She told me where I could find the glasses if I were to come in, and assured me they had a variety of strengths. Ten minutes later I was in purchasing glasses (they saved the day), and she and a gentleman were behind the register and were incredibly personable and friendly. I've witnessed employees assaulted by coworkers who remained employed afterward. I've witnessed stores left with a single employee to run the floor, even though robberies and emergencies happen. You claim theft is hurting your business, yet I've watched used makeup accepted for return. I've watched open food refunded. I've watched broken jewelry refunded after a customer admitted she wore it until it broke. At the same time, food that is still safe to eat is pulled from shelves and thrown into the dumpster instead of being donated to people who need it. Then there are the hours. Hiring someone as "full-time" means nothing if they're scheduled 12 hours a week. People can't pay rent, buy groceries, afford medications, or support their families on promises. Many Walgreens employees work two or three jobs just to survive. Your employees deserve safe workplaces. They deserve adequate staffing. They deserve consistent hours. I have mixed feelings about this Walmart Neighborhood Market. On the plus side, it is the closest…read moresupermarket to my home. It has the best prices for the food and snacks my dog likes, has good prices on the medical supplies I buy monthly, and I recently discovered they now carry Guinness in bottles and cans. They also have plenty of self checkout stands and I hardly ever have to wait to check out. But one part about the checkout brings me to the negatives. The single biggest negative is that Walmart does not accept Apple Pay so I have to dig out a physical credit card to pay. And I refuse to use their funky Walmart pay system with QR codes. So I shop here once a month for dog stuff, medical supplies, and Guinness, and make most of my grocery purchases at Baker's, Target or Hy-Vee since they all take Apple Pay.
