Ordered a cake from their website 3 weeks ago, the only customization was that we asked to change the colors of their original design. They called me this morning, the morning I was supposed to pick the cake up, saying that they couldn't make the cake because they ran out of boxes. I told them to please make the cake because it's very last minute to cancel and I will buy my own box from hobby lobby. I showed up with my own box and this is the cake they gave me. Lop-sided and looking nothing like the original. I asked for a discount because I had no time to get a new one from anywhere else before the event and they said that they already gave me a discount for not having boxes and they would not give me another discount on top of it. So today I went to the Walmart in Atwater, CA. I went to self checkout like I always do. And scanned my items in the cart (like I always do) Costco style. But this time was very different. Every item I scanned beeped like it was supposed to. And then the screen said I needed an associate. She told me several items didn't scan. I told her every item beeped. She was very kind and said. Yes, it will beep​​ even if it doesn't scan. I was VERY embarrassed looking like I had done something wrong. I walked out leaving behind all my item. I have been shopping at this Walmart for years and have never had a bad experience till now. I bought 2 replacement batteries for my sons ride on toy. One was a 6v and the other a 12v. When I got home I realized they had the wrong attachment and would not charge his toy. I go in to return them ( I never even opened the 12v and it was sealed with tape). There was a young gentleman and an older lady with long gray hair behind the counter. The older lady said she had to open them even though it was sealed when I bought it. She opened the 12v and it was a completely wrong battery. The lady told me she couldn't return it and it's not her fault. She advised me that I should have opened it before I bought it. This Walmart seems to think we are on their time. The line as you walk in, to the money center/ returns runs all the way out the door. Most of their merchandise is locked up. You ring the bell and no one ever comes. I have left empty handed plenty of times. Now every section is segregated. Corralled in, so you pay in each section. Don't forget anything or you will have to wait in yet another line to check out. Right next door is a well staffed super target. Returns are quick. And workers are pleasant. Also no need for a key for merchandise. read more

I purchased a money order at one Walmart and went to another to return it or cash it. The representative told me they could not return it for up to 10 days. I agreed to cash it instead, but the customer service representative, who had a Mohawk, was extremely rude and told me to "Return to the Walmart you purchased it from." After a back-and-forth of about ten minutes, with no supervisor or higher management coming to assist, I explained my limited transportation and disability, which made it impossible for me to return to the original Walmart. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they were on a lunch break, leaving no one to represent the company. After stepping aside, I was met with extreme hostility from private security and was escorted out of the store.
