Walking into this Walmart for a few toiletry items was very disturbing. All of their deodorants have been locked up behind glass. After pressing the button for further assistance, I was informed that I could not carry said item and that it would be waiting for me at register 22. Thinking that customer service was amazing that the clerk was going to take all my items to register 22 wasn't my reality. Not only did I have to carry my other items, I had to have someone walk up an $8 item because I may appear to be a con artist. It's insulting and defaming an up and coming community. The person representing herself as the Customer Service Manager either has not been taught, trained or fail to simply understand the nature of her role as Customer Service Manager. Her name is Victoria and she was the manager on duty at 7pm. She is extremely rude, dismissive to customers, talks over customers and follows it up with chastising the employee who actually tried to help. Not saying she should be fired, but she either needs to be reprimanded, demoted, or required to participate in a Customer Service focused training class. **GOT Threaten by cashier (AIRON) and refused to give me my bags** Me and my fiancé We're checking out through self check out I encounter a problem trying to check out a bag of buns I askedfor help thats when CASHIER (AIRON) Told my fiancé that he had to call a manager and put the buns in the system I thought to myself how ridiculous that sounded. Since I shot 2 to 3 times a week at this Walmart I think I have a pretty good understanding of this so check out process I then did product look up and I was able to and put the buns in the system that's when I thought to myself how lazy this cashier was that he didnt want to take time to help us out. If Im in the area I'll stop by, but I never go out of my way to come to this particular store. Its a lot smaller than other Walmarts in the area such as Torrance or the South Gate one, the variety of products is also less because of the smaller location. Oh There is plenty of parking the parking lots is pretty big, but what I dislike the most is the entrance and exit area is so small, it has to be some kind of safety issue imo. Lastly, you can't purchase beauty related items with out an employee putting them in a security box if you want to continue shopping. I had an issue there last night. I called the store prior to going looking for a particular Monopoly game. I was told "sure we have plenty" of that certain game. Once I arrived 15 minutes later I looked for it and couldn't find it. I then asked the young lady in the toy department, the toy associate, and she indicated that they were all gone after showing us a second location where they were. I asked her if she could call a manager because I had just called. She was very hesitant to do so and just was shaking her head no. With my determination she said that she'll check a back room. She was gone for over 10 minutes as we waited. In the meantime another associate passed and asked did we need help, we explained and she said I think we do have some let me also check. Okay another 10 minutes and the first one came back and said no. And told the second associate that she didn't need to check no longer because she had already checked. As we were leaving I seen an Assistant Manager Lucy and explained about my call and what had just happened ( now about 35 minutes later) and she said let me check, I told her that two associates had said that but she said, "no I'll check." ( while I was talking to Lucy another lady just jumped in with an issue, Lucy politely told her that she was helping me but the lady continued to talk, she politely again told her just a minute until she's done with me) Very professional and courteous. Well to our surprise Lucy came out with several cases of the game! Thank you Lucy for knowing your store, merchandise & inventory and for going that EXTRA mile! Your associates can be more advised on how to handle a situation like this without just saying no. I think they could have looked more into why I was told that there were plenty from the start.
