Place is run like a joke. Worst Walmart in my area, and based on today, they might even get hit with a lawsuit.

Nice Wal-Mart, and the employees here are friendly and helpful. The Bakery was promoting Tiramisu cake today. "Lord, have mercy." It was so good. I'm impressed how good their cakes and bakery items are. You really can get everything from here, so I wasn't disappointed that I didn't make it to my regular store. Also, I had to stop by the pharmacy department and get some great assistance there, too. You can order online and have your items delivered to your car. Great Idea! Slugs of the world, like me, unite! Stop all that needless Vitamin D gathering by walking to your car then getting out to walk into this store. Use your trusty grocery pickup instead. Avoid that sun like the plague unless you're gazing at it through a a steering wheel waiting for your delivery to occur. Order up a minimum $35 pretax and you're off to the races. This means you can race to the "reserve slot" page where you pick your 1-hour pickup window. Show up in the general timeframe of that reservation to rake in the spoils of your online shopping trip. Don't think about how the app knows where you are as you check in from home, see it tell you estimated arrival time, then pull in to have it tell you "looks like you've arrived". I'm sure nothing big-brothery could happen with them knowing more accurately than your mother does where you are at all times. It's worth it when those blue crates roll out behind your friendly delivery associate, who will verify your name and whether you indeed approved those substitutions before throwing it all in the trunk (except your eggs which get to ride shotgun with you). No-hassle returns are easy on the app or site, and if you have some sub-par fruit you can return and probably just toss without needing to drive back to the store to return, all the while still getting the refund. Take that Vitamin D. If you do need to darken the door for some obscure non-pickup item like a plastic kiddie pool or a big screen TV, you'll probably see the same friendlies inside as out. I'll return because groceries don't last forever, ready to save more time and money, but the app already knew that the whole time, didn't it. And watching that big screen from the kiddie pool is sounding better by the minute. read more

It's a Walmart. It's a Supercenter. 5 stars for Walmart? Yes. Why? They sell almost everything and they are open 24 hours. Acworth, GA is not a "late night" town. It is nice to have a 7 days a week, 24 hours a day option for shopping. They have groceries (at good prices), they have a pharmacy and drug store items, clothing, housewares, tools, auto supplies, hunting & fishing supplies, electronics, TVs, video games, DVDs & Blu Ray disks, CDs, sporting goods, bicycles and much, much more. They have a large parking lot. The store gets busy and the lot fills up but I've never seen it full. The staff here is always friendly. It is a big store and it's sometimes hard to locate staff if you have a question but they always help me out when I can't find what I'm looking for. read more

First off it's great to know they're still a 24 hours store . This is one of the nicer looking locations . Depending on the location it can look loom and doom. I came here looking for photo paper after searching two Target ( sorry T) stores . I told myself this is my last trip if Walmart doesn't have photo paper I'm going to Amazon. Well, to my surprise I found the photo paper and the right size. I was happy because I didn't want to wait. Another surprise was the bathroom . It wasn't too shabby. It was well lit , didn't smell bad and there were touchless faucets. There were also hand dryers with powder . My hands were soft . The staff was friendly as well . I didn't stay for very long because I only wanted the photo paper . However, I will visit again . read more

Do not do the curbside pickup. I have had a nightmare of a time getting my refund this way. The managers also couldn't care less as the only compensation offered for waiting 30min at the drop off. I went to the online customer service pickup today. Sade was amazing!! My item was damaged and she called walmart customer service to obtain a replacement. After speaking with the rep on the phone, I opted to receive a refund because she had no idea how to replace the damaged item. I told Sade my issue with the rep over the phone and told her I would look elsewhere. She immediately apologized, gave me a water and a Walmart coupon for 10% off. I left the store and reordered my item from Walmart. Sade kept me from going elsewhere because of her unbelievable customer service. read more

Where else can you wear pajama's in public, look like you've been smoking meth all day, literally sample food without anyone caring-or daring to approach you, and go days without showering? WELCOME TO WALMART! This Walmart, almost like the Kennesaw location, makes me feel good about myself. I have all of my teeth, wear pants with a zipper and *gasp* a matching top and bonus, I am wearing shoes so of course I feel like Mrs. America walking the aisles. I can come in here with everything from convertible hair to a baseball hat and sweats and I always feel like I should be waving and kissing babies in the dairy section! Sure the meat is sketch, the vegetables are never fresh and the dairy will expire before you check out but come on! No one comes to Walmart for decent items. I dont think I have ever written about this wamart before. Because i truly go in for what i need and leave. Having said that , i now get to tell you that leaving has become more difficult. Friendly neighborhood Walmart. Overall, it's about standard Walmart fare. I shop here on the regular and the selection is quite doable. Cashiers I've interacted with tend to be friendly, including one time we got stuck at a register for awhile waiting for someone to look up a price-- our lovely cashier chatted with us and helped to pass the time. The parking lot is a bit different than I'm used to on the garden center side. It's got a wide pedestrian walkway area that sneaks up on you from around the corner if you're coming in from Kemp Ridge road and turn into the parking lot immediately. Their clearance aisle is a hot mess but sometimes holds some gems. Oftentimes seems like a lot of makeup, outdoor equipment, and some toys. read more

Not the dirtiest Walmart I've been in (the one in Kennesaw is pretty gross) not the nicest either. They usually have good help in the garden center, which is where I usually end up when I'm here. Tip:Never buy meat at Wallmart, ever. They spray some type of "flavor enhancer" on everything that does nothing but make the meat absorb water. It's gross and you pay more for H2O, not more protein. Pharmacy is pretty good here and relatively quick to fill a script. Usually no one available to help in electronics where you would think they would concentrate their help... read more

I don't really care for Wal-Marts to begin with, but this one was exceptionally bad. My mom loves Wal-Mart and I can't convince her otherwise. I've tried. On a recent trip down to visit, she wanted to go because she needed a new, and very basic laptop, and they had a few on sale for less than $200. I know enough to help her, so we didn't need a speciality store. Except for the friendliness you normally encounter at the speciality stores, that would have been nice... The kid that was "assisting" us was the most unfriendly and stand-offish person I think i have ever interacted with in a store. He spoke maybe 5 words to us, the rest were grunts and nods or head shakes whenever we asked a question. I can't even make up the level of rudeness we encountered with him. My mom asked some very specific questions like "do you all have a carry case for this" to have him shake his head no as he was walking away. On several occasions he turned around an turned his back to us to walk away as she was still talking! Seriously, you can't even say the words "No we don't". Words are a great way for associates to interact with customers, too bad this kid didn't care enough to use them with us. Later we were in another store that also sold basic laptops, and a worker actually spoke to us, he used words! We felt so respected, we bought one from his department and returned the other one we hadn't even opened yet to the most unfriendly Wal-Mart. (the funny part is we were talking to the friendly associate at the store down the road, and he said the other day another customer came in and was talking to him about a very similar experience they had at that Wal-Mart too.) read more

I've had terrible customer service in the sporting goods section. (I stood right in front of the employee at the checkout for a few minutes as she discussed what she was having for lunch. She looked at me, did not acknowledge I needed help and continued talking with her coworker.) I've had terrible customer service at the Customer Service desk. (seems ironic no?) And last time I shopped here, I was looking for an item in electronics....passed a group of 4 employees standing around, chatting, laughing, etc. Not one asked if I needed help as I wandered up and down the aisles trying to find what I needed. I will not be shopping at this location again if I can ever help it. My advice: hire employees that actually care more about their job, and less about chatting with their coworkers. read more

The best customer service I have ever experienced. I didn't know anything about the roku or which phone to get my 11 year old son and the young lady nova was extremely sweet and super helpful. As she was helping me I noticed she was the only one there. She took her time with me and someone else wasn't too happy about that. Another customer started to call her out her name and telling her to hurry the f^ up while in the process of helping me. She didn't disrespect him or anyone else and I really respect her approach to everything. She's great ! Everytime I shop here now I hope I run into her again !!! read more

Friendly store associates are very accessible and they store is very well kept. Unlike other locations I have never had to wait in long checkout lines. Parking is a bit challenging. However parking in general is a a pain at all superstores. read more

Not a big fan of wally-world. But they are starting to have better selections for those who are food conscience. Sadly this one no longer sells aldens organic icecream. Main reason why I will go down the road to somewhere else. Nor do they sell saltfish. Other then that, they are clean.. bathroom, parking lot. You can find just about anything you want at this store as it is well stocked and where else can you find such a variety of toys these days? However, what you won't find is much help. You are generally on your own as you prowl the aisles. And if you use the buy on line, pick up at the store feature you could be in for a miserable experience. Seldom, if ever, is there anyone at the desk, and you can ring that buzzer for a half hour at some points of the day but no one will answer. When someone does emerge from that creepy ill-lit area behind the counter he or she might act as if you are interrupting their day. I have encountered friendly, courteous staff on the floor...so not all experiences are so negative and some have been five star wonders. So, Walmart, get that pick-up desk in shape. Better lighting and some responsive staff would make a world of difference. read more

Just left this Walmart a few minutes ago. Checked out to the register with a large basket of items. Was walking towards the exit door where a Walmart employee was standing there in a yellow vest. He walked over in front of my cart that I was pushing put his hand on it to stop it and demanded to see my receipts. I asked him for what reason he then loudly in front of numerous other customers pointed to a large item in my basket and said I need to see if you paid for that or not. While at the same time other individuals and families were walking around he and I with large items in their basket who he did not even begin to look at. Spoke with the so-called manager Patsy who was absolutely useless and basically said oh well. This is a poorly run poorly managed store and I am beginning to believe that these random stops and demand for receipts is racially motivated. Judging from the one that stopped me and the manager that would prove very much to be the case. read more

shop here very often and have no complaints except parking. has always been difficult to get handicap parking spots. recently was made much worse by taking away handicap spots for grocery pick up spots. problem is now 10 spots are mostly vacant and handicap parking is almost non existent. today I rode around 10/15 minutes looking for a handicap spot and only 1 car was in grocery pickup( 9 vacant). finally I parked way down row past 2nd cart station and walked down to store. went I came out 20/30 minutes after shopping only one car in grocery pickup and it was leaving as I walked by. I am lucky I can still walk but my knees hurt and I get short of breath since I have heart issues so I need handicap parking. I trust someone will revisit the handicap parking shortage and address it. obviously someone made a big mistake in what was needed for grocery pickup. I like Walmart and hope I do not have to make decision to shop elsewhere because I can not find a handicap spot at the Acworth store near me. read more
