I don't leave reviews often, but with my recent experience at this store was VERY DISAPPOINTING! Not only is this location full of bums and thief's "shopping" around the store with huge backpacks, stealing... Which makes shopping here very uncomfortable. I recently ordered an air mattress and it would deflate within an hour there was no holes or anything wrong with it, but it didn't stay inflated, so I decided to get something else instead of an air mattress, but when we took it to exchange or return they said because it was open we can't return we can only exchange for another one, so we had no choice but to get a new one, we got another one which was more expensive, so then I had to pay even more money for something I don't need anymore! Since I saw that they are not sturdy enough I decided to not even open the new one because I don't want it, so I took it back to ask if I can just get a store credit instead since I don't need an air mattress anymore and it wasn't even opened. They told me I can't because it was an exchange and the first one was opened. But that is unfair because it's not my problem that they sell products that don't actually work but then when you ask for a store credit just to get something else they don't even let, it's not like we were asking for money back! I called customer service and they didn't help either they said the store manager will call me back I get a voicemail from the store manager the next day telling me to give them a call back at the store. I call the store back a huge WALMART store more than once and no one is answering! I will never order from them again! read more

This Walmart has the worst customer service ever, they do not care at all and the "Team Lead" mutters under his breath (Adiel Kehl - worst attitude ever) say and I quote when I asked to speak the manager "you're gonna be waiting a long time" and walks off towards the back of the store and ignores my request. Once I challenge him on what he muttered he ignored me and told the rep at returns to ignore me as well. I asked speak to another lead and I refuse to leave the line so finally they got someone else and he refuses to try and help as well. The help I need you ask??? - simply return a Drew Barrymore toaster that did not work. He refused to accept as "barcodes" are different per store and they couldn't "look up" the barcode for the toaster to return item since I did not buy it at their store - they told me its against thier policy and I had to go back to the other store over an hour away to return a $40 toaster that quite working.... I went to Walmart because I needed to pick up my order i purchased online. When you walk in there is a kiosk noting it's not available anymore only from 8am -8pm but ask an associate for help. So I said ok maybe the kiosk is closed and I have to go upstairs. I've picked up items before after 8 so this is another reason I didn't pay much attention to the kiosk or the email they sent. I arrive and get closer and there is a girl it's 8:03pm and tells me it's closed in the rudest attitude! She says that they're closed and looks at me like I am stupid. Ok how simple was it to give me a no sorry were closed or just a simple were closed. She didn't need to talk the way she did. Body language says a lot and words combine it. Called the store the women at the customer service desk kept saying I had it shipped and then just lays the phone on the counter. I recommend you go to any other Walmart in the valley this one is very dirty and disorganized and always has about 2 or 3 registers open at a time the parking lot is super crowded and very tight and also very dirty they seem to have a limited supply of anything you're looking for and not many employees to help you find what your looking for the customer service line is always very long ( maybe they should have at least 2 employees over there). Also when I called the electronics department to ask if they had something in stock they put me on hold and never came back to me then when I hung up and called back they never answered so I went into the store and employee told me that's usually what they do to get people just to come in. It's Walmart so it's not like this place was ever going to get 5 stars but as to why it gets 1...I'll explain to you. Parking: Honestly this is the first time I've ever been to a WalMart where parking was so difficult and narrow...I felt like many times I would end up hitting the various children unsupervised by their parents using the parking lot like a playground. I'm dead serious. It's quite a mess. Once you've maneuvered through the treacherous parking lot which I don't understand why they give no space for parking when the lot is HUGE!!! Then make your way inside! Store: It's a Walmart so it has stuff. That being said I'm impressed at the employees that maintain the cleanliness of this store in all it's mayhem. May you find a happy place WalMart employees because looking upon their faces many of them look like they are ready to blow their brains out...no exaggeration...and I don't blame them. I would too if I worked here. This Walmart makes me more anxious and nervous that Forever 21 or Macy's because too much people and too much stuff...I get real nervous! The store is split into two levels. The bottom level or main floor consists of the customer service area, grocery, personal maintenance stuff and clothing. The upper level houses electronics, furniture, decorations and honestly more stuff I can't remember because there was just too many people. Staff: Like I mentioned WalMart employees make you very grateful for your life because they just all look so depressing and miserable. I wonder if that's a marketing technique on the chain's part. If you need help ask because no one here will willingly talk to you unless you ask them something. The people here are very helpful and I try not to bug them because I notice with the more social interactions they have with customers a little bit of happiness (you see it in their eyes) is lost in the verbal transaction. Unfortunately that being sad for a WalMart that gives you the feeling of being in an organized swap meet they should employ more people to run the registers. Seriously WalMart manager you can do with a bit more cashiers. Peoples' patiences are put to the test when tkes time to wait in line to pay. From customers who don't get that EBT doesn't cover everything to those who have 4 carts of stuff but then realize they only can buy 1 cart full...yeah make sure you are in a happy place or talk to your neighbor! If I had to sum up this Walmart in one word: GHETTO!! If you don't mind the drive, go to Santa Clarita or Porter Ranch. I never "shop around" here. I just grab what I need and go or I use this location for the Site-to-Store since it's the closest to where I live. This place is always a mess it's like they don't bother up-keeping the store. The lines at checkout are always super long and because of this area, there are no self-checkout kiosks. The parking lot here is terrible. There's a lot of unnecessary traffic because the people HAVE to wait for the parking space that's closer to the entrance. There are ALWAYS solicitors in the front. I love Walmart. But I HATE this particular one. The service sucks. The location sucks. the employees suck. It just sucks all around. The employees mostly look like they're from 18 st or they're doing their community service here. There are always kids playing tag up and down this store. Running even through the escalators. Yelling all over the place. I walk up to the hair and make up products only to come across a small gate. Yes people! A small gate! Hmm, weird. Hate to say it, but this definitely the worst Walmart in L.A. county... It's small, dirty, crazy crowded, and under-stocked with limited parking...It is mainly here to cater to the poor, largely hispanic/latino, population of panorama city.. The only reason why I frequent it, is to get my monthly prescription at the pharmacy which is never crowded, super cheap, and hassle free... It still baffles me that a place with a return line literally almost out of the front door and lines at the registers stretching 20 feet, can have a pharmacy line wait time of 5 minutes MAXIMUM... I get stared at almost the entire time I am there and play frogger while having to maneuver through loose, running children, fat people in wheel chairs, and people asking me for money.. but never seem to have a problem.. I light a fire under my ass and I am IN AND OUT... I can also attest to the situation that is the "cosmetic aisles"... if you need something along those circumstances... avoid this Walmart at all costs.. As previously said, they make you purchase those products separately and WITHIN the aisles themselves.. People in that area are that pathetic... When they first started doing this, I got a lil upset with the idea and was walked my products to the pharmacy checkout where I usually finish buying anything I need along with my prescription.. because of this, Walmart is now losing my business for other products and I have now moved my shopping to solely Target. read more

This place has got one of the dirtiest, most littered parking lots I have ever seen. It shares the lot for the Panorama (mini) mall, but that's still no excuse for a parking lot where I have to watch where I step. The building used to be a department store so the layout isn't like most other Wal-Marts. It has a separate entrance to the mall and has an escalator for you and your cart. This Wal-Mart is far from clean and the employees here are unnecessarily pretentious. Sure there have been a few nice ones, but for the most part it seems they play "favorites" with other customers. Walmart....what can i say about this Walmart that dozens haven't already said below me? The parking lot is horrible!!! the lanes are soooo friggin' tiny so if you have a bigger vehicle.....good luck driving down them without clipping a cars backside. First of all it's walmart, most of these reviews are ridiculous. You cannot expect to enter into any walmart and expect high class shopping. You get what you shop for. You are going to walmart for goodness sake! take a chill pill or shop somewhere else! I do not think this walmart is as dirty as everyone is talking about. I will be real about a couple of things: The parking lot is huge, there are lots of people, the lines to pay are usually very long. The cashiers do look angry, tired, bored or annoyed most of the time. I still think that if you shop here, your expectations cannot be that high and if they are not then you won't have a problem with it. All the crazy people that come here or are outside do not bother you if you do not bother them or pay attention. Most of the time if you go in, get what you need, have patience, pay and go, you won't have a problem. I try to make the best of any experience I have. I hadn't been to a Walmart in years, but my husband needed something here. I had forgotten how difficult it can be to maneuver inside with so many patrons. But we managed relatively unscathed. The electronics dept was not so busy. Staff was quite friendly and assisted us quickly. The parking lot was complete chaos, however. It was very difficult to find a parking space and took some time. It's Wal-Mart of course you are going to have a somewhat messy store and cheap quality items. I was in the mood to be bitterly displeased one day, so I decided to go to Walmart. I made a small purchase at this Walmart one day, and decided to go to a check-out counter to complete my visit. Up to that point the visit to Walmart had been without incident, so I thought it might be an overall pleasant experience, and was getting ready to be disappointed. However, the guy that was manning the check-out counter that I decided on clearly had better things to do, as I could see that he was about to close. He saw me wanting to get rung up, so he hesitated, then decided to do one more "quickie" ringing up. Well, I tried to pay by credit card, but the credit card reader wasn't working for some reason. "Oh, can I see the card?" the man asked. I showed it to him. "We don't accept Visa," he informed me. "What the heck?!" I thought to myself. "Since when don't you accept one of the biggest credit card companies around?" He responded to that with something that I thought was utter baloney, so I decided to pay by cash. After that was completed, I returned to the inside of the store and bought a soda at a different counter, deciding to test my newly revealed "knowledge." Not surprisingly, I purchased the soda using my Visa credit card without a problem. I knew I was being lied to! If I only had the name of that employee, I would post it here. I would also thank him for the displeasure of being blatantly lied to, even if the lie wasn't believable. Oh dear!!! I made the supreme mistake of ordering another vacuum from Walmart. Online, you can designate the primary pickup person and the alternate pickup person, for in-store pickups. I designated my housekeeper and friend, [name withheld] as the alternate. But when she got there tonight she said she was not listed on the order. I knew this was wrong because she was listed on the confirmation email I got on 12/2. I called, asked for the manager ... was left on hold for 15 minutes while he decided to come to the phone. I gave him the order number and her name. I told him she was waiting at customer service for this to be resolved. And he left me on hold for another 18 minutes after telling me he would go upstairs and check. His name was Robert (for reference, in case you encounter him at the Panorama City store) and he was a totally lazy, indifferent, and condescending jerk! He then told me I was listed as both the primary and alternate. I went online to look at my order history (VERY SHORT!), and saw that he was correct. Clearly the system was screwing up. I then put her back in as the alternate and refreshed. She was there. I then asked him to check again ... AND HE REFUSED!! He claimed the system wouldn't update for 24 hours. I told him this was not true because I was looking at the correct information, online, NOW. He refuse and HUNG UP ON ME! I then called [name withheld] and told her to go to Customer Service again and have them pull it up without letting the abusive manager Robert know. She did and VOILA, there it was ... her name as the alternate pickup. They gave her the vacuum, finally. Walmart doesn't care about the customers, they just care about the bottom line. The ONLY reason I bought this vacuum cleaner there was because Walmart is the only place this new model is being sold. It's a "test market" situation. Believe me, I would have HAPPILY paid more to buy it anywhere else. Customer service at Walmart is a JOKE!!! Seriously, if you can buy your stuff elsewhere, regardless of the price difference, DO! I have been going here since June 2010 and the dirt cheap prices keep me coming back. The only thing that has changed since then is the addition of a produce section which I recommend getting your produce elsewhere. If you decide to venture here the optimal time to do that is in the morning before noon. After that the lines are monstrous which I personally recommend going to Target on Raymer and Kester post noon. Parking isn't really an issue, but you'll be hassled at times by homeless and people wanting you to sign petitions. The cashiers are hit and miss. I've been charged for the same item twice. So if you want cheap prices then you can't beat Wal-Mart. Everything else isn't too desirable. read more

I was quite surprised and cannot believe ( since I have been buying my money order here for a lot of times) ... I asked this lady again If she is sure with her information. But no, she is an arrogant one that will kinda "roll eyes, put on some lip gloss and will look away" . I asked her , how could it be? What if I comeback later wearing different clothes and buy $100 money order?. She stupidly answered. No you can't because we can recognize you... ( oh my! My brain laughed inside and cry at the same time ). To cut it short , and save my precious time . I spoke to the manager. Manager also surprised if there is a new policy like that? . ( manager also asked, why customer cannot buy separate money order) What if they want to pay bills ( for different company) they have to wait 24 hrs. So I called MoneyGram ( MoneyGram I think is the company behind that money transfers and or money order inside Walmart " I hope I got the correct info) I spoke to the associate and asked her if there is a policy that says that customer cannot purchase 2 separate money order in different amount. So I went back and told that Smart Cashier " Ericka" that I called MoneyGram , but this time she refused to entertain me, I went to the new line and she told me that she is busy :" wanted to look busy looking down and writing something " but doing nothing" then she point the other cashier will assist me instead. I asked her again ,are your really sure that you cant sell separate money order for $100? I also asked her if there is any written policy so I can see and read? She showed piece of paper , and I said can I read that? So I can see if it say so.. She said " I cannot show it to you, this is for the store!.... wow! She is something else. Then the other cashier, helped me and sold me my money order. What a waste of my time. read more
