This is consistently the worst Walmart I've been to. The customer service desk is never open. Employees are rude. I've had to make multiple complaints to management about interactions with various employees. The worse one being, I was buying an ovulation test out of a locked case. The employee who unlocked it for me chuckled and said "at least you're not buying one of those!" and pointed to the selection of vibrators they carry. I was gobsmacked. Like, do you not realize I'm buying an ovulation test? The two activities kinda go hand in hand.. I wish this wasn't the closest location to me. I go out of my way to avoid it. read more

The Gresham East Powell store hss for awhile now, closed down the large self check out's. They rarely have a checker, when they do the line is terribly long. I often see employees gathered and talking, when managed properly they could be monitoring the large self check out's. I will be shopping in elsewhere for now. Mangement do something. read more

We come here for the Grocery Pick Up Service. It's awesome. Place your order on line then pick a time and wah lah. Your order awaits your arrival. A little I.D. check and they'll even load your groceries for you. The clerks are always nice, that helps. read more

Every other time I buy meat from this Walmart it's always expired or rarely about to expire. I bought 10 pounds of hamburger in a rush after work and of course, both expired 6 days ago. Seems like it takes a lot of effort to leave something expired on the shelf for that long. read more

They are not open until 10:00. They have people standing outside the doors telling everyone they are closed before 10. All I needed was coffee for the next morning and they refused to let me in at 9:55. I would have been back out the doors before 10:00. Might as well update your hours if people aren't allowed in during your listed business hours. read more

It's a neighborhood market so it's not a full Walmart. This store seems to be understaffed but now that i can check out myself it's ok. I love both areas of self check out. This store is always fairly clean and most of the time even the restrooms are good. Their shelves are, like many others, often not fully stocked. Maybe i always go at inopportune times... but thankfully I'm 6' and can reach the top shelf where i literally have gotten the things i need that are not in their normal places. Literally has nearly everything you need for the household. No clothing this is, again, not a full market. But they do have a nice selection of sugar free items. Truly impressed with that. Strange comment but they also carry jumbo eggs which i prefer and i love the everything but the bagel loaf of fresh baked bread. Their grocery area is pretty good and you can get some ok fresh produce deals. All toiletries are typically available or on the top shelf. When you go to the areas that requires an attendant they typically come quickly. The pharmacy is good and very helpful. I've returned some things that i ordered online and never had a problem as the customer service was always good. Definitely a good store to have close.... read more

On Oct 5th my husband and I ordered $130 worth of grocerie online. After the delivery I noticed that we only received $35 worth of the order. ($95 of the order missing) We contacted customer service right away and she said by the looks of the picture that the delivery person made, you got your groceries. We're were denied getting a new delivery replacement or getting a refund. We even called the local store where we do THE majority of our shopping at and my husband and I pick up our prescriptions at. I bet if they checked each notes I have been persistent with on each calls I made on the items we didn't get,. All calls should match! The picture below is from the delivery person. Ok, where is the family pack boneless pork chops, family pack of 2 T-bone steaks, 4 bowls of salad ( pre-packaged,) humus, frozen salmon steaks, 2 frozen bags of mixed vegetables, 3 bags of frozen vegetables ( microwave wave safe in bag). Eggs, and turkey sausages. We are disgusted just look at the grocery bags and see for yourself. read more

I shop here sometimes as it's close to Sandy. It is not a well run store, they have had wrong prices on some of the end caps for months and the employees couldn't care less. Then I accidentally dropped something under one of the check stands and did the right thing and told three different employees.... The looks of indifference I got were actually surprising... but then I guess they were not the brightest bulbs on the tree.. the last gal running the front actually said 'I'm sure someone will get it in a couple minutes.... My husband and I booked our covid shots here, and to be honest, I was not happy we had to go out to Gresham, being a Westsider. I had also seen what was happening at Rite aid and Wallgreens with huge groups of people and chaos. This was not the case here. The second we walked in, I felt safe with the wall of employees watching everyone entering. No lines at the pharmacy, and we both received our shots quickly, and professionally. On my way out I saw one of the reasons why I felt so safe. Mabel Perez. She was at the security area when we left, and I worked with her at Saylers. She is smart, observant, and will see any problem walking in there. I feel much more at ease going in there for my second shot in a few weeks knowing what a tight ship you guys are running at this location. read more

So Walmart... where do you even start- but during this time- when maybe it would help to have more than 2 lanes open or push you to long self check out. I stood in line for over 20 mins and only 4 people ahead of me- guy in front of me asked for another checker they said wait til 4:30 New shift and maybe one more will open.. Up the street near where Burnside and Powell Blvd intersect you will find this Walmart. While this is not a Super Walmart, this location is larger than other Neighborhood Markets I have visited. There is ample parking and this store seems a lot less busy than the other Walmart on 181st and Powell. It is crazy but there are two Neighborhood Market Walmart's within like 2 miles of each other. Nevertheless, it is always nice to have options. The produce here seems fresher than what I have seen at the other smaller Walmart's. They also offer a wider selection of products including meats, dairy and produce. The people here are friendly and there is a fully functioning pharmacy department. They also have some baked goods along with deli styled food (baked chicken, fried chicken). What makes this location stand out is that the people here seem happier and the check stands are better staffed. I can get in and out of the store fast due to the faster checkout. There are self-pay stations and I can always find help when I cannot find something. It is nice that there are plenty of cashiers unlike what I have seen at other Walmart stores. The pricing here is very competitive and you will be hard fought to find it lower elsewhere. read more

This is a nice enough grocery store. It isn't quite as nice as, say, the Safeway in Gresham. But it is clean, and quick and easy to get in and out of. The prices are not as low as the walmart supercenter, but they definitely still beat Safeway, Fred Meyer, Albertsons, etc. The other neighborhood market in Gresham is a bit nicer, in my opinion, although this one is in a bit nicer neighborhood, and it gets the job done. It is a place I go shopping fairly regularly. (although lately I have been doing the online ordering and pickup, which is free, from the walmart supercenter, which is even better). read more

I had to stop and say "hello, good morning", and I got a very unenthusiastic " hey" as a response. Typical of the Walmart business plan. Force your suppliers to cost down to the point where quality suffers. This is why I avoid Walmart. A new walmart grocery store opened up near our home so for convienence we tried it out. I bought some extra sharp cheddar from the gourmet cheese section and the cheese ended up tasting just like that cheap processed american crap. My wife picked up some dill pickles in a jar and these were pretty much soft and rotten when they were canned. Check-out only has one aided checkout and the rest are self check out which are pretty much a nightmare. Produce is way overpriced. Not that this is a problem because most of the pajama wearing welfare moms shopping there walked by the produce to get to the potato chip and soft drink/beer aisles. I'll stick with Winco where the prices are cheaper and the quality is good. read more

I wouldn't even give one star if I didn't have to. This Walmart is a joke. For the longest time they weren't posting that they close @ 5:30pm. You call and it says 9:00pm. So here I am after 3 months of not going to this store I pull up at 8:05pm and guess what...now they close at 8:00pm while walking up to approach I'm informed that they are closed. I said why don't you change your recording to this store so it reflects your actual closing time. The SUPER awesome Walmart employee says it's been this way for 2 months mam. I said that's untrue because I have checked and you've been closed. Then she admits well I wasn't working at this specific Walmart but the other ones close at 8:00pm soooo...? What an absolute joke. This place just tried to overcharge me and made it as inconvenient as possible for me to get a refund. The Folgers coffee was marked at $7.68 for what passes for a 3 lb can these days. When I went through the checkout line, it rang up at over $11.00. This is more than even Safeway charges. When I asked for a refund, the cashier informed me that he could not issue refunds and directed me to the customer service line. Several minutes later, I got the difference back in cash even after requesting that it just be put back on my debit card. Did you really think I wouldn't notice a discrepancy like that or think I wouldn't bother getting it corrected? Let your cashiers make things right like everyone else does and quit trying to cheat your customers. You've lost my business permanently. read more

Even though it's a Wal-Mart, it's a small one with less of Wal-Mart feel to it. Some of the cashiers are very friendly, others not so much. They're always busy and overworked and seemingly understaffed, so I don't blame them. It's easy to get the things I need here, despite keeping my walmart shopping to a minimum when there's a Freddy's right across the street (I only by the free range chicken from here and some of their frozen wild caught fish, but ALL produce I purchase at fred meyer as walmart has next to nothing for organics). It's a necessary place for us to save money and still get the type of meat we're looking for. They have all the baking items I'd need, and most of the Asian staples to cook a basic meal my partner has found a recipe for. This simplifies my shopping trip so I appreciate this market. read more

Across the street. Easy to walk to for a quick item. Always a self check out avail which is nice when you want to run in and out real quick. Service is slow at times. I can finally purchase Horchata in the greater Gresham Oregon area. They now carry one half gallon containers of Kern's Horchata. This may not be as good as fresh made Horchata that can be found in a few restaurants, but I prefer Kern's Horchata over Milk!! read more

Every time I come in to this Walmart there's always some kind of issue. It's either the cashiers don't bag your groceries right, or their rude, or they don't have very good customer service. On my shopping trip today I was going through the self checkout area buying some beer for a barbecue I was attending and the lady had the nerve to ask me if I was pregnant. Then she proceeded to tell me that if I was pregnant she wasn't going to sell me alcohol. Also I might want to add that I just had a child six weeks ago and so I haven't been able to drop the baby weight yet understandably. My point being the people that work there are just not trained to have customer service and I don't really want to shop there anymore I wouldn't suggest anybody else go shopping there... Worst Walmart I have ever been to ever!!! Be prepared to be in line for 30 minutes . Some of the staff is very rude, but some are ok .

Service is usually iffy and the isles kinda look like garbage. But I guess i can't complain when they always have cheap prices.

So this location is a great location for a store to bad Gresham let Walmart in. Horrible customer service, Rude and disrespectful staff. Poor management and a bad attitude from some customer service boy over an item I returned with a receipt ( don't try without one they treat you like a criminal or it. So long story short I bought 200 dollars worth of stuff but bought the wrong laundry soap so I take it back and I'm told no receipt no return. So I leave and end up finding my receipt go back to the store and than the boy at the desk says you can't return laundry soap after telling me if I had the receipt it wouldn't be a problem. So I've veered away from shopping this company because of there treatment to customers but now I'm done for good with this place and even cut up my credit card with them. My favorite grocery store. Employees are so great. Maria, "Marteen", Aaron... really nice and friendly people. It's such a nice place to shop. "Great Value"(s) if you know what I mean. My husband and I have been going here for 5+ years. Never had a problem. Occasionally we got the opened bag of whatever and immediately rectified it. This evening we do our shopping and pull up to the self checkout. Everything is going great and then we get to the beer and wine purchase. We usually wait to do this last because it takes away from the attendants busy night. Anyway we alert this gentleman that we need over forty authorization. ( We have encountered and conversed with this individual at least three times in the past). He approached our check stand and stated that he smelled alcohol. We thought he was joking as my husband and I have not had any alcohol for two+ weeks. He then proceeded to deduct the alcohol from our tab, that's when I realized it was for real. I really didn't care because sometimes people need to power Trip to make them feel better about their lives. However my husband took great umbrige at being accused of something he was not guilty of. ( Considered calling police for a breathalyzer). Anyway to sum it up, deodorant, beard oil, random personal cleansing products can be mistaken for alcohol???? Protect yourself do not bathe before visiting Walmart your efforts are wasted. PS still like Walmart just not that one. read more

I live fairly close and I love the fact that I can get in and out quickly, and don't have to deal with the insane amount of people that you usually have to deal with shopping at Fred Meyer or Safeway.
