Rude little girl at the photo counter doesn't seem to want to do her job. Waited five minutes when…read moreI can hear her right behind the half wall of order bins, I finally said hello and she sulks out a minute later to just look at me. I tell her I have a pickup and she just says what size. I tell her my name and that it's an online order, thinking she'll look it up, and she just asks what size again--more rudely this time. I tell her I have two 5X7 items and she asks my name again, guess she couldn't focus on anything until she knew the size. She hands me the photo envelop, saying nothing, and I notice there is no printed label and the handwritten price is wrong from what my online total was. I let her know and she just says the printer isn't working. Okay so she couldn't look up the order and get the correct price??? I show her the email confirmation and she writes a new price, again seeming annoyed at having to do her job. When I go to the counter to check out, the nicer lady there says, oh no, there's no label. I let her know the situation relayed by the other gal and this lady says something like, she should know better and I reply, well she's not very helpful. The lady just says, yeah she needs to work on her customer service. So this is a known issue? I know it's hard to find help these days, I guess you can't expect it to be good help. This Walgreens is decent 2 out of 5 times I go, thus the two stars. It's not the first time I've gotten lackluster service, but there are some good customer service associates there at times.

Wish I didn't have to give the one star Won't be going back customer service sucks and I don't…read moreunderstand why you would need an ID to return something that you have the receipt for showing that you purchased the item yeah sure if you don't have the receipt I can see or understand but if I have the receipt showing that I purchased the item you guys should return the item

This pharmacy repeatedly turns ordinary prescription problems into exhausting, unnecessary battles…read more Delays, insurance denials, inventory problems, and questions for prescribers happen at every pharmacy. The difference here is that there is always an excuse and rarely a solution. Staff frequently refuse to clearly explain what is wrong, what information is missing, or what anyone needs to do to fix it. Patients are told to contact the prescriber or insurance company while being given so little information that no one knows what question needs to be answered. There also appears to be no meaningful attempt to prioritize time-sensitive prescriptions. Someone leaving surgery, the emergency room, urgent care, or treatment for an infection, respiratory problem, sexual assault, abuse, or another urgent situation seems to be handled no differently from a routine refill. Near closing time, the apparent answer is often that the patient can wait until the next day, even when the prescriber sent the medication because it was supposed to be started immediately. During one urgent prescription problem, staff claimed they had contacted the medical office, but the provider received nothing. When asked what number they were using during another supposed attempt, the employee said they did not know. Staff still would not explain what clarification was needed. We were left acting as messengers while everyone guessed what the pharmacy wanted. This is part of a larger pattern. Staff have said prescriptions were missing even when providers could confirm successful electronic transmission. Coverage and NDC issues are pushed back onto patients without meaningful help identifying a covered manufacturer or alternative. Staff have directly said they were too busy and did not have enough employees to help determine how to get a medication properly covered. If a patient asked how to escalate a concern above the store level, they are told to "Google it." There is also very little transparency when medication is out of stock. Patients may simply be told that it has to be ordered, with no clear explanation of how much is available, when the remainder is expected, whether a partial fill is possible, or whether another nearby location has it and the patient has to aggressively advocate for their medications.  For regularly prescribed medications, repeated stock shortages raise an obvious question: why is the pharmacy not maintaining enough inventory for medications it knows its established patients receive every month? That matters even more in Central Oregon. We are too far from Portland to treat every medication shortage as a minor inconvenience. Patients should not have to wait for prescriptions to come from Portland while hoping mountain roads remain open and are not disrupted by snow, ice, wildfire, smoke, or other regional conditions. That attitude sums up this pharmacy. Staff appear to believe their responsibility ends once a problem appears on the screen, even when they are the only people with access to the rejection details, billing system, inventory, manufacturer information, NDC numbers, and stock information needed to solve it. There is little ownership, little problem-solving, and no apparent concern about whether the patient ultimately receives the medication. Patients should not be expected to become experts in prescription billing just to obtain medication that has already been prescribed. Most people do not know what an NDC is, why one manufacturer may be covered while another is denied, how to interpret a rejection, whether a partial fill is permitted, or what information to request from an insurance company. A pharmacy should help patients navigate that system, not simply send them away to figure it out themselves. The attitude is often worse than the delay. Staff frequently appear irritated that patients are asking questions, even when only the pharmacy can identify what is holding up the prescription. Visible distress has sometimes been met with indifference or apparent amusement rather than professionalism, literally mocking patients. Requests for basic assistance, contact information, or escalation are treated like unreasonable demands. Reviews going back several years describe the same basic problems: prescriptions delayed for days or weeks, failed transfers, inaccurate pickup times, missing electronic prescriptions, rude responses, and patients being forced to repeatedly involve their doctors. Multiple reviewers have also described staff laughing at, belittling, or mocking people who were already in pain or distress. That is not a one-time service failure. It suggests a longstanding culture problem. One reviewer reported that a pharmacist said the pharmacy had too many customers and some needed to leave. Based on my experience, that attitude appears to continue. Rather than improving communication, stocking medications appropriately, or helping solve problems, staff often seem apathetic. Zero stars!
