Good selection but it's largely self serve We went to Church earlier and then to Cheddars for Sunday Brunch. Prior to Church, I had mentioned that I needed to pick up a new belt because the one I am currently wearing is beginning to fray. Never say this to a woman who has Kohl's Cash Coupons plus other Coupons because then they are in a feeding frenzy just like Sharks smelling blood. Original thought was to hit the Kohl's in Huntersville on the way back but she found out there was one close to the restaurant in Gastonia so I had little option. She had already been badgering me for my underwear size so she could get a new set so Kohl's was inevitable anyway. It's a well stocked store which is good but at the same time, they have cut back on the sales associates till it almost self serve. Heaven help you if you don't know where thing are located. Found the belts first and found a nice one with excellent quality and a good price. Bought it and may end up buying another in a slightly smaller size if I can hopefully loose a couple of pounds. Underwear was a bit more challenging because my size was not part of the primary display but on an end cap but found what was the right size. With the coupons and Kohl's Cash, it was a good saving overall. I personally thought the replacing the underwear to be low priority but apparently not to my wife. Not the next day but the day after, I went to dress and all of my old underwear had been discarded regardless of wear and had been replaced with the new. Kohls has the worst customer service and their online shopping is a scam!! I order about 9 items before going on vacation, things started arriving separately, sadly I never received 2 shirts I really wanted on my trip- I called and they said it was delivered I let them know it was NOT! They apologized and said they'd issue a refund- well 2 weeks later and NO refund, NO ITEMS, and no decent customer service just overseas call center that informed me that online items are often 3rd party items so difficult to get refund!!! I've applied for this employer months ago, I got an interview with them and then they didn't select me, month goes by I get an email for a google meet interview which was today 10/23. I waited on the google meet chat for about 10 mins ( I was on 5 minutes early ). The instructions in the email says to give the store a call if no one joins after 5 minutes. Call the store and girl over the phone says she'll get the manager( unfortunately I don't have his name), waited about 6 mins on hold then she comes back and says he'll be on in just a second. I' waited about 20 mins overall on the call and he didn't join. It's unprofessional and I definitely won't be applying to this store again. read more

I usually visit Kohls buying birthday presents, Christmas present and decor for my home. Well this evening I went to kohls with the intentions of returning an item to Amazon then experiencing some retail therapy when my trip was cut short. The girl behind the Amazon return desk never acknowledged my presence or asked me what I needed to return. She only continued on with her conversation with other worker and held her hand out for me to give her my slip. I felt ignored and as if I was bothering her. At the end of the return she handed me a coupon with return confirmation and still never said a word to me. I will be sure to keep the confirmation number however I got rid of the coupon. If Kohls wants to hire unprofessional staff that ignores customers this is not the store for me. read more

I love Kohl's online ordering and ship to store option. I use it often. I get most of my work attire from Kohl's. The thing I HATE is the customer service line at the back of the store where you pick up orders is always LONG!! It's long year round but during the holidays it's even longer and they DO NOT ADD ADDITIONAL STAFF. I see several employees roaming around but only 1 is at the counter. Super frustrating and poor customer service. Update on July 9, 2019: removing 2 stars. WHY is Kohl's customer service desk SO SUPER STINGY with bags?? I go in to pick up my online order. I literally have to ask them to give me a bag. And then when I do ask, they look at me like bags are in rare supply. Are bags sold in an underground market for big bucks these days? You should automatically give me a bag without me having to ask for it. read more

If you've read my review of the Kohl's on South Blvd and 485, you'll understand why this one got such a low score. Much like other department stores in Gastonia, it is clear that the department store districts don't put much effort in maintaining their locations in Gastonia. Most staff are usually helpful, however it can take an eternity to find a staff member to do anything, including helping to find/locate an item or even to check out. Having experienced other Kohl's, it almost makes me wonder why they bother with this location. I'm sure the business does well, people are always attracted to the constant "sale" tags even though they truly are not sales - they are mere mark downs from the never used suggested retail price. These items sell for the same price regardless of where you go. The selection here is ok - they've put as much as they can fit into the square footage. And, it shows. This chain is not known for fashionista organization.. However, it is interesting to note what else this chain carries just by visits to other stores. Location is good if you don't want to drive. I'm sure you'll find something that you can compromise with. If you can simply drive out of Gaston, do so. I'm sure you'll be happier. read more

I don't shop at Kohls often at all, but when I was in a bind they came through in a major way. My husband had planned out my sons birthday outfit to a "t". So I was looking for a specific colored button down, long sleeve, polo type shirt. Finding something that was reasonably priced was also important. I found a shirt online and did the site to store method which was efficient. I went and picked it up the same day, I assume because they had the shirt in stock at the store. Their in store pick up location is all the way in the back, so I got to see plenty of holidays deals they had on sale. I must admit I saw a lot that I wanted to pic up and was surprised at the reasonable prices. She merging that also stuck out to me were their digital pricing displays which I thought was so cool. I will definitely be back to do a bit of holiday shopping. read more

The store is neat, clean and well organized, even when it gets crazy towards the holidays. Apparently, we buy enough stuff there each year to be MVCs (Most Valuable Customers). The program doesn't have that many benefits but does have a couple of "name your sale" days. It is not uncommon for a sale to be almost always running; anywhere from 15-30% off. Some sales only apply of you purchase good with your Kohl's card. One nice thing is that you can stack online codes for purchases. Their clearance sections used to be a lot better (4-5 years ago) - bigger and better prices. Most of the regular prices are pretty inflated, so wait for good sale prices and then use your discount. There is a Kohl's Cash Program that can also earn you more discounts on future purchases. Pretty good place for gift shopping. read more

Return Disaster. Ordered shoes and two pairs did not fit. Took the shoes and receipt to the store to exchange for half a size bigger. I worked in retail for several years and it is a pretty simple concept. On my receipt, several pairs of shoes were missing. Also, the receipt would not scan. Fortunately, I kept the email as a proof of purchase. After finding my order, they would not let me exchange the shoes for a different size. They wanted me to return the shoes and go home to re-purchase the shoes online. They also did not want to refund the total amount because Kohl's Cash had been awarded. Overly complicated for a simple request. Next time I'm just going Nordstrom, where you can exchange and customer service is helpful. read more

Boring and overpriced, Kohls will reel you in with discounted prices that aren't really discounted, in reality the items are overpriced and then discounted to a more realistic price. The sales staff is really clueless but I feel bad for them because working in retail is difficult. If you decide to shop here for clothing, just stick to basics or make sure that you bring in coupons to lower the price on items purchased so that you really are saving some money, otherwise you can skip. read more

Granted, I hate going shopping the day after Christmas. But I wanted to spend some time with my girls. I had the day off and thought I would take something that was broken back and get the same thing. After standing in line for 30-40min. I get to the front and Star helps me. She tells me that the product that my mother bought was on sale when she bought it, but is no longer on sale therefore I need to pay the difference when I get the product and wait in line another 40 min or longer. I went and got the product and went to find a manager. She took me back to the customer service desk and took care of me. Star was very rude, but the manager I spoke with made me feel a lot better. The only reason I will go back is because of the manger. read more
