I encountered an unpleasant associate in the clearance area. While looking through racks and using my mobile scan....a Very Very Rude Associates....said...Can I help you! I said no ( also note there were about 7 other women looking through racks as well but she felt she needed to say something too me!). Then she says, I saw you looking through racks and was not sure if you needed something! I thought if there is a rack of clothes....I had the right to look through racks! There is a video circulating on Facebook, where a cashier has her hands in the back of her pants. Very unsanitary! The customer alerted the manager of the store, but the manager's response was "maybe it's a cultural thing." Based on the video that is circulating, the customer approached The cashier and told her to go wash her hands. It is very disturbing that the manager on duty did not address this issue. I often frequent this store, but after seeing this, I will never patronize this location again as it is a severe public health hazard. read more

Crowded but well stocked and organized on Christmas Eve. I was surprised not to see long queues in front of the registers but it seemed like they actually had enough registers open for the level of customers shopping today. I went there to get an oil change last Saturday. The oil change took 2 1/2 hours. I was the 2nd person in line for oil change. The lady ahead of me called someone and he came and spoke to her. He said that they were training a new guy. There were 2 people working on tires and the new employee. Why not have one of the 2 do the oil changes?????? He also said that someone called in and someone else would be there in about 15 minutes. I finally got my oil change. I was standing at the counter and an employee was checking me out. Another employee came by and said, "Come on let me show you". This employee leaves me at the counter and says absolutely nothing. One of the tire guys (Patrick) comes in from the bay. I asked, "Are you the manager?" His response, "No, I am not". Patrick goes back to the bay. I'm still standing there along with 2 other customers. Patrick comes back and uses phone for something. I call the store number and describe my situation and request to speak to a manager. The Operator rings me through. At this point, Patrick hears me and decides to check me out. The store manager never answered the phone. I will never go there again. read more

Very let down by the horrendous service at the Belmont Walmart, ironically from the manager at the "customer service" help desk. I bought a gaming headset for my friend with a disability. We could not get them to work, but because we came back for an exchange just a few days past the 1 month return deadline, we were rudely dismissed. First off I really have to say that this quarantine has put a damper on my reviews. Things haven't been quite the same. Ok, so I rarely leave the house but I had to go to Wal-Mart to pick a items. When I first arrived there I knew that really needed a cart but none was available for a few of us that needed them but I do understand given the circumstances. I had to carry quite a few items in my hands but was amazingly surprised that they were pretty stocked given the fact that lately everything has been almost sold out. One of the employees saw that I was overwhelmed with the items in my hands and helped me out to the check out. This put a smile on my face knowing that what we've all been through that people at their core are decent and caring. read more

This was by far the worst experience here. I wanted to use the fitting rooms. 3 employees and the customers service department later...was told the fitting rooms were not open because that staff had went on break.!! Apparently no one else in the store has keys to the fitting rooms when covering breaks. This makes no sense to me. I eventually was able to use after someone ( another customer) crawled under the door to open. She wanted to try on something too. After I came out of the fitting room, the employee was back from break and had the nerve to ask me to put all my stuff back out on the floor because she was the only one working in that area!!! My review is for the Online Pickup Service. Because let's face it, Walmart is going to be Walmart so no need to do a general store review. I ordered a camping table online and used in-store pickup. It was going to take my table about 5 days to arrive and the table came on the expected delivery date, so I was happy about that. I used the text alert feature to get texts when my package was ready for pickup. While I was shopping in the store, I got a text alert that my order was ready. I checked out and then headed to the orange pickup area. I mean you can't miss the online pick up area, it's bright orange and there are tons of signs that say Online Pickup Here. Once in the area, I checked in using the kiosk. That was pretty easy. Once you check-in, you have a seat and a store employee will bring you your item. They even have free bottles water in the waiting area for online pickup customers. I thought that was a nice touch. I waited about 6 mins, an associate came by and asked how long we were waiting and I told her 6 mins and she said someone would be right with us. Then a nice associate brought out my package. I signed for it and left the store. Easy peasy pickup! read more

So I recently moved closer to this Walmart. Even prior to my move, I chose this Walmart over one that was a few miles closer. It's less busy than the Charlotte Walmart and the people seem friendlier. Their produce is not always the best nor the worst. Every time I ask for assistance locating an item, they are typically knowledgeable. Have 2 separate orders that were to be delivered to the store for pickup. FedEx says the products were delivered to the store a week ago. Online continues to say products are delayed and not ready for pickup. My credit card has already been charged. Called the store directly but nobody picks up the phone when I tried to speak to someone from "pickup". In addition, Walmart overcharged me for the associated sales tax on both orders! Currently do not have the products and cannot reach anyone from Walmart who can assist with status or tell me when I can expect to receive products already paid fork. On March 9th around 2pm me and my brother was stopped by the host at the door and was nothing but racially profiled. This woman took all of our items out of the bags and broke one of the sidewalk lights we've already payed for... As an former employee for the company I know for a fact that's not Walmart's policy. The host is supposed to ask for receipts when there's big items or bulk items. This woman held us there for almost 5 minutes trying to match every upc to our receipt. This was my first & last time at this Walmart. I felt belittled and also embarrassed to as if I didn't pay for my items. The woman was rude and she definitely isn't someone who should be greeting people as they enter to spend money with the company. I will be reaching out to corporate because I feel that this post will go over a few heads but rest assured this type of behavior needs to be stopped.... I'm reviewing curbside grocery pickup. I love it! Easy app to use to order and check in. Groceries are usually at car within 20 minutes - less if you " check in" on the app before leaving home. 95% of the time they have what I need. Substitutions are generally OK. A few times products ( such as produce) have not been good but they refunded on line. Loading personnel have been good and friendly. It has been a God-send during the pandemic. One more downside- some things you can't order online ( like the things still in short supply- app says come in the store. NOPE!). read more

I visit this Walmart location about twice a month, if not more. This one is a lot quieter than the Gastonia Walmart, and seems to have friendlier employees. About two weeks ago I had a disappointing visit. There were almost no fruits or vegetables. No sweet potatoes, blueberries, limes, or zucchini. What was left of the fruits and vegetables were a bad selection. The only grocery check out that was open was where people buy cigarettes and I feel bad when I have $200 worth of groceries holding up people who want a pack of cigarettes. Yesterday I tried the free grocery pick up. This option was amazing! The app let the employees know I was there and ready for my groceries. There were still no sweet potatoes this time. They did not have the size shampoo and conditioner I ordered, so they upped the size free of charge. The fruits and veggies were picked well. Lila was the employee who loaded my car of groceries. She was awesome and so friendly. She made me feel like a wanted customer and explained the process of the pick up so well. I think I will be doing the grocery pick up from now on. read more

I visited this Walmart today and made a trip to the restroom and believe me when say it was the nastiest restroom I have ever been in no tissue paper . There was even throw up in one of the sinks.I would have understood it better if the store was busy but it wasn't and the asst.manager that I spoke to there wasn't too concerned.
