I have been patronizing this store for decades, from time to time. I never had a bad experience in…read morethe past, but perhaps the place is under new management, because I didn't see the older gentlemen I used to deal with. One of their employees took a digital passport photo for me that seemed OK when she showed me a preview on her camera, but when I received the file later that evening (this was on a Friday) there were things I didn't like about it, notably that I was badly positioned and appeared to be looking up at the camera instead of straight at it (it was also very unflattering!) I quickly emailed back that I would appreciate a re-take, and the message I received back said, I quote, "You can come in to have as many as you want taken - anytime." I thought, that's nice of them (but normal, since it's just a digital photo that I already paid $15 for). However, when I went back for a retake, the owner (or manager) was rude and defensive and refused to take it again. He said things like "Haven't you ever seen a passport picture?" and said of course I could have as many pictures taken as I wanted, but I'd have to pay. Reading through the reviews, I see that some other folks had a similar experience at this store (rude employee--the guy I dealt with sounds like "Mike," mentioned in James M's review--and bad passport pictures). I wasted my money and had an unpleasant exchange with the owner/manager to boot (he told me he didn't care if I never came back). You are better off going down the street to Cameras Etc.; they have better customer relations and they charge less for passport photos.

Through the help of DNA and genealogy work I have discovered so many interesting connections and the little footprints and breadcrumbs left by my relatives for someone later on down the road to find... Finding Jim at the Leesport Market was a blessing! He brought both portraits and small snapshots to life again! Meeting my lost family I was able to see (pictures for the first time EVER) of my Great Grandmother's face, they also had several never before seen photos of my Grandmother when she was young along with her long lost sister, aunts and other family... Jim you are such a kind, honest and talented man... Thank you for sharing your gift with my family and others! The condition of my photos were a mix including the following issues: - Some were torn, discolored, faded, becoming brittle to touch- I was happy to see new life brought back into these photos with natural color enhancements added to some. - Some photos were very small snapshots that were hard to identify the faces due to size and age - we were so excited to see these made into regular size 4x6 and 5x7 photos and see the cute details such as a flower being held in my grandmothers mouth - Other photo challenges was the balance between light/dark this made it hard to focus in on the faces of in the photo- I loved that Jim was able to correct the lighting/contrast of the photos and keep everything looking natural, if not better than the original. All of my photos were over 100+ years old and these will now be able to be enjoyed for years and years to come! I still get goosebumps looking at these photos! They are priceless and mean more to me than any other possession. The care and appreciation for restoring family history is beyond measure! All I can say is GO SEE JIM! Fast forward to the last two weeks, I had the time to go to the Best Buy in Christiana to see if I could hear the Marantz Cinema 30 system. They didn't have one on display but the associate (Rocky) talked with me about 45 minutes helping me understand the pros and cons of upgrading the AVR or speakers I have. Walked out feeling I was ready to make a decision and this is where things got interesting. I spoke with Marantz (yeah, I'm that customer) and wanted to know more about a recertified Cinema 30 they had compared to one that Best Buy showed in their inventory. The only difference was the extra warranty option Best Buy has and the key fact that if something went wrong, Best Buy would protect your investment with the same value you purchased for. Marantz wanted me to buy from them direct and offered me a discount on any item (new or recertified). Out of respect for Rocky assisting me for over 45 mins I went back to Best Buy to see if by chance they could price match what Marantz offered. 9 times out of 10, no, but Rocky took my request up the chain of command and came back with a surprising Yes. This review is because this man spent 3 hours and 45 mins with me over two separate days, without knowing If I would buy the system. On top of that, they don't get commission. So for what I saved combined with the amount of time and professionalism he showed me, I am happy to say I'm now the owner of a Brand New Marantz Cinema 30 receiver.

Went back today to purchase matching earrings and/or ring & have never met a ruder woman in my life. First she demanded I show her what case the piece came from & when I wasn't sure between 2 cases she got nastier yet. I showed her a photo of the piece I purchased day before (at her shop!) & she screamed at me that it was not peridot in a pendant containing two stones of which one was definitely peridot (I had tried to verbally describe & could not remember the name of the stone that wasn't peridot) . With raised voice & ugly behavior when I was trying to give more business to her store - then to top the cake she yelled she was going to find out who worked the day before as she did not allow photography in her store. I stated I took the photo after purchasing - at my hotel room (to send to my sister as I loved the piece so much) & said she was rude & that she had the worse customer service I have ever seen. It was honestly like something out of a bad movie. Then I left & spent several hundred elsewhere - some very cute & unique pieces with a horrible person at the desk.
