HOWEVER, let it be known...I'm not sure I have ever been in a more bizarrely unwelcoming and aggressively hostile shop. I have traveled all over the world...and certainly all over Michigan...and no shop has ever had more security cameras, rules posted, and snarky, rude negative employees. It is so off-putting I do my best to avoid it. For a tourist village, this shop is actively making it known they don't care about welcoming customers and they are clearly maniacally paranoid. Enter at your own risk. Are the candles pleasant? Yes. But it's not worth the experience you are forced to go through to make a purchase.

She startled and scared and creeped me out that I took 2 steps in and walked right out. She was scolding me for taking a photo. She was so not welcoming to fellow yelpers, reviewers, potential free marketing or potential curious customers. She lost business from my husband and I with her curt, raucous and rude manners. After such an traumatic experience with this place, I shutter to say it, but I hope it shuts down this year or sooner, especially with such a rude person on their staff. She was the most shamelessly awful employee I have ever come across in all of my 888 establishments I have visited through Yelp so far. If 0 stars was allowed, I would have given it to them and I don't say that, ever. She was well deserving of -5 if possible. Good riddance to this mean staff member, she will for certain drive away customers by the droves. This woman left such a bad impression that I wanted to leave this village and get as far away as possible from this obviously insecure lady, had nothing but bad vibes from this toxic inhuman source.

Meyer is based up here in Michigan, so this one is a fantastic representative of the chain. Prices are pretty good, and there were tons of workers around to help out when we had a question. So many options. And everybody was very friendly, including the person at the checkout that had to help us with a product, she had a smile on her face and took care of us quickly and was very nice. Not a whole lot of larger options in town for groceries a few, but if you really need the full experience, this has everything you could want.
