I have been using Walmart Pet Rx for almost a year and even recommended you to my Vet., that all change changed as of yesterday February 8. On February 3rd I placed a refill order for my 15-year-old Golden retriever who has Gait issues, the drug was for Galaprant and she is highly dependent on it for joint pain. I still had enough pills for a few days and was refilling the RX in a timely manner for my veterinarian to be contacted and for the mailing of the product. Yesterday afternoon five days after putting in the request for the refill I went ahead to the Walmart pet RX website to see when I would receive my the medication. According to your website the medication was not mailed out yet because it was waiting pharmacy approval. I then went ahead and contacted my veterinarian and told them that the refill request was sent to them five days ago from Walmart P. and  my dog is going to need the drug soon. An hour later my vet called back to tell me they never received a request for refill, immediately after speaking to them I contacted your customer service center. I spoke to a gentleman who was very polite and listened to my situation, it was then your customer service agent apologized and told me that the product was "actually out of stock". When I told him that according to Walmart P. order history it was not sold out and they were waiting approval. I then questioned why wouldn't Walmart tell me that the product was simply out of stock? When they have certainly never had a problem with the verbiage Out-of-Stock before? ( for example Denamarin refills) I discussed with him how disappointed I was at Walmart pet RX basically lying to me  which resulted in me having to question my veterinarian's follow though . I then told the customer service agent to immediately remove any future Auto Ship  orders and then I will be closing my account with Walmart pet RX immediately, and this decision was not based on a simple mistake but the customer being misled and lied to. I will be sharing my experience to let others know what happened so they do not go through the situation with their pets. I've always sung the praises of Walmart and think that you do provide excellent customer service and it's for that reason that I am shocked and immensely disappointed that Walmart Pet RX unnecessarily misled a customer about a prescription awaiting approval rather than be upfront and honest about it being out of stock. I've already joined another pet RX company that requires a membership fee, and perhaps there's the lesson,  you get what you pay for. read more

They indicated they had received approval from my vet and she said she would get it going. Something about telling the pharmacy to release it. 3 days later there was still no change in the status so I called again. The drug is out of stock!! This medicine is a matter of life or death for my dog. I now have to make a vet appt for her to get the shot instead of me doing in for her. Absolutely the worst and I have tried about 4 different online pet pharmacies. My biggest beef is that in order to change ANYthing, you have to call. Want to cancel an autoship order? Call. Want to just suspend it? Call. It's like the freaking cable company. I went out of my way to look for an email address (wanting to cancel an autoship order for a deceased pet), but then I saw that none of my pending autoship orders have any kind of reference! Just the idea that they are intentionally forcing you to call them so they can either upsell or prevent you from cancelling rattles my cage. Neither Chewy nor 1800 petmeds had the Comfortis I needed so I tried Walmart Pet Rx. I placed my order by phone, on Monday,which was very easy. They contacted my vet office for prescription approval and the medication arrived on Wednesday. Cost was the same as at the other sites and I still have not received a notification from either of them that the medication is back in stock at their companies. Please pay attention to the other reviews posted recently. I decided to try out Walmart PetRx because they had an item that Chewy and Petcarerx did not have. My vet sent approval in immediately but they keep claiming they have only received approval on only one of the 2 medications which is ridiculous (and they have been holding back the other medication instead of just sending the one they supposedly had approval on). My vet then sent approval AGAIN and they still have not processed my order. It has been a week and my poor senior dog is completely out of her medication that she needs. I've kept with Walmart Pet RX. Initially for their incredible prices. Over time I've become familiar with their system, veterinarian approvals... Customer service has been good and refunds have been handled well. The key is to plan ahead because RX approvals can take time. The Walmart Pet Pharmacy then needs time to fulfill the RX. It's not going to be like Amazon Prime (thank goodness) as there is a process that needs to be adhered to and Veterinarian approvals which will vary depending. Ordered on 30 NOV, vet confirmed 01 DEC, Walmart PetRX said confirmation came 03 DEC, Walmart PetRX confirmed shipment at the latest would be 06 DEC. 07 DEC they said they were experiencing "holiday delays" and could not confirm when Rx would ship. I asked that the order be cancelled if they couldn't confirm shipment. That was the ONE thing they did right away. This is just a poorly performing service and they are deceptive in communication. STAY AWAY. My vet renewed 2 prescriptions for my dog to Walmart pet RX. I got 1 prescription bottle in the mail with ONE pill in it. I called customer service and was told my vet had renewed one prescription for 1 pill. Next call was to the vet. He renewed both prescriptions for 100 pills each for 6 months. POS company, I order my pet medication for congestive heart failure on Thursday the 2nd and my vet confirmed the prescription with them right away, this jerks decided to sit on the medication until today the 6th to ship it out. I called today becase I was so upset that the medicine was wasn't coming and they said since it was a long weekend they did not work or ship the 3 or 4th . Called in five days after the original order, they were apologetic and sent another shipment, priority (whatever that means) to be delivered to a new address where our pet was staying as we were now out of town. Two days after that, received an e-mail stating the second order had been cancelled at our request. We most certainly did not cancel. Called in and was told the original order had been delivered--to our house where our pet who needed medication was not staying. So this priority order was never shipped--they waited two days to do anything and then cancelled it. I called in again and they agreed to ship another order to the correct address, but were going to send a return label for the original order. Doesn't seem transparent, and doesn't leave the customer feeling like they have autonomy over their purchasing experience. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They falsely advertise free two-day shipping without mentioning that if the package is less than 1 pound it is sent USPS, and thus may or may not come in 2 days. As a result, shipping dates change after packages are en route and it is very unpredictable. Not good when the product is medicine. They even admit the website "needs updating" to reflect this internal policy, but as it stands today it is false advertising. Most medication orders are under one pound. I will never use Walmart PetRx again. Two day shipping is a joke. And they lied to me. When I placed my order online on a Friday, I immediately called and spoke to Walmart PetRx to get them to go ahead and call my vet and get my suffering puppy's flea medication shipped out before the weekend. They assured me they would hang up the phone and immediately call my vet at the number I gave them. Nope. They never called - they emailed the wrong email address three times. On Monday morning first thing, I got my vet to call THEM, so I should have received my meds two days later by Wednesday. Nope. They waited another day so I received my stuff on Thursday. So, ordered on Friday, received six days later on Thursday. Not exactly 2 day shipping, huh? The only reason I chose to order from them was the 2-day shipping because my puppy was suffering so much and there was no place locally that carried Comfortis. I do not believe this business is affiliated with Walmart. As their website states, the medication supposedly gets delivered within 48 hours. My delivery did not come until over a week later. When the medication arrived, the box was crushed up along with the prescription bottle for medications. I did not trust the contents of the box and bottle. I went online to cancel the prescriptions yesterday and, although ordering had been a seamless and completely online process, they do not allow you to cancel any order online. If I could give ZERO stars I would. For the last 3 months I've had to call to chase down whether or not my prescriptions were being refilled. 1. They don't know if they have 2 day shipping. It's all over the website, but you'll Don't get me started on whether or not they have 2 day shipping- no one seems to know. But it's all over the website and half of their reps will say it's wrong. Now back to prescription refills- they don't notify you if something is out of stock, waiting on approval or what have you. I've had to call multiple times each month. Right now I'm on my 6th call. First I was told go change the prescription- ummmm...am I a vet? am I a pharmacist? Am I a dr? Then I was told that they were out of one of the meds which is why NOTHING had shipped. Then I was told they had one on hand for me but now they didn't have approval. But they had gotten the prescription change (which I'm assuming required approval from the vet).
