Two of the cashiers gladly helped me with my "rewards" card (different visits). Another time I stopped someone in the aisle for help. She patiently helped me select a suitable, medical adhesive. I noticed she was the manager. Checking me out was such an ENTHUSIASTIC cashier! Her name is MARI! She asked me for the reusable bag I was holding and gladly put my items in it for me. Such a delightful surprise! Mari's bubbly persona made my day. This kind of customer service ignites your feeling to go back again. It was three years since I had gone to this Long's Drugs due to the dissatisfaction in their pharmacy.

They have photo department deals that the two Longs in my neighborhood dont offer. The layout also seems different but you can easily find your way around the store. There usually weekly sales ads you might find useful. With online shopping at Amazon it cuts down the weekly shopping visits like before. That's probably why the closest Longs to my home recently closed. You can schedule your vaccine shots here as well as pick up your pharmacy orders if it's convenient for you.

Pharmacist Lorrie and her team of Sue and Nicolette are the backbone of the business. Friendly and genuinely caring people who are eager to help. Besides my prescriptions, I also pick up certain OTC items here. If they don't have it stocked, I'll place a phone order and within a day or two the items arrive. A highlight about this pharmacy is their free delivery service. You can arrange a time of delivery in person or on the phone. Along with her bright smile, Lorrie possesses a certain professional charisma that draws you in. She makes you feel comfortable and is easy to talk to. (I tend to talk too much) During my very first visit there, she took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me through a decision I was facing. Lorrie will also go over your prescriptions and explain how to take them. Whenever I buy an OTC product, she brings out several and explains each one. She is very patient and will repeat herself several times until I understand. I can't say enough about Newtown Square Pharmacy - they deserve more than 5 stars. I LOVE that it's super close to where I live, making it easy to get my yearly vaccinations for flu and COVID. You need to keep your eyes out for when it will happen as it's a one-day only event. I never miss it because you also get a swag bag! It usually comes with a variety of items like tissue, hand sanitizer, snacks, water bottle and just random items you may pick up at Longs. I book my appointment through the CVS app. I like that you can fill out most of your information through the app ahead of time to make your visit a little quicker. This year was difficult for me to book my COVID vaccination, though. For the drive thru option, it said I wasn't eligible to get it, but I was eligible to get it in-store. So I booked my flu shot for the drive thru so I could get my swag bag and then parked right after to go in the store to get my COVID shot. Both appointments were made on the app back to back. Even though there was a little bit of a wait at the drive thru, I made it in time. Thank you Longs for providing this opportunity year after year. It's an easy way to get my vaccinations and you get a reward for it, too! It's always a big production that I appreciate their workers putting together for the community.

I like the Pearl City Walmart and I appreciate the variety of items they carry as well as being able to find it at a cheaper price than other stores more than 50% of the time. I have military privileges at all island commissaries but FYI out of 26 food items for this past Thanksgiving, walmart had 23 of the 26 items priced cheaper. I was shocked on the one hand, as we are lead to believe that the commissary is cheaper but not when it comes to many items. This makes me happy for those who do not have the privilege. Every dollar saved feels like a dollar earned these days! Thanks Pearl City Walmart for your support and service to others and for showing that you support our military and our country.

Unfortunately, Walmart doesn't currently accept Apple Pay, but they do offer Walmart Pay through their app. By adding my card to the app, all I have to do at checkout is scan the QR code, and payment is completed instantly. It's been a real lifesaver on days when I've forgotten my wallet or just want a quicker checkout experience. It's not quite as seamless as Apple Pay, but once it's set up, it definitely saves time and makes shopping a lot easier. On this shopping trip, I was able to use Walmart Pay simply by downloading the app then adding my banking information in the app and voila, my groceries were paid. I am grateful to Walmart for having this option for customers like myself.

There is a little cubicle the pharmacist herds you into for privacy which I find silly but I'm sure necessary so no one sees your exposed shoulder. It's great to drop off your prescription and if you have to wait you can do your grocery shopping. If there are no items to weigh they can check your purchases through the register at the pharmacy. I always like to take advantage of this option if I have limited shopping to do. I have most of my prescriptions on automatic refill and their system is great. Call is made advising your order is ready for pickup and how long they can hold it for you. Haven't had one put back in inventory yet so they're very patient when traveling especially if you let them know. All the staff is great, courteous, efficient and often funny.
