It's so unfortunate how you're treated at Walmart Santa Fe is Limited to places to shop unfortunately we have to choose this place. I guess let me just say what happened. I drop my jar of pickles as I left the store. It was outside came back hopefully thinking well probably just give me another one I just brought. I cleaned up my mess.Hoping they would replace. This young man went in and asked if they could replace it. He went in to returns back area and right back out. He said no they said as soon as you leave the door, we don't have anything to do with it. No manager came out. No one came out to explain their policy. It's as if they just didn't care well obviously they didn't care. Oh well all I'm saying is be a better person. Come out. Let people know. Don't make them feel like you already bought. spent your money here and now get out of here. That's how I felt. read more

The Santa Fe Walmart on Cerrillos was the worst experience I have ever had at any Walmart. The attitudes of the employees were horrendous. They seemed to go out of their way to NOT be helpful. There was not a single human being checker, and apparently from the sound of things, there never is at that store. If the self check things worked well it would be one thing, but that was a disaster too. They don't accept paying with anything but a physical plastic credit card. They said, "We don't do 'tapping' here." And to top it off no plastic bags, just old fashioned paper bags, so your wet stuff can soak through and everything fall out the bottom of the worthless paper bags. If that was the first and only time I had ever been to a Walmart I would absoposilutely NEVER go back. I will still shop at our local Buckeye, AZ, Walmart, but when I am on the road from now on it is Target for me. I don't care how much higher prices Target charges I am never putting myself through another disaster like the Santa Fe Walmart ever again. Am I alone in this? How do y'all feel about self check? I was racially profiled by staff today. Manager Jazmin did nothing but compound the issue by being very dismissive. Jazmin said my complaint would go unattended because she's never had a complaint. Let this be the first. It is understandable how her attitude trickled down to Mariah as if they were trained to have the exact same facial expression and demeanor. Filed a complaint with the ethics hot line. If I don't hear back, I'll take the next step to address this terrible, unfortunate interaction. read more

Wish zero stars was an option. I ordered a hardcover book that arrived damaged. I immediately initiated a return in accordance with the online policy, was furnished with a return bar code and told to take the book to the Customer Service counter in the store. In the store, I was informed books are not returnable because "people read them and then want their money back." I asked for a Manager and was told she (Mariah) was the Manager, and she wasn't going to accept the return. I asked for the Store Manager and was told she wasn't there and they couldn't tell me when she would be there. The only reason I will still shop at a Walmart is because "Muhammad" at the 1-800 number looked up the order and quickly issued a full refund. He profusely apologized for the Customer Service Manager's lack of good customer service...especially since the return/refund had already been approved via the online system. Customer service has a "not our problem" attitude. Security harasses and bullies customers. After shopping, I returned to my vehicle in the parking lot to organize purchases before returning to the Rocky Mountains for more camping. At this point, the roving security guard approached and asked my pregnant wife "who gave you permission to do this here?" After I explained that we were organizing and cleaning after shopping, the security guard said that in the future we need to ask his permission or management's permission to be in their parking lot because it's for customers only, clearly not understanding or caring. Furthermore, this is one of the only Walmart stores I've ever seen that does not allow for overnight parking. read more

Tonight my wife fell and hurt cut her knee when she slipped on a berry that was on the floor while employees just watched and did nothing to assist her. Another customer came and helped her off the floor. They asked for a manager and someone finally came and told her they would have to review the camera. They never came back. We have always viewed Walmart as a kind of" safe haven" when we are travelling. You can stop there and get the things you need and even park and stay overnight in your small travel trailer, if necessary. I have always done it. The Walmart in Santa Fe is different. The man working the parking lot told us to go to Home Depot parking lot. He said they would welcome us. Thank you" Home Depot". This store is beyond terrible. I hardly ever shop at a Walmart. Even in those years a friend of mine was on the Board of Directors of WMT, I would not shop at a Walmart. Today, while driving through, I stopped at the Walmart on Cerrillos in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The first red flag was the manner in which I was being eyed by the first staff members who saw me. It was as if I was being labelled a criminal. Perhaps indeed there are a lot of felons who shop at this Walmart, I have no idea. I was not dressed badly. I had driven about ten hours with a few breaks, having set off at 5:30am and arriving here at 5pm So I had not taken a shower nor shaved in 12 hours, granted. But I was not a mess. I have no tattoos. I was not wearing a hoodie. There was no pocket on my person that could possibly have concealed anything larger than a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. Second red flag, many of the rows have a series of completely white labels with NO LETTERING. There are supposed to be real words in English indicating what is in each row. I did not intend to spend more than fifteen minutes in the store, so I simply gave up looking for certain items that I am sure, at least in a generic sense, must be sold at Walmart. And, third red flag, one can't ask a Walmart employee to direct you, because either they are way, way too busy blabbing to another Walmart employee, or they just arrived from Guatemala and do not have a clue as to where anything is in the store. So, as I am searching where to check out, I heartily jumped into the first checkout #1 as there were no customers there. The checkout lady ended up I gather being underage, and she was not authorized to process a six pack. No biggie, right, there should be someone right nearby to handle it. But no. Fourth red flag. After several, several minutes, one slow-moving female Walmart employee ambled over with not a care in the world. But she also was not able to process the purchase. She was an adult. She seemed to have her own key card. PERO, MAS NADA. Maybe she is another sister of Xochitl. Finally a third woman agonizingly limped over and with no word of apology, and no sense of humor, after three attempts, finally processed the six-pack. Now, why in the world does Walmart employ a system that in effect required THREE employees to check out ONE customer VERY SLOWLY? Sam is turning over in his grave somewhere in Arkansas. Finally, let me point out this has got to be the dirtiest store I have ever walked into in my life. And I have been to La Habana, to Caracas, even to New Delhi (a destination I do NOT recommend if you are a clean freak), and the stores there definitively are cleaner than this Walmart. One gathers no one at WMT cares about this store. There is no supervision. There is no training of employees. There are no attitude adjustment efforts for the benefit of the employees (and hopefully the customers). Not a single employee demonstrated a helpful attitude. There is no effective health counseling, obviously, for the employees, as nearly all of them have BMIs well within if not beyond the OBESITY range. Really, WMT would be better off just shutting down this store. Hit the restart button. This is a PATHETICALLY BAD FAILURE. read more

The Worst Bathroom Ever! So we made a quick stop for some feminine products on our trip... I thought I would use the boys room while I waited for Donna... MISTAKE! Who runs this Walmart? It is NASTY! 3 stalls in the men's room: 1. Taped up door signaling out of order with duct tape! 2. So filthy, poop stained and graffiti engraved toilet seat, so not going there... 3. What would appear to be a homeless and mentally ill person sounded like he was arguing while dropping the siege with someone. 3251 Cerrillos Rd Santa Fe, NM 87507 SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO AVOID this location at all costs please. There are NO cashiers available, and lines are often up to more than 25 person per self-checkout. I made the mistake of going in to get a few things and was floored by how bad this location has deteriorated. There are no workers available to open any cases and the 4 there were stocking were completely overwhelmed and overworked. It must be a nightmare to have to work there when they are outnumbered by half the population of Santa Fe coming in. I asked one of the workers about their labor shortage to which she replied, "No one is applying to come and work." Part of that argument might be true but the rest of it falls on a multi-billion-dollar company that refuses to pay decent wages. Walmart has a net worth as of December 13, 2022 of $397.75B. There is NO excuse as to why there is such a disparity in labor. They keep cutting worker hours with zero benefits, no insurance and complete labor abuse. The best thing to do is boycott this company. Walmart's low prices are based on worker exploitation, the less you pay the less the workers make. No wonder no one wants to work there. read more

I purchased 3 bottles of Robert Mondavi Chardonnay at what I thought was a good price. The price on the SKU tag was $8.27. When I got home, I realized I had been charged $14.27 per bottle. I thought my bill looked a little high. I went back two days later, took a picture of the SKU sign and went to Service. The store manager told me she could not credit me the difference even with a receipt. But I could return the wine. I was shocked at the policy. It'll be a cold day before I buy there again. On principle, I plan on contacting Walmart corporate to apprise them of my displeasure. Maybe Sam Walton will do something. Imagine being able to return the bottles but not get a credit. 1. Tried to order online w/pick up at this store, page takes forever to load as there are so many adverts on it. I tried to buy a bike and at least 20 other bikes were advertized. WTF, no overkill filters here. Didn't matter because the pg refused to accept my info. To the phones. 2, Kid that answered the phone had no idea how to order a bicycle through the store and told me so. Advised me to order through Walmart central. Poor experience at this Walmart on our way to Taos for some skiing. Poor customer service over all. We were waiting to purchase some whiskey which is locked up behind some glass doors. We pressed the assistance button twice and no one came to assist us. We also approached a Walmart employee asking if she could help and she said she couldn't because she does not have the key, doesn't know who has it, and it has already been paged a couple of times. I went into the Wal-Mart on Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, NM recently and I was appalled! I witnessed a man pushing his "BIG" dog inside the grocery cart. It was NOT a service dog. One of the customers said he does that all the time, and she wasn't impressed either. She said "He takes his dog everywhere". ARE U KIDDING ME????!!!!! If you HAVE a service dog you are required to have a service vest on them. ANd they walk beside the owner. This is very unsanitary and I am sure it is a Health Code Violation. When I approahed the manager he said that I should email the corporate WALMART that there was nothing HE could do about it. This sets a VERY bad example and will only fuel the fire and become "THEIR STATUS QUO." Is this an acceptable practice for a store who handles food for the consumer, I THINK NOT! I used to love going to WalMart, sometimes just going in to look around, to see what was new in clothing, check out appliances. Now, I just go in to get what I need and check out. I DO NOT like that there are no cashiers any longer, or very few. It seems that the self-checkout has taken over. What that means is that shoppers are doing the work of the former checkers. But, we don't get paid and we don't get any benefits. Oh, wait, but neither do the part-time staff. At any rate, I've stopped doing self-checkout because that is not my job. The other thing I do not like is the Gestapo tactics at the doors, i.e., checking your receipt, looking over your bags. If something is not in a bag, they check it, and scan it. I took exception to that and asked that door stopper what was going on and why. He just points up to the sky and say "Corporate." One guy EVEN UNDER A CLEAR PLASTIC TUB, I guess to see if I had stolen anything. The nerve. So, I have a HUGE bag that will hold paper towels and toilet paper, so they don't have to scan them anymore. And, finally, the security truck that goes around and around always seems to be IN THE WAY when you are trying to go in, trying to park, and trying to leave. I DO NOT LIKE GOING TO SHOP AT WALMART ANYMORE. I have been shopping elsewhere when possible. Forget low prices. I'd rather have good customer service. Walmart is an empty shell of itself. I ordered a roaster oven on line to pick up at the store. A day after I ordered it I received a date for it to be available at the store. The order pickup area was in the rear of the store. They advertised on line" the quick way to shop." This is a huge lie. In the store in the pick up area nobody was around. There is a small computer screen you touch which is suppose to get someone to help. We pushed that screen for 45 minutes and never did anybody show up. I talked with 10 to 15 employees as they check in for work through the stock room directly behind the pickup area, nobody could help us, but some did say they would find someone. We and 3 other customers left without our purchase. Since I needed the roaster for the Thanksgiving Turkey, I came again the following day and had the same problem. After waiting 32 minutes pushing the screen for help, I finally got an employee to try to help. She was a very nice new employee who figured out the process which took over an additional hour. I saw my item there with my name on it, but this store had nobody there to help for pickup. I talked to the assistant manager, no manager was at the store just before Thanksgiving, who apologized for not having anybody there, then left without helping anybody there to help then left the customers in line behind me without helping them. I will never ever order anything on line to pick up at the Walmart store On Cerrillos, it is a joke and management does not care one bit. If you do have to order on line from Walmart pay to have it shipped to your home or buy elsewhere. read more
