I know many…read moreyelpers have been wondering about the current state of the PRM, so without further ado, I'll review what's changed since my last visit in 2013. As it turns out, not much. Still clean, still empty, still disorienting. The Aeropostale that employed my sibling during happier times no longer exists. Price Real Estate and the nice men employed there are missing. Even the Master Cuts vanished. Why did people in Pocatello stop getting haircuts? Is post-2013 hipster culture to blame? It's not a good sign when the most utilitarian store in the mall disappears. This absence has ramifications not only for the mall but also for society at large--it's an issue worth exploring further. Theories? That said, the Bath and Body Works seemed to be heavily populated upon my visit, thank heavens. Per usual, using my arms as shields, I had to physically battle my way to the back of the store, narrowly escaping from the army of eager salespeople desperate to squirt lotion onto my exposed skin. Thankfully, I located a couple of gift bags with ease and purchased them for my cousins as quickly as possible. Another win was T Shirts Plus. My partner's really into college gear, so I decided to gift him with an Idaho State women's basketball shirt. The helpful employee told me that if I couldn't find the precise piece of college gear desired, he'd be happy to design and create a custom order for me. Now that's service, folks. The photo shows the current state of the courtyard. Surprisingly, the same woman there 8 years earlier was still there in 2021, looking hotter and younger...how weird is that. You'll notice that the army-green vinyl booth seats forming a child corral of sorts remain from 8 years earlier--not sure I want to take a seat on that. It appears they've upgraded the Pepsi machine and added a claw machine and a "Minimelts" dispenser. As stated earlier, Master Cuts has been replaced by something called "Diva G's," which was closed on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty dark back there so I didn't get a good look at what they sell. So it remains unclear what products divas really need to function in this day and age. You might also notice that a "Hurricane Simulator" pod has been added. Tell me about this business model. How many people in Chubbuck, Idaho, want to experience a hurricane on any given day? Go on, surprise me! As with everything in this mall, I worry about long-term profitability and the ability to keep the lights on in this cavernous, dated space. That said, I upgraded to three stars this time simply based on consistency of the experience. In this regard, the Pine Ridge Mall never disappoints.

I am still a member of this chain because my wife insists...A happy wife means husband does the Costco shopping ;). If you buy more than a pound or 2 of fruit in the same package you should still check it thoroughly as moldy/mushy fruits are pretty common whether you buy mandarin oranges or lemons. Some aftermarket car items and water and beverages like Gatorade or V8 are decently priced. Still no scan guns for self-check outs though. Entering annoying thing is to check in and to scan your card 7 times till it gets recognized. God forbid Costco invaders will enter with the Costco cards belonging to their relatives and accidentally spend extra few hundred dollars at Costco. Would not want this happening, would you? Latest disappointment was when I and kids decided we would like to grab a hotdog. I do not do this often, but I remember grabbing one with a friend few months ago. What's a big deal? Kids had a long day at medical appointments then helped me locating items at Costco, they do deserve some reward, right? Ladies at the counter tried their best to ignore me for quiet a while. They excelled in it better than a bartender or a waiter in Las Vegas who somehow perceives that he/she was not being tipped generously enough for their unceasing efforts if there is still such a thing. When one lady finally acknowledged my presence she only asked if it will be cash or card and referred me to self-serve kiosk. I can also go home and fry my own hotdog it is not a science or as we all decided on our way home better hotdogs and even condiments to go with them are sold at the local Maverik. Not cheaper, but so much better tasting and all we have to do is to pick up hot dog, bun and condiments and let the CLERK process the transaction before sliding the card. Last, but not least there were still no curbside pickup options last time I checked. Fred Meyer has their items much better systematized in their store and yet curbside pick up is offered. Wal-mart in Chubbuck also offers curbside pick up even though it is usually fairly slow ( 6-7 times slower on average compared to Fred Meyer). Yet it is offered and if you are disabled or can't move too fast or are unsure where the desired items are located it still makes sense. Sam's club offers curbside pick up. Costco does not :( .

I had a very small window of time today to get my hearing aids serviced. Now I will have to wait a few days. This might sound petty to some, but I'm really pissed off that they would deny me entry 1/2 hour early because I no-longer have their executive membership due to being laid off.

She was SO nice and friendly! Very personable - obviously I kept going back haha. The clothes there are pretty cute & very well priced. The only downside was having to try clothing on in the very back bathroom and there wasn't a full length mirror.

We had an amazing help from the automotive section we had loose lugnuts and they were able to fix…read morethem. All the automotive bays were filled and the employees were busy working with the line of cars and empty the bays. We had to wait for about 5 minutes for someone to come and assist us they quickly were able to fix the problem and a loud my friend who was driving to Double check the work. We appreciated that. Since it was a tire, that needed looking after. After we visited the automotive part of the store we parked out front saw a buggy I went to use and thank heaven my friend was there to help push me in the store. We saw a greeter and told them that the buggy was very low on battery and needed to be plugged in. We went to use our respective restrooms. I pleasantly surprised how clean smelling the bathroom was and each of the stalls were. Ie: the floors were clean of trash, toilets clean on the inside and outside bag hooks in each stall area were clean. The only complaint I have is that I have to use the larger stall and the bag hook was on the stall door. I had to bring my bag with me to the toilet because of my disabilities. After I used the my bag there was no place placed for me to hang it up or set down except on the ground of the stall. Which I didn't feel comfortable with doing.do I held onto it while using the toilet. It would be very helpful for someone with my disabilities and have a hook or a shelf near the toilet to set my bag on in arms reach of the toilet. Growing up in California, I really appreciate fresh fruits and vegetables (and I really do eat a lot of them). Kesler's is such a breath of fresh air when shopping for produce. I love that they have great weekly specials on apples and oranges, so that I can keep to my grad student budget! They even stock a great number of pantry and household items, allowing me to shop locally instead of having to drive all the the way into Pocatello for other products.

Produce quality is clearly best in town. Meat quality is better than average and they will do…read morespecial cuts for you if needed. In general prices are on the high side though they do have good sales. You need to watch the register as they ring up produce because it quite often is higher than the sales price listed at the bin or shelf.
