I love just about everything about Walmart! Even the little things that don't matter to others. Like stocking a carton of half a dozen eggs. That's a big deal for a single person like myself. Ran in here to get a fishing license and some kastmaster lures, which they had in abundance. the man who rung me up was very helpful and knowledgeable, and we chatted a bit about baits and fishing. an overall positive experience, but the parking lot looked a tiny bit sketchy and as i was leaving a homeless/drunk raggedy man was yelling and half-chasing after someone and a security officer was trying to subdue him. don't know if that's typical or not but that's what it was like the one time i was there. read more

Horrible service. I went to this location and was forced to wait 3 hours before being told that my car battery was faulty. Then I had to argue with management to get them to replace the battery. I was told by the staff the battery was not available. After finally getting a decent person to help me, it only took 10 minutes to get a battery from the inventory. If only they had just looked it up to begin with I would not have had to argue for no reason. I would suggest going anywhere else than this Walmart. read more

I would give it 0 stars if I could. In general most Walmart locations are held to a standard. For example: this Walmart lacked a greeter, I believe they think that merchandise belongs on the floor not on the shelves. The cashier never spoke a word, no hello, no did you find what you were looking for. Most shelves in the toy area had no pricing. Seriously, there is no way they face off there aisles. They had a pest outbreak in the mens room that was going all the way into returns. The place smelled like a sewer. I video taped the bug infestation and requested over 5 or 8 employees take care of the problem only to be ignored. The parking lot has a lingering raw sewage smell, cumbersome parking thats hard to negotiate for those with less than average intelligence (which is most of what Wal*mart attracts). thats just the begining. As a newcomer to LA and the Valley, I came to this Walmart to get inexpensive items for my new place. It's not my first time going to a Walmart, so I had reasonable expectations, but it was still disappointing in how busy and disorganized the store is. You're probably wondering why I'm giving it 4 stars then (really, 3.5 stars, if I could). Well, that's because I've gone back a 2nd time, and that 2nd time made me like this store much better. I think the first time I found it so busy and disorganized is because I went late in evening time about 1.5 hours before closing time, so I think the store staff was trying to wind down and organize messes from the whole day. I think evening times also just tend to be busier than any other time regardless of the day of the week - aka LOTS of people. The carts are also old and poorly oiled making them really difficult to steer. This does make a difference to someone who's shopping by herself and has her purse in the cart - I have to push the cart wherever I go and that soured my experience. So, lesson learned - try to go during the day, try to go with someone else when buying a lot of stuff so they can help you with the cart. But I'm upgrading it to 4 stars (really 3.5 stars, as I said before), because I or the cashier somehow did not put a $20 item into my cart after I checked out. I didn't realize this until 3 days later because I bought a lot of stuff and was in the middle of unpacking even more things at my apartment. I thought for sure the managers wouldn't believe me and help me, but when I went to customer service, the staff was nice, called over the manager, who was also nice and had the inventory checked - and sure enough, there was a mismatch in the inventory meaning I did leave behind my $20 item, and they put it back on the shelves. So, I got back my left behind item. Score! I agree with those who say the parking is difficult - lot is small, aisles are narrow. Don't even try to get a spot close to the entrance - waste of time. I also have to say, as disorganized as this store is, they seem to pretty well stocked, and prices are really good - what you'd expect from Walmart. You just have to go in with low expectations regarding organization, personal bubble (lots of people here), and cleanliness. However, if you know what you want, you'll most likely find it and come out reasonably satisfied. Again, like I stated before - try to go during the day and if you're buying a lot of things, come with someone who can help you steer those awful carts. read more

99% of the time I call Walmart I already know it's going to be completely and utterly pointless. I call them anyway. No answer after holding for the electronics department. Call again, still no luck in finding out if my item was actually in stock. I take 30 minutes to drive to the Walmart, item not in stock. I inform them that I called ahead and the employees could gave 2 shits less about the fact that I just drove over to find out if an item was in stock. I shop for another item I need and asking the employees questions is like pulling teeth trying to get a reasonable response. I can't wait until Walmart goes out of business because I have been unsatisfied with this miserable business since day one. This Walmart is horrible. I have been treated with bad attitude, the cashier don't know how to use the register. I was using my credit card to pay and when i would slide my card in and the cashier said" It's not working,and the card was declined".I said i do have money in the card and she made me slide in my card several of to times and besides her lying at me she was laughing right in my face. This is not everything. When i slided my card in the visa scanner just broke and fell on my foot and cause pain in my foot for several hours. I have been going to this Walmart for years but today was exceptional. Everyone was super nice and helpful. If they saw me looking, they approached me and asked if I needed any help. They answered my questions as best as they could. Would have given them 5 stars, but they were out of some of the items i wanted and had to order them on line. I also had to make sure my online purchase was over $35 to save on shipping. I didn't want store pick up because it would cost me more in gas. So I saved gas and shipping charges. Keep up on the excellent customer service. My online order arrived on time exactly as they promised. Very pleased with the improvements Walmart has made. read more

Burbank Walmart & Walmart.com Fraudulent Returns Never Processed... On August 13th, 2019 at 3pm, I returned an item (a bicycle) in store and was told the return was processed but over protest, was denied a receipt. Walmart.com told me the return was never processed. When i returned to store August 13th, 2019 at 11pm I was told they "couldn't find," the item and had no record of the transaction. I called police and they agreed to review footage to find it. I had to return a total of 4 MORE TIMES before anyone was able to process the return. The following individuals interacted with me at some point to make this return finally happen: [ ] Christine [ ] Veronica [ ] Harold [ ] Nora [ ] Raquel [ ] Sharry Cust. Relations Laaney - Customer Relations Raquel and Laaney were the only helpful ones. Harold was USELESS and Rude! On August 17th, after insisting I go back to the store for THE 5TH TIME to process it in-person, customer service sent an email saying that they had "just processed it" online. I had already spent an additional hour and a half in the store that morning. On August 19th, I realized that I hadn't received return receipts for most of my online purchase/returns and had just taken for granted that the funds were returned. I looked into it and found both online and in-store discrepancies. I called customer care and they referred me to the electronic funds transfer departments which had only an automated recording saying to contact my card issuer if a refund was not reflected. I contacted my card issuer and provided them the missing refund records from my Walmart app. The bank began the dispute process. The next day I got a call from someone in customer service at Burbank Walmart where all the shenanigans happened. She said they received my letter to the president regarding a mishandled refund... I told her it had already been processed days before but thanked her. Within the hour my Walmart.com account was "closed," and I received an email stating that my return activity violated their terms of use and I was no longer allowed to make orders. I was trying to buy an air freshener for my car, but since they have them locked up I need the assistance of an employee, I cannot tell you how long I waited and looked for an employee to help me. Finally I found one and he said that he'll get someone to help me, so I went back to the air fresheners and waited for about 20 minutes and no one ever came. Our purchase rang up 40% more than the list price. Literally, almost every single item was a solid 30-40% more expensive. This Walmart is likely the most crowded in the country, so the return line is 60 minutes long. They know a lot of people won't check the receipt, let alone wait through the hassle. I went back in and demanded my refund expedited due to the circumstance, which they did with me pressing. Other people at the return counter were also furious as to why the prices were higher when rang up. This is millions of dollars per day in blatant theft. Something must be done. It is by far the most disgusting Walmart I have ever been to. It's a huge store and they have nothing. Looked for a dog harness. They had 3 to choose from and they were in a locked case with the leashes and collars. If they are worried about someone stealing leashes....guard your purses ladies. Looked at dishes....they barely had half an isle and what they had was awful. Store is dirty. Things are all over the place. Two check stands open and the lines we so long they went into the aisle. It would be nice if they got rid of the graffiti all over the side of the building. They certainly have the money. I went there because it is actually the one that is closest to my home and decided to check it out. Way worth the drive to go to the other two I go to. Never coming back here. Customer service doesn't seem to be important to Walmart. Came in today for an in-store pickup they advertise to be closed at 8pm. Came in with 10 min to spare. (I work long hours work for UPS) It was 7:50 No one was at the kiosk I approached the greeters in the front as they were the closest employees. Assuming they'd point me in the right direction. But I was wrong! They got mad at me for simply asking for direction. All I wanted was help. Then I went to another employee to see if I would get some help and no luck there. Eventually it was definitely past 8 and The person at the exit recommended me to try customer service. It's around 8:15 and I get to the counter ask about In-store pick up and all I get was "they are closed". They said they'd ask the manager for help. They page the manager, 15 min pass and nothing. They then advised me to go back to the front exit to ask for the manager there. I assume they just wanted me gone. So there I am back where I started. The security guard walks to the office to ask the manager on duty for assistance. Comes back to me and he says he's to busy and will be busy for a while also the other manager was on lunch and that's the manager I was previously waiting for for 15 minutes. How does that work? This place has the worst employees, I ordered a swing set which should have arrived Monday, on the Walmart website & I tracked it. It ended up in their sun valley terminal. The package has been sitting there since Monday, & its almost Friday! My children are crying for the swing set so I call Walmart. I'm put on hold every time , no one answers, or transfers me to a phone that no one picks up. I would rate them at a negative star. Their beyond incompetence and have absolutely zero customer service. Forget this place, give me my swings and I'm out, I'll never waste my time or money here again!!!! P.s. Do NOT go here. This Walmart's vibe is definitely third world. I'm sure there are Walmart stores in rural Oklahoma or deep Tennessee (my apologies in advance) which are the height of spaciousness and sophistication compared to this place. Right in the heart of present day Los Angeles... unbelievable. I needed a hand-held steamer and a rice cooker day before Halloween (I know, the things you need at the last minute...) and the Panorama City store was the only store which could offer me the exact brand/model of the two items I needed AND available for 'Pickup Today.' I made my online order and a few hours later received verification email. Great. Problem solved. I'm vaguely aware of the Panorama City area because I just don't need to go there in the normal day's events, though I think there's a Home Depot somewhere locally which - again - might have an item or two that other stores are out of stock on. So, I arrive at the Walmart and recognize the building from many years ago... '80s maybe? I'm sure it used to be a furniture store at one time, then maybe it was a K-Mart... I really can't remember, but I know it's certainly changed hands a number of times. There really aren't that many buildings of that size in that central of a position in the valley. Yes, to be fair, I collected my stuff pretty quickly and with a minimum of fuss. But the atmosphere of the store completely and utterly turned me off. It was like a middle eastern bazaar or souk. I can't believe such a wealthy company would have its name on a premises such as this. Walmart, spend some of your money! I got locked out of my apartment and stopped by this Walmart 4 minutes before closing to pick up a spatula in hopes of being able to get in. The security guard saw my panic and was so nice in directing me to the kitchen section. What really stood out the most during this visit was a miracle: Marlon who was working near the kitchen section and asked me "Is there anything I can help you find?" I think this is the first time a Walmart employee has ever really taken the time to provide me with TRUE customer service. Marlon walked me to my aisle and even provided me with advice on which items are best sellers. I just think that he is a true blessing to this company and he deserves to be recognized. read more
