Literally doing a happy dance. This was in summer 2024 when a judge gave the jury bogus instructions. This ruling was later overturned by a higher court. But, back to the moment in time at that checkout stand. My husband was appalled that she would bring politics into her workplace. We figured the folks here were of a different political persuasion than we were, but no big deal, we get along with all types, right? But she took it over the top and just totally disregarded the fact her customers come in all types, including conservative in a rather conservative area. We haven't been back, because we just found her behavior so unprofessional. Would rate 5 stars for products and horticultural knowledge. They even give free classes! Guess not yet, perhaps never. Gal answering the phone was extremely condescending. All I asked was to fix their "Clearance" price on-line if she is unable to honor it. She did neither. There are few other stores, not many if you prefer to actually grab your items not from Bezos-Mart, but they are still there. Being polite is not expensive. Showing empathy in customer service environment used to be considered a virtue unless you are affiliated with Verizon. Oh well...tis what it is. Appliance quality also went down. Fridge from 2015 served almost 10 years before needing minor repair, the one from 2025 barely lasted 6 months and although it got fixed under warranty it took almost 3 weeks, few days for initial show up and to diagnose, then time to order the part and then come back to install plus 2 fool fridges of wasted/thrown away food in less than a year. Over the years I have had to return three things. All three were nightmares to return with hassle, "come back tomorrow when a different manager is here," system isn't working right now come back later, excuses, call this number, etc. I gave up 2 of the 3 times and it has costed me hundreds of dollars for defective items. Corporate customer service, when called, apologizes but doesn't step in with options or assistance. Of note, all returns were within their return window and within their return policy. They just chose to abandon their customer for the service part of the equation.
