They had hand/shopping cart wipes and the store was really neat and clean, and, as others said, staff at any Publix I've been in are always very friendly and helpful! I noticed they had an abundance of "grab and go items," and somehow, I never saw the deli or the customer service area. I think the customer service desk is a hard right as you enter the store. What I really love is the Publix app. I haven't used all the features, (preloading coupons, making a shopping list, shopping the sale items via the app., etc.) I **do** love the app's touchless payment option! Just load your payment(s) (for me, that's my Visa to pay for grocery items and my FHSA card for prescription/OTC items) and you scan (or as I call it - take a picture of) the Q-code on the payment screen and voila! You've paid, and the app obtains and retains the purchase receipt. Touchless and cool. A lot of the Publix staff are not familiar with the app., and sometimes they struggle to complete the transaction, even though I announce "I am paying with the Publix app" and show them. This may add a few minutes to the transaction, and once, I had trouble scanning the Q-code due to the Plexiglass partition, but finally made it work. This is a nice Publix and I'm happy it's nearby in Clift Farms!

They have a nice selection of food and grocery items, though not as much as you might find at a larger supermarket chain like Kroger or Publix. I do like that you can find more regional brands and merchandise that you might not find in those before mentioned supermarkets. If you are in the Priceville, Alabama area, I would recommend coming to this particular Foodland.

Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This store has gone so far downhill in the last two or so years. This week alone I found a bug…read morecrawling inside a cake package at the deli, a bug in a package of strawberries, an out of date refrigerated pasta sauce, an opened pain reliever, and have been overcharged for sushi on Sushi Wednesday. The pharmacy drive through is slow af most of the time. Inside and out they require your birth date, address, and signature to pick up your medicine. One of these should be sufficient. The deli is slow and doesn't stay stocked half the time with popcorn chicken and sides. The prepared foods in the refrigerated case are hit or miss plus a lot of the items are not secured on both sides. It's gotten to where I don't trust anything from there. God how I wish there was another grocery store to choose from that's not so far out of my way especially when driving to work.

The Heinz beans from the UK are being sold for a limited time. I purchased extra the last time I went. I was paying about $5 a can at Publix. I The other find I saw was leaf kimchi. This is gold. It tastes like your Umma made it. The regular kimchi Costco sells is sliced. I am used to slicing the fermented Napa cabbages each time versus opening a container and having pieces. This new green leaf kimchi has a great flavor. After it was opened, it started to sour which is normal. I made fried rice with it and it was great. The kimchi needs to really sour before I can make soondubu jigae. Yum! If you haven't been to Costco, please go with a friend who is a member so you can see all the cool merchandise they have to offer. 5/5

I want to highlight about my experience during an emergency this Sunday at Costco tires…read more We had an emergency: our tires were ripped on our way to drop my wife off for a marathon at 6:00 a.m. We somehow changed to the spares and frantically booked an appointment nearby. The earliest available was at 11:30 a.m. Hoping against hope, we went to see if we could get an earlier appointment at around 9.30 AM. This is when we met Rob, who was godsent. He was beyond amazing in understanding our problem and helping us through this. At 9.30 am, he not only checked for our tires in the inventory but also moved our appointment to 10 AM and made sure that it was properly aligned and ready for the trip. We also made it back on time to see my wife cross the finish line :) Once again, thanks to Rob and the team's amazing service. We are beyond happy and thankful for their service. Yet another example how Costco takes care of its members and its amazing value for customers.

I worked here for years back when it was managed by…read moreThrasher Oil Company (who I assume owned it as well as managed it) and it was a one person run bullet-proof operation that sold gas and cigarettes from a tiny booth. It was a bonus that Huntsville Police would drive by and visit/check on us girls while we worked. Morning shift started at 6 AM and the store closed at 10 PM. We had to manually read and log the numbers from each gas pump, and it was nice to have the Police around during pump reading time right at closing. This Shell location was one of approximately 12 that we girls rotated working at, and they all had the same set up (bullet-proof glass, a slide out drawer for payment transactions, a safe in the floor, a back room full of cigarettes to keep the front cigarette area stocked, and a tiny restroom. Growing up around the corner on Holmes Avenue, I was happy this gas station "grew up" to be a full-service convenience store. It's located on the southwest side of the very busy intersection of University Drive and Jordan Lane.
