I loved being accosted by a group of Scientologists wanting to give me a stress test before I even entered the building. This is purely managements fault for allowing them to bug the sh*t out of their customers. I found it to be somewhat clean, considering the area it's in. I find it hard to blame Walmart for the environment, it's more about the location they're in and some of the clientele, but to be honest, it's not as bad as half these reviews indicate, and the Pharmacy staff was very helpful - especially the gentleman named Peim (I know I probably butchered his name, and I do apologize!). It really isn't as bad as people are making it. Yeah, the area is sub par. Sure, there will be people trying to sell you used DVDs and other trinkets right outside the doors. Maybe, someone will be getting arrested by one of the many security cars in the parking lot. Unfortunately, none of that has anything to do with the actual Wal Mart. The actual Wal Mart is part of the mall and has two levels. I only went in to do a Layaway order on the new Wii-U. I was told by Burbank walmart when I bought a primo water dispenser that they were out of the primo water jugs and I could come back another day with my coupon to pick it up. Well Burbank since black friday hasn't had them back in stock, so I went to panorama city on the suggestion of a worker at Burbank walmart. Panorama city walmart said I need to return the entire dispenser, re purchase it at full price now, (I bought it almost half off on Black Friday) and bring the coupon back in. To start parking lot was so dark and small , by the time I got to front door of store a total of 3 homeless people had asked for money . I recently just moved to California and went to this Walmart after class to purchase a couple of items. Once I located the items I needed I paid for them at the register and used my own bags and presented the lady at the front door with my receipt as did everyone else. The lady (Walmart worker) held on to my receipt and asked me to open my bag, which I did and she began to take each item out of my bag and check each bar code and compare it to the receipt. Now keep in mind there are ALOT of other people who showed her their receipt with bags and baskets full of items and she just glanced at the receipt and let them walk out. She stated that my receipt had 10 items on it but my bag had 11 items (which it did not). She told me that I did not pay for some spaghetti sauce that I did in fact pay for and told me she had to take it out of my bag. I was shocked at what was happening and began counting my items in my bag and comparing the bar codes to my items to the receipt. I walked back up to the lady and advised her that I did in fact pay for the spaghetti sauce and I felt that I was being racially profiled, because out of everyone that was exiting the store (the only black person) my bag was searched. The lady was very defensive and stated that I did not pay for the item but I could take the item and leave (basically telling me I'm stealing, but the item was on my receipt). I advised her that I felt like I was getting racially profiled because she did not check anyone else's bag. I don't leave reviews often, but with my recent experience at this store was VERY DISAPPOINTING! Not only is this location full of bums and thief's "shopping" around the store with huge backpacks, stealing... Which makes shopping here very uncomfortable. I recently ordered an air mattress and it would deflate within an hour there was no holes or anything wrong with it, but it didn't stay inflated, so I decided to get something else instead of an air mattress, but when we took it to exchange or return they said because it was open we can't return we can only exchange for another one, so we had no choice but to get a new one, we got another one which was more expensive, so then I had to pay even more money for something I don't need anymore! Since I saw that they are not sturdy enough I decided to not even open the new one because I don't want it, so I took it back to ask if I can just get a store credit instead since I don't need an air mattress anymore and it wasn't even opened. They told me I can't because it was an exchange and the first one was opened. But that is unfair because it's not my problem that they sell products that don't actually work but then when you ask for a store credit just to get something else they don't even let, it's not like we were asking for money back! I called customer service and they didn't help either they said the store manager will call me back I get a voicemail from the store manager the next day telling me to give them a call back at the store. Here I'm at this Walmart Store un Panorama City. I live in Rancho Cucamonga about 65 miles out from this store. I bought a car battery at my Walmart near my home in March 31, 2109 and with 12 months warranty. My car was at the Mecanic having some work done and now the battery will not work. It charges but lose energy right away. I brought to this Panorama City Walmart store to exchange. Manager on duty a black young woman told me I had to wait 60 to 90 days diagnosis on the battery in order for her to exchange. I said to her that no where in the receipt that policy is mentioned and she agreed but, still she will make me wait. I asked what is the purpose of the warranty if is not going to be honored? I called Walmart.com and they say that if I had bought the battery no questions ask and just do the exchange. When buying from the store is up to the manager really as the battery has warranty and receipt in hand she can just do it. I went back to Essence (Managers name) and I told her what Walmart.com had told me and just said to me why did I call them? Because it was the only number available I said and, she just told me No; it's her way or get out with my battery. I will never buy from a Walmart again car battery, I own 4 cars and I need two more but, with experience like this and managers like this is better to go another store like Target or Costco or Pepboys and just buy from them which has better costumer service and warranty. But I still keep the TV because i had out side speakers so I said it's not a big deal. now after a year the TV stoped working and they even not willing to give me credit to the store to purchase a new TV. Absolutely the worst Walmart I've walked into. The aisles are messy, and the floors are filthy. I could not find any staff around for help. And when I was in the presence of the employees, they seem rude and unwilling to help. The shoppers here were all wrong and just gave me chills. First I went in there to a return and I waited in line for about 20 minutes to get helped . Once I got to the register the employee (glory) asked me where were the yellow stickers that I was suppose get when I walked in . I told her I hadn't gotten any stickers when I came in . So she made me go back to the and get the stickers that she don't even use . Then I had to wait another 20min in line to be helped with my return . A simple return turned in a 50 minute return . I decided to grab some item I needed and I didn't wanna wait in there long lines so I decide to do self checkout . I choose Walmart for the prices but this Walmart was one of the worst I've been to. I was picking up otc meds for a sick family member. So, I had to ask this lady to help me with 6 different items placed in various isles in the pharmacy section. I gave an extra star because she was very helpful and had excellent customer service. But I couldn't help but feel like a bother because I had to ask for assistance. Everything was locked up.. I hadn't seen this much security for things, ever. Even the generic Tylenol that was $0.98, was locked up. Anyway, I make my way to the front to checkout. It was a bit chaotic. I choose self checkout because it's less wait. After that, I stuff my receipt in my purse and hold all my items because I couldn't find the bags to purchase. At the door, I have to fish my receipt out to show the doorman so I put my stuff in the floor while I do so and have all these customers behind me waiting. This location is two stories big with a very big parking lot. It's also connected to the mall in the plaza. It was probably one of the most disorganized and messiest location I've seen! There were also a lot of empty shelves and a lot of random stuff thrown around in every aisle :( read more

This Walmart should be closed!!! Short: The supervisor Gaby is a LIAR. Verify anything she tells you!! Long: I had to return something I bought from Walmart.com and this was the closest location to me. When I started to process the return I was informed that there was an issue with the transaction so I had to call Walmart.com CS. The CS rep from Walmart.com told me that it was an issue with the local stores database and they could call 700Walmart to clarify. I had the CS on speakerphone and informed the store rep how to correct them the rep got Gaby, a supervisor, involved. Gaby refused to call 700Walmart and told me it was an issue that Walmart.com had to fix. The rep on speakerphone heard this and told them it is NOT an issue with Walmart.com but with the store's database itself. Gaby still refused. I asked for a store manager or her supervisor and she straight lied (you will see how I know) that there were none in the store. The CS rep transferred me to a Walmart.com supervisor then this supervisor called the store directly and spoke to the assistant manager and informed me a member of management would come down to help me. Assistant Manager LorAnne comes down and Gaby is trying to coverup for her lack of customer service, which eventually caused LorAnna to call 700Walmart herself. LorAnne was able to clarify/verify my issue within 2 minutes. I informed management about how unhelpful Gaby was and LorAnne appeared upset also. My returned was completed with the help of an assistant manager, who I was told was not available. I purchased a floor lamp lamp online shipped by Walmart. This product is defective because the screw was off side and that's why the whole lamp could not be installed properly. I went to Walmart Van Nuys to return, they said it can't be returned in store because I purchased it online. I called manager, young lady with serious attitude problems.
