The inventory here doesn't reflect the supply chain woes plugged by the media, maybe this business model that should be analyzed and duplicated. I'm sure everything stocked here is not made domestically but a lot of it does seem to follow the "buy American" theme. The staff here was friendly and helpful and customers filled most of the aisles during my visit - I was asked immediately upon entering the store if I needed assistance, after stating I did I was personally guided to the exact location I was looking for. After finding the right solution I needed I decided to do a walk through and check out all the other unique items on display before cashing out. I'm not sure what the deal is. Most employees are hanging around with RBF ready to look inconvenienced by the presence of customers. They like to give the impression of helpfulness shrouded in resentment and seemingly fatigue. I just got back from purchasing some tape which they insisted that someone help me with and then they sold me the wrong tape, which I then had to return to the store to return and buy the right tape. No, " I apologize for the inconvenience" or "sorry about that" Literally nothing. The dude that just "helped" me is just hanging back watching me return his selection about to cough up a lung. i'm starting to really believe that I'm being loyal to a fault, trying to give a small business some support, but honestly, I'd rather drive to another location or another business. I have been a tenant of this facility for about 2 years so I can give an accurate observation of…read morerenting a storage unit at this Extra Space Storage location. There have been some personnel changes recently and in my opinion, it is an improvement. Billy, the new site manager is an added asset to this facility. He is very pleasant to communicate with and extremely helpful in handling any needs pertaining to my account and does so in a timely manner. He is also excellent in understanding how to find a solution to make my rental experience much easier and stress free. The facility is clean and secure and has ample space for parking and access to the entry doors. The only issue I have at all is the fact that the interior lights are on a timer and shut off after less than 10 minutes of no detected activity. In my case, one of my 2 units is 15 feet from the door to the back wall. When the light shuts off, it is pitch black. I have to carry a flashlight in my hand at all times to find my way to the door and wave my arms to get the lights to turn back on after detecting motion. It is very dangerous, especially for someone who is disabled and a senior. Also, my units are on the second floor and there is no cell signal unless you are on the ground floor. These are things that only corporate has control over. But the site manager Billy does an excellent job of helping the tenants to the best of his ability and if he had the authority, I am certain he would find solutions to the issues I mentioned. Unfortunately, the rental rate is more expensive for units on the first floor. As far as pricing, they are comparable to other self storage facilities in this section of Palm Coast.
