I came to this Walmart for a money order so I only went to customer service and left. Walked up to customer service with only one person ahead of me which was not bad at all. The customer service area was clean and the associate who helped me was friendly. I love to see a smiling face when being helped my transaction was done quickly and I was out of there in no time. The lady in the face mask with glasses at self checkout will uncomfortably watch and profile you. im a young male, coming for ingredients for a work potluck. from the moment I came up to the register she swung around the corner, leaving other customers already checking out, to come watch me scan my items. I see her out of my peripheral, arms crossed as she stares. I go to do tap to pay with my debit card, before I can even register to insert instead when it didn't take, she blurts 'We don't do tap to pay'. I insert my card, pay, and go about my way. And Sammy was happy to check me out I would like to compliment them and make it known that they are excellent employees to take pride in their job and should be rewarded and acknowledged for their excellence and given a raise if possible. I'm from San Diego, California. Last night I got a purchase notification that I was purchasing stuff at Walmart. I knew my bank account was hacked and someone purchased expensive stuff in this store. I immediately closed my card info. The person was able to get the stuff that he bought. I claimed a dispute at my bank this morning and they returned the money into my account. I would still like this person to be caught. He is randomly doing this thing and I believe that he is an employee there. I said he, it's because he bought AirPods, and a play station gaming headpiece. I went into my Walmart app after I closed my card, he was still putting Apple Watch into the cart. But unable to purchase them, since I cancelled my card. I called the Walmart number provided in my email that I received and I spoke with Natalie, she just assured me that the good thing I did was cancelled my card. I would like this perpetrator be caught. Whoever he is. It's just sad that people are desperate. They wouldn't care about even if what they're doing is wrong. read more

the manager that was working fri the 17 of nov 2023 needs to learn their price match policy, her slow ass can read it online also. she claims Walmart sent them a letter "in the mail" that they can't price match the products that Walmart sell and ships, but yesterday in Avon Park they price matched the oil (needed one more gallon) which they been doing for years as long as sold by Walmart and shipped by Walmart. maybe she was just being racist cause it was a dark skin lady trying to purchase oil. either way maybe you guys can train her with some of the free time she has since you guys are too lazy to bag the groceries. read more

The deli was not clean the slicers was nasty and clearly not cleaned between each customer as it should have been! Then one of the deli people was rude and talking about me and my family as the other work cut our meat ending in her screaming at me in a different department making me feel unsafe as to come back to this store I have already called Corprate and am waiting to see if customers safety and comfort is a top priority to this company! read more

I had the receipt and it clearly shows the date was a few days ago. But because i bought it from another store they wouldn't honor the price. What a scam. Customer service at this store is the worst I've ever seen don't buy anything here. I bought a TV had to take back twice cause they quit working after 1 week and the 2nd time it lasted over 90 days bought warranty tried to return so my daughter could watch tv after her surgery they were cold and did not care. What happened to customer service. Plus they don't rotate their stock I have threw away several items that I bought come home and found it was stale and past expiration date. Good thing we have Publix and they care about their customers. Wal Mart does not care and their management is cold and heartless. They are not even worth the star I had to give them to post. Jasmine and Drea provided the worst customer service experience ever! I bought a dresser offline and picked it up from site to store at the Auburndale location. I do not live close to this location, so I decided to return it to the Bartow location. They were refusing to return the item initially. I then had to call Walmart customer service, they then told them I can return the item at any Walmart. They then tried to give me my money back on a store credit.However, I paid with cash for my purchase. Richard was the only one who knew what he was doing. He should be store manager as he was phenomenal. The last time I was at this Bartow location Drea did not know how to make a credit card payment and yet they have her as acting manager. Walmart needs to do better and retrain their staff. read more

This store has improved quite a bit in the last 5 months. A lot cleaner, the only problem i have is the heavy smell of grease they fry in. I can actually smell it coming out the doors when they open at least 20 ft into the parking lot. Plus lately they've been moving the food around again and I spend more time looking for things, especially in the frozen section. Pain in the butt! read more

The employees in this store a great. They've gone out of their way to help me at times. However, this is anything but a Supercenter. I have been buying certain products from this store for years, but suddenly they disappear, and never reappear! I have been in the habit recently of using the Supercenter in Winter Haven for my main shopping, and my Bartow location for just quick refills. read more

While this Walmart is better than the Mulberry Walmart it is not getting any awards from me. In the middle of a work day when customers are fewer than in the evening there is too much socializing and disarray in the store. I again was trying to locate an item that was not on the shelf though it showed online as in the store. The person who wore a tag "CUSTOMER SERVICE REP" or something like that seemed put out that I was needing customer service. However, she begrudgingly went with me to check on the item. She offered me a kiosk to review what I saw on line. The computers were so old and kept freezing up for both of us--it was going to be easier to go home and order it and come back and pick it up. As she worked behind the counter things fell out from underneath the counter and carts were overfull of returned merchandise (it was not a return counter.) The employees obviously don't clean up after themselves and don't keep their work area clean. It is a horrible reflection on them and Walmart. The girl disparaged the store, explaining she couldn't stand working that area any more and that's why she worked up front (due to the mess). I certainly would rather shop in a cleaner higher priced store than endure the runaround I get every time I go to Walmart. read more

The afternoon manager at this location displayed terrible customer service. Not only did he yell across the store today when The employee asked for his help assist he also came over with a condescending tone and refused to go and retrieve the items that I asked him for an instead decided to go to his office and close the door.I waited about five minutes and then asked if another employee could please go and ask him to retrieve the items that I asked him for originally. I believe that this manager is a terrible example to his subordinates and to the customers that supportthis store which is been a benchmark to this community since my grandfather raised seven children and Walmart was a constant staple for our family...I am terribly disappointed. read more
