Have great brands and very cute things! You definitely pay for what you get. I have Uggs and different clothing from there. Value is definitely there. However, customer service leaves A LOT to be desired. There is 1 gal there with no customer service skills. She rarely finds solutions for her customers and lacks in her communication skills. Not to mention the TERRIBLE return policy. They have items that are final sale but there is little to no signage about what is returnable or not. When you make a purchase they may or may not tell you something is final sale. Most of the time you will be offered equal exchange or store credit but rarely will receive a full refund. Do not recommend buying Christmas gifts here due to the return window being 14 days and things purchased in December need to be returned by December 24th! I definitely prefer the Merced store over the Atwater store just for the customer service experience. However, be absolutely sure about your purchase because it may be a challenge to be able to return, exchange. read more

My husband purchased a few items here for me for Christmas in Nov. 21, 2022. Unfortunately, the items didn't work out, so I attempted a return on January 6, 2023. I wasn't allowed to return the items because it was outside the 14 day return window, even though the items were Christmas gifts. When I told my husband not to shop there next year, he said he had asked about the return window at the time of purchase and was told they would put a note in the system that these were gifts and would be returnable. My mom called ahead of time to put on hold some shoes for her, they said they had her size. They informed her that she had to pay half of it now and the other half when she came to go pick them up so she paid half. When she drove half an hour to go pick up the shoes, they didn't tell her until she opened the box that the shoes were in kids sizes.... Went in early on the morning right when they opened to purchase a gift. MY GOD!!! Are they rude! When I entered an employee was on the floor and the other one on her cellphone. Not a hello or a welcome, it was so freken awkward. I went to go get what I was going to get, and when I paid, the girl was mad cause I asked for tissue paper! Mind u I spent over 100$! They are always rude and look like they get upset if u ask for help, and I'm always confused of who works there, they all look as raggedy as the next person all the time I go. This store has the great selection of beautiful clothes. They also have men and children's clothing. Customer service is excellent. It's hard to find a store nowadays where you can even find someone to help you, but at Envy you get special treatment from the minute you walk in to the time you walk out. I've been to the store before and I'm always amazed at the price of things. I honestly think they are just too expensive. But what is most a deterring is the customer service. I'll get a mechanical "hello, welcome" but no one ever goes out of their way to ask if you need anything. The employees are always on their phones and talking to each other and not offering any assistance. And the ONE time I actually did get offered some assistance, which was nice for a change, I was put off by their ridiculous return policy. What do you mean I can't return shoes if they don't fit well and only within 30 days without having been worn? Makes no sense whatsoever! I if I'm going to spend a ridiculous amount of money I want the guarantee that I can return an item. read more

I've had a great experience every time I go in this store, and I've been shopping here since I was in high school. They have a great selection of high end jeans, and typically a wide range of cute tops and other things. But what I have loved most is that every time I've gone in, all the staff has been super nice. The last time I went in I mentioned the event I was buying an outfit for - a few days later I got a handwritten thank you card in the mail thanking me for my business and saying they hoped I had a good time at my event. I thought that was so kind and not something you see very often! I love the fact that they went out of their way just to do that nice little gesture! read more

Worst customer service! Rude employees who are unwilling to help and look at you as if they are better than you. I bought shoes for a Christmas present and was told I could return them if they didn't fit. Then when I went back they told me I could not exchange them and I couldn't return for store credit. Finally another employee told the girl helping me that she should go see if they had the size I needed and just exchange them. So she did, after giving me the run around and attitude. I had a return and was not told that tags could not be removed. I removed the tags when I tried it on and had the tags in the bag. When I went to return it, a day later, I could not get my money back or even store credit!!! It was over $60 for one item that I am never going to wear! If you want a good deal on designer brands, come to Envy! Not only does she have high-end brands, she also carries low-end brands and non-name brand stuff, but always cute things! Always new merchandise, great sales, great selection. If you have a certain event to go to, come here first before going out of town or going to a boutique in Merced to avoid spending more money than you should. Darlene, the owner, you must get to know. She will be one of the best people to know. Not only is it a clothes store, but she has held events in the store in the past and they are always a blast. Become friends with them on Facebook; they post the new merchandise but also will let you know what sales are going on. When you go into the store, make sure you get on the mailing list and texting list, she sends out alerts when they have new merchandise in and current sales going on. It is open late, even on weekends, so if you need something to wear that night, you can go there and find something. They also will get your jeans hemmed if you need them to be (men and women). If your buttons fall off your jeans, she has replacements and will get them fixed for you. For men, women, AND kids, you can't go wrong here! read more

I recently shopped here to buy gifts and one of the gifts I purchased was defective, as far as how it was stitched and was only noticed after it was put on. I went into the store, provided the receipts and tags that became detached. Most stores would take a returns if these items were provided. I understand it's your store policy. However, I thought it was somewhat rude of the assistant manager to say an item is not defective, when it is obvious when it is tried on. Does this mean the person is defective and not the item? There was no exceptions made even though the item that was sold was faulty. On the day we went in to return the item, we were hoping for an exchange of the same item and planned to do additional shopping. I will no longer shop at this store or any other envy store. Even though you sell brands we like, it is not worth receiving poor customer service or buying defective items. read more

When this business first opened when I was in high school, I loved the idea that they had the name brands we couldn't find anywhere else (at that time, Ed hardy, true religion, etc). But my first experience was a bad one. They treated me as if I didn't have the money to pay for the items, they weren't friendly at all, and upon asking for help, they did a sigh, like I was a burden. Being the only brown person at the store at that time, where everyone else was white, did seem like racial profiling. They were talkative and sweet to the non people of color, but cold to myself and my brother. Made me never go back, even when I received a gift card, I never used it. read more

Loved the shop but couldn't stand the pushy sales girls. There were three of them in the tiny shop, it was uncomfortable, feeling them eye everything i picked up and tell me how cute it was. I know what i like and know how to ask for help when i need it, thank you very much. The selection, however, was great for the that size store; true religions, beaded tanks & dresses. Went to this store with my grandma and mom for a few things. When we left the store they tried accusing my grandmother of stealing some measly cheap tiara crown! When we asked them to show us the servailance camera to prove that they are falsely accusing us they saw the footage and it showed her putting it back on the shelf and us paying for our things leaving the store. They didn't even apologize for for their rude approach and ridiculous accusation. I've never been so offended in a store having them threaten me as if I'm some criminal which I am not! Pesky kids need to learn to do their job right and actually accuse people who are genuinely shoplifting instead of a couple of grown women paying for the stuff they want. read more

I have gone to this store about 7 times now thinking it would be different when not busy. Went in to exchange a pair of Uggs, I just needed a different size. They had no size available of any Uggs. They would only give me store credit, I don't wear teenager clothing, I just wanted a pair of Uggs that fit. When my boyfriend bought the Uggs they told him that I could exchange them or they would order me a pair. They could do neither, now what do you do with $200 in store credit that you would never purchase these clothes from. Plus the whole purpose was to get a pair of Uggs that now I can't get. Very disappointing, terrible customer service, nobody wanted to deal with the issue, they just kept saying I could get store credit, for what? I wouldn't buy anything here. I like the store because it has a pretty wide selection of designer jeans, I especially enjoy the tent sales--except for when I don't get the proper percentage off, which has happened at LEAST 3 times. I noticed it twice before leaving, the third time I was already home, so I called them and the woman who answered was very rude, I was trying to be friendly and explain the situation and she didn't really give a crap what I had to say-in the end she "credited" my account the $7 (not a lot I know, but a sale is a sale) and surprisingly (not) when k went to use it I had $1 of store credit! I trusted them to give them to give me my proper credit and was wrong, I was so embarrassed! I stopped shopping there, but just made my first purchase in merced and my experience was great-but I can't wait for them to get more of the designer brands. read more

Clothes are cute, albeit overpriced (but that's what you can expect at any boutique.) Expect to get the same quality shirt that's $20 at Forever 21 for $49.99 here. If you get something on sale, it's decent. The stars here are the jeans, I love designer jeans and they've got a pretty good selection. My main issue here is the salesgirls. They are either very nice, or very rude. There's no in between, and there seems to be a pretty questionable trend with who they're rude to. I first came in alone and they were all smiles, friendly, etc. A few minutes later my (Hispanic) husband and daughter walked in to join me and it was like the temperature in the room dropped 50 degrees. They dropped the smiles and suddenly were all up on us, everything we touched they'd be breathing down our necks, asking if we wanted them to keep it up front for us, as if we were gonna steal it. I've noticed that any time I come in alone they're usually friendly, but times I've brought my friends or family (who are mainly Hispanic or African American) we're basically treated like automatic shoplifters. So there's that. If you're willing to put up with the possibility of dealing with rude customer service in exchange for the cute clothes, then this is the place for you. read more
