. Now we don't have to drive so far and even better it's right in front of were we do laundry so we get snacks while we wait. It's clean and huge. Ghetto people but that's not really the stores fault besides choosing the location. The cashiers and nice however some of them I've heard complain when all I saw the woman doing was marking receipts at the exit. This is my go to store despite some racial comments at times even with my kids. There's no other store that has everything like Walmart and I like to save gas were I can so I come here. They have a redbox here pretty awesome. Our new place to rent DVDs also .weve been coming here since it opened . We've been living in Compton for 2 years. read more

Waiting 20 minutes for someone to come unlock a 30sd card? Do yourself a favor and go to Best Buy. This place is a complete waste of time. Feel sorry for the employees. I waited to get a headlight bulb that's locked in a glass shelf. Took 30 minutes the PA system called for worker 5 times. Told the manager in yellow and she seemed bother that I told her about the situation. I was so annoyed that I wasted so much time. They could care less. read more

Precious has great customer service skills. She was friendly, attentive and represents Wal-Mart corporation well. read more

This has to be the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I couldn't have an associate to help me for 10mins & when I did the 2 associates were talking to each other on the phone and wasn't helpful at all. Everything is locked behind glass, then when I did get what I needed it was put in a larger plastic container that I was forced to carry around the store. I didn't have a basket because I only came for a few things but I had to find one because the container was so big that I had no more room to hold other things that I needed. Then I paid with my debit card and I told the cashier I wanted bags, so I assumed I would get my bag I asked for then she give me my receipts and when I asked for my bags she said she didn't charge me. At this point I was irritated cause I had no cash or change on me , then the cashier said I didn't ask for none. The customer behind me told the cashier that she heard me say I wanted bags I was over the horrible service and rudeness, the customer ended up paying for my bags so I would not have to use my card for 20 cents. Everybody knows that a store is just a store no matter where you go. The difference is in the personnel inside the store. A review should not have anything to do with a person playing loud music outside or homeless people asking for money. First of all, take into consideration the area you are in. My review is for the store in Compton. It's the closest to my house so here we go. I get to the store and I can complain that there's no parking- but I won't because this store's parking lot is huge! There's no parking spaces because there's a lot of shoppers! It's Saturday morning and the store's already busy. I get in, I'm greeted by friendly employees and my start is already good. I get my shopping cart and start to walk the store. The store is clean and well kept. I see employees everywhere, working, helping customers, stocking shelves and cleaning up. I gather what I am buying, get in line and wait to be rung up. The wait is expected to be long since there's like 10 shoppers ahead of me, but like I said, the store was packed with shoppers. My cashier was Angelica that morning. Not sure what happened but this girl was amazing!! She rung up the customer's fast! When it was my turn, she asked if I needed bags and I said yes. She scanned my items and I thought I was walking out of there with a ton of bags, but no- she bagged everything so neatly into 4 bags! She was very polite and very helpful. I am writing to tell you about the embarrassment and humiliation I suffered this morning exiting you store located at 2100 N. Long Beach Blvd. Compton, Ca. I reside in the city of Compton but, I normally go the Walmart located at 2770 E. Carson St. Lakewood, Ca, or occasionally to the store located at 12701 Towne Center Dr. Cerritos, Ca. This morning I just needed to purchase a few items. The first thing I noticed was that in the hair care section there was a special section labeled "Ethnic hair care" that contained hair care products used predominantly by Blacks, that was separate and apart from the rest of the hair care products. I was exiting the store after I had made my purchase, when I was stopped by an employee who asked to see my receipt. I told him it was in the bottom of the bag. I tried to exit and he blocked my path, while at the same time one of the two armed security guards standing close by walked over and told me it was store policy for everyone to show there receipt prior to exiting the store. I have been to other Walmart stores countless times, and have never been asked to show my receipt or seen armed security guards monitoring the exit. I don't know if it was me personally or the location of the store, but at any rate I felt that my treatment was discriminatory and racially biased. I saw no reason for me to be forced to show my receipt upon exiting the store. I hope this is not a policy only for this store, created due it geographical location. read more

I was soooooo disappointed today! I usually go you this Walmart because the team members are ao nice, helpful, and happy. Today, 95% of them were unhappy, not helpful at all and I was directed to customer service while I was there there was only one person helping a long line and a customer came to the member that was helping me to complain about other team members just standing and having a conversation...... she walked away without helping me and never came back to assist me. I ended up leaving my item that in reality all I wanted was exchange because back was open...... I told the cashier at the self check out to keep it I didn't care about the 2 dollars.... and that I was very disappointed in their service. The only lady that was nice was one at the jewelry department. She actually looked up and said good morning. I hope all this is only because the Christmas caos. I'll stick to my oc location until after Christmas..... hopefully it gets back to what it was before. read more
