As far as Publix locations go, this one isn't the worst -- but it's not perfect either. The main issue I've run into is that sometimes items on sale aren't in stock. They do offer rainchecks, which helps, but I just wish they would plan a little better and stock more of the sale items up front. Outside of that, it's everything you expect from Publix: clean, well-staffed, and organized. A few times I've even had employees approach me directly to ask if I needed help finding anything, which is rare in most grocery stores. I think one time it might have even been a manager. That kind of attentiveness definitely stands out. What I appreciate most about this location is how the staff genuinely connect with customers. While checking out one day, I saw a cashier having a full conversation with a regular customer -- not rushed, not fake, but a real interaction. It's refreshing to see people treating their jobs like more than just a 9-to-5 task. That sense of community makes me keep coming back, even when they miss the mark on stocking sale items at times. read more

Honestly theres nothing special about this location. Its not bad but nothing special. I will say though the "international" isle is lacking. Often missing items I go in specifically fort hat - otherwise I shop elsewhere. Also it's worth nothing that their parking lot os pretty awful. Like many Publix it's bad but the epople are so agressive and rude and jsut so bad at being spacially aware. It kind of puts me in a bad mood before even entering which is a shame. I have never had much interaction with the Publix Bakery outside of scooping up premade cookies and cupcakes for work or a party...or the occasional cookie for myself, that is until now! We decided to use Publix for our upcoming wedding cake and cupcakes. The process has been very seamless and easy. The staff has done an excellent job of making sure this is one less thing I have to worry about leading up to the big day. We placed an order for a simple two tiered cake along with 36 cupcakes. After I placed the order, I needed to make a change and it was easy to do thanks to the staff! In addition to the ease of the process, the cost which is only $130, is equally great! I have always loved Publix for a variety of reasons and now I can add the Bakery to that list! This overall location is still a solid 4 stars until they get an update, but the Bakery is 5 stars all day! read more

So because this Publix is on my way to my destination, I stop here. Yes it's clean but the folks are not very customer oriented. If you are not doing anything in your area , why not help the next person??? The Mgr just standing conversation , while the sandwich maker need help... OMG , I need a new Publix....So I'm still waiting to get a sandwich made no one on the line but myself, 4 people walk up to the Hot meals and automatically a worker shows up. He did peep me standing on the Deli line but did not acknowledge me at all but with a side eye. Whew I really hate to go to a different reason why I wasn't helped, because this is a mixed neighborhood.... I come early so if it's a long wait , I'm still on time to where I'm going. I just called to get automatic refills on my prescriptions since you can't do it from the app. Someone in the pharmacy department answered the phone with an attitude and all I said was yes hello I'm calling to get my refills. Before I could finish I hear music and the phone is being transferred to someone else. If she never answered the phone the way she did I would have thought it was a mistake but it wasn't. That was very rude to just transfer me mid sentence while I'm talking. The next person that helped me was very nice. I come here often and everyone has always been so sweet and helpful. I had the privilege of dealing with Libby the pharmacist today. In getting ready to go out of the country for an extended amount of time, Libby was extremely helpful in making sure I will not be without all my important medications. I have been shopping at this Publix since it opened. Great location but they don't carry a lot of things that other stores do. My main issue is the deli. Whatever you do don't order online for store pickup. it will never be ready. Twice now I have ordered a sub and arrived at the time I scheduled and hung around for 20 minutes with no sub. They don't fulfill online orders adequately . And I usually order 45 minutes ahead of time. Both times walked out with no food after 20 minutes of standing by the deli with no eye contact from the staff. read more

Pros: proximity, smaller size, newer, friendly employees, stuff is fresh Cons: employees have no clue what they carry or where anything is stocked, brands/products don't seem to have continuity (i.e. they carry something for a couple months and then -poof- it just disappears), produce is ridiculously priced, and WHERE THE TINY CARTS, MAN?!? We're not all shopping for a fam of five. Update: Why does it take 8min for a sub to be made, esp. when there are 3 people behind the deli doing JUST sandwiches? And for real: it's been a year. Where are the tiny carts? If I could give this Publix no stars I would. In particular the bakery section. I've gone multiple times and it's always the same terrible attitudes from the staff. Not only that they clearly don't practice hygiene either, the women who was handling my petite cakes decided to pick up her cell phone while grabbing the cakes and continued to touch her phone. I took the cakes out of fear of angering the staff but I should of honestly left it there. I will definitely not be going back to this Publix. read more

It is the most convenient & closest to my new residence, & so I gave it ample opportunity to grow on me hoping for that one interaction with the one associate who will bring back that Publix feel & reset my impression of this store. Yet I walk out every time feeling weird. -Never enough lanes open during peak hrs. -Cashiers carry on with the least sincere greeting, reciting the 2 key questions, & behaving as if their position is beneath them -employees running & screaming across the parking lot like kids on recess. -receipts do not provide a link to leave feedback on Publix's site to find direct resolution. I like this new store. It is well laid out, nicely stocked and I find the prices reasonable. Best Part- Who knew Santa shopped here? I ran into him while he was buying fried chicken! -Traffic Nightmare- My only concern is there are only a few exits for the whole complex. The exits are narrow and cars back up into the lot. This will only get worse when the 290 apartments and other retailers move in. The Spring/ Concord/ Atlanta Rd intersection is already congested. This review is for the bakery at the Duval Station Publix. They do not appear to be short of staff, but they were unable to complete a very simple birthday cake order. Among other things, the cake did not have Happy Birthday written on it.. The reason? They said the ticket instructions were unclear. The instructions were written by their staff. If the reason is that they were short of staff, they could have told me. I could have ordered the cake elsewhere. read more

Literally waited 20 minutes in line while one person was ordering a sub and finally when it's my turn the person in the deli tells me they don't have any chicken tenders left to make a sub. This was an absolute lie as I could see 20 chicken fingers in the back just sitting there. I don't come here often because I hate food shopping so I always send my wife. However, my experience here was great compared to how I feel at Walmarts. Not saying there is anything wrong with Walmart. In fact that's where I do most of my shopping if I don't want to wait for an amazon delivery. All I'm saying is that even though there were a lot of people here, it was still very clean. They were stocked. I actually saw the store manager walking around fixing the things on the shelves so that you wouldn't have to reach far back to grab something. Everyone seemed extremely cheerful and happy they were there. Which I mean maybe I came in right after shift change lol. The only thing that sucked was that the parking lot was full, but that's because people like to come here...duh. As far as prices go. I don't know I would say they are about the same as anywhere else here in this state. I'm used to being able to go to food lion in Virginia where I got a discount for pretty much everything because I had the free food lion card. But yeah this place is super convenient, and they also have a pharmacy. I actually got my flu shot here in the middle of the afternoon with no wait. I'll drop you guys some pictures. Hope this helps. Publix is always nice, friendly, and clean. Will agree this Publix is not run very efficiently. Most people don't know where to find things. I've seen employees putting items in the wrong spot just because they can't figure out where it goes originally. Lastly, multiple times trying the online easy ordering at the deli and every time it's not ready. They don't look at the tickets and prepare the items and it's very frustrating to wait an hour to pick up a sandwich to see they never looked at the orders in the first place. read more

Worst sandwich experience ever. Ordered online for 11:35 am pick-up, got there at 11:35, asked for my sandwich and was told they did not see the order until then. A few minutes later I was brought someone else's order, I told the lady my name is Brandon and she was handing me Harry's order (as per the name on label). She said the sandwich is right it's just the wrong label. I told her I had three sandwiches at which point she returned to the back. A little after 12 she emerged again with three sandwiches this time. I went home to discover none of the sandwiches had cheese, and my wife's veggie was only jalapenos and oregano and completely inedible. I had to mention it to someone, apparently it got overlooked. Then when I get home- sandwich is all wrong. I won't do that again. I love Publix in general, but I love this particular store! Let me say that I have visited at least once a week since their opening, and the customer service is ridiculously amazing! Every time I have walked in the store, I have seen at least one if not two or more managers walking around. Perhaps they are not managers, but the white collared bottom down shirt and dress pants are a dead give away. Some are dressed in suits. Either way, management is visible each time I stop by. Not only are they visible, they are kind, outgoing, and personable. They always speak. As a matter of fact, every single employee in the store acknowledges you and asks of you need help or starts up a conversation with you. It is so refreshing. I did purchase some prepackaged chicken a few weeks ago. I always buy the same chicken which is 9.99 for a 24 oz bag. That week, there was a sign that said it was on sale for 7.99. This happens every so often. So, not needing any, I purchased some chicken anyway. Once home, I realized I paid $10.04 for the bag of chicken. I drove back up with my receipt. The manager at the service desk was beyond polite, helpful, personable, and apologetic. The chicken was supposed to be $7.99. He refunded the entire amount which was beyond what I expected. Great store! I hope the cleanliness and stellat customer service are here to stay after the newness wears away! read more

I absolutely love Publix but this location just rubs me the wrong way, the deli is always closing down at 7:59pm sharp when the store doesn't close until 10pm. I have tried to like this Publix because it is in walking distance but they have continued to let me down. At first it was the lack of sides after a certain hour even though they were still open for 2 hours. Today it was just horrible customer service. I understand that you are busy but at acknowledge the fact that I am standing there. I just wanted some baked chicken wings which there were 2 trays of. The employee did not say hi by or screw off until I called them out on that. Even after being told that some one was coming to help no sign of any one. I want to start off by saying I LOVE Publix. However, this Publix is different. I go to this location because it's literally down the road from us. The manager of the store (the lady) is pretty rude. It's impossible to get a sandwich there in under 10 mins - and they don't care. But the big issue I have is with the bakery. I have never ever had issues at any other location and this includes locations out of state. We have someone with an allergy and we COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND that THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE ALLERGEN WON'T BE PRESENT. So when we place an order we just let them know, and they usually make a note and we never have a problem. They let us know they can't guarantee and all that jazz. But for some reason the lady who bakes/decorates the cake always tells me no. Just straight out no, that she is not going to be careful and no she won't write down the note. I've asked to speak to the bakery manager and he got very defensive because "she is their best decorator." He was rude and didn't seem to care. I've canceled my order twice (because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt). I'm glad they are more worried about decorations then just a small note and a bit of caution for someone. Great location, great quality, great service! Staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. A lot of great "ready-to-cook" dinners in the meat and seafood dept. They offer fresh sushi as well.
