I show up for a grocery pick up and call the number on the sign. I get a recording with their hours for Christmas. It is the middle of April. The mailbox is full and I cannot leave a message. So I called the main store number. The recording says they are too busy to come to the phone, which is an absolute joke because it's about midnight right now. Walmart is a billion dollar company but yet this location routinely overcharges people. You either get charged more than what the price listed on the shelf or they charge you for an extra item. This used to happen consistently years ago. If I was in the store when I noticed it, I would point it out and get it corrected. If I got home, I usually would just eat it. I had not been to this store in years but I had an appt on that side of town and decided to get some scrubs. While there, I picked up some grocery items including noodles. I picked up 4 noodles, 4 mangoes,etc. Went to appointment. Later that night I was unloading the car and looked at the receipt. I was charged for 5 noodles instead of 4. I called the number and reported it. They said a manager would call me within 3-4 days. This was on Monday. Saturday no one called. I called back again. In their files, they noted a manager called me the following day. I checked my call log and there were ZERO incoming calls from Walmart. Only me calling Walmart. I've tried calling the store directly but no one answers. Not the operator, not electronics, deli, etc. I have tried a few extensions and the phone does not get answered. I should be used to them lying. I tried to get my oil changed there and no one would come to the desk no matter how times they were paged. I waited almost an hour while several workers paged him. I finally spotted him in the back and motioned for him to come to the desk. He should his head no. So I took my car elsewhere and have been ever since. Naturally, I reported the situation. They said a manager would call. Someone from the store called, wouldn't say a word then hung up. I called back and could not get a hold of a manager. Management does not care. Workers do not care. Good luck getting someone on the floor who speaks English. It was an issue back then and still today. Regardless, Walmart needs to credit me back for the extra noodle. I am done letting them keep my money when they overcharge me. For those wondering why I didn't return in person it is because the location is no longer convenient. I live on the other side of the fairgrounds and work even further away. I'm not going to waste 2 hours trying to get back to that location after work. read more

This particular Walmart is large and offers a wide variety of food items, including different types of food options. They also sell good quality clothing and a variety of tools. **LONG LINES** I stood in line for a really long time for self checkout, it was around 8pm. Try to avoid this time of day if you can. None of the regular checkout lines were open, only self checkout. I have never in my life had to stand in line that long for a few items. It was a pain and I only went in the store for a few things and had to be in the store waiting in line that long. Gone are the days of a 5-10 minute trip for groceries. I try to avoid going to Walmart at all costs, but sometimes, like my trip today, it's the only store carrying your essential brands and a cheaper cost. That is important during this pandemic and economic crisis when saving matters. This store was already annoying to visit and only made worse when management decided to rearrange it a few months ago which means having to track across the entire floor to gather everything I need. They still have yet to fix the overhead signage so I go to the correct aisle without having to walk up and down to find the one tiny item I'm missing. The app has been useless with locating my items since the reset. Not only that but they removed all cashiered registers and put in all self-check out except for two lines where people buy tobacco products. This really sucked on one trip where the store lost power for a split second and it took 30 minutes for all of the registers to reset. People were angry and grumbling but pretty much everyone waited, only a few left. The only other option is to shop at the more expensive Publix directly across the street. The nice thing about the store is that is is kept fairly clean and customers are well-behaved. I've never witnessed an altercation or outburst amongst staff and customers. But forget about employees being friendly and helpful here. Ask one question and the response most likely will make you feel dumb and wasting their time. read more

I do not expect amazing service at Walmart, because it is public knowledge that they treat their staff poorly, which definitely spills over into the service that one can expect to receive, but this Walmart is particularly bad. The staff can be heard obnoxiously talking about each other in-front of customers and when they feel like helping you it definitely feels like you are a nuisance. It is a standard Walmart in terms of layout and merchandise, but the customer service just takes it to another level. It is close to home, so it's convenient, but it is somewhere I will try to avoid. read more

She dismissed me and started taking multiple other returns and said her supervisor would have to help me, she could not. She never called anyone to help me until I had waited more time and finally asked for help. She also back talked me like she was a child. This is a Walmart that you would expect from a Walmart. This location is the closest to us and we utilize it greatly. There have been some very rare times where there are altercations between customers but none came out on WorldStar so I presume that is a good thing. None of them actually resulted to physical so that was good. Other than that, it's a regular Walmart that will fill the needs or wants that you have. I also get my oil changed here at the auto center and though the service and customer relations can be improved a lot, I'm not too picky about it because my expectations are not high. They get the job done and that's all that I can ask. No complaints here as I shop here often and haven't had an issue thus far. Hopefully it stays that way. read more

Ok. So I went to pick up Jewish memorial candles (2 packs of 24 candles) which I ordered online for curbside pickup and I suspected based on the price that they were going to give me one candle, which they did. I showed the guy what I ordered. It plainly says 24 pack for 98 cents. 4cents per candle. Seemed a little weird but it's Walmart. So he went to get a manager. She's telling me it's a mistake on corporates end and they can't honor it. I told her she had to. It's in black and white, mistake or no, it has to be honored. She went to get another manager. She told me they don't even have 24 packs of candles. They aren't sold that way. So I told her to bring me 24 candles. At that point I would have cancelled the second order of 24 and just gotten 24, but she told me she couldn't do that so I gave her back the two they gave me and cancelled the whole thing. We called Corporate when we got back. Couldn't care less. I had a screenshot of what was ordered but they didn't want to see it. They said it was already changed. Walmart should be ashamed for not honoring what was plainly on their website. She kept telling me that it was online. And I kept telling her I ordered it online. It's not like I was in th store and expected a 24 pack for .98 when the ad clearly stated when ordered online. Be wary when ordering from Walmart. This is regarding my experience with the side liquor store. Wow! Just...wow. They really surprised me with the weekly / monthly deals section here. There's a display as you enter the store that has clearance items. Except they are things you actually want to purchase. I had to ask if the wine they were selling had turned, because I couldn't believe the price. $2 and $2.50 per bottle for items that normally run $15+. I hesitate to even write this out of fear too many may find out about this awesome deal - but my Yelp persona beat out my selfishness and I'm sharing it with community. This place is TERRIBLE. Every single time I've placed an order for pickup or delivery, they've managed to screw it up. For example, today I placed an order that was supposed to be delivered between 12-1pm...I got a text at 11:30am saying that it was delayed for at least two hours (but possibly longer), so I switched the order to pickup instead, waited another 6 hours until I finally got confirmation that the order was ready, and then still had to wait for another hour and a half when I got to the store. If all of that wasn't bad enough, they had somehow lost my order and had to re-shop everything. Keep in mind, this was 8-9 hours after my order was originally supposed to be delivered. Also, the manager (Zoe) had the balls to blame everyone else and claim that it wasn't her fault. The last time I checked, as manager, it's your job to make sure that your employees are doing their jobs. Anyway, do yourself a favor and go to literally any other store but this one. I usually don't do reviews but had to come on here just to write about how awful this Walmart is. I'd give negative stars if possible. read more

Went to Walmart on a mission to get Valentine's Day cards for my daughter's kindergarten class. I found the Valentine's section right away but couldn't seem to find the little cards. After looking around every aisle I finally spotted an associate to ask for help. She was finishing up a FaceTime call as I walked up. I said, "Excuse me, do you know where I can find the small Valentine's Day cards?" She's like "No I don't... -actually there they go right there." And she points to the adult V-Day cards. I say, "I need the ones for the little kids" she's like "Oh! The ones they can pass out in school??" I respond with a yes and she says, " Oh. Nah I don't." And looks back at her phone. "Ok... The management for the auto service area was nonexistent, the staff would pull away from a job to view their friends vehicles while you wait, and the fact that they have 6 or 7 bays and only use 1 or 2 at a time speaks volumes about what they think of your time. Why? I don't understand when there's more employees on the floor talking to each other than working. I used to regularly get my oil changes at Walmart due to the low price and connivence. The last time I had them do the work, it took 3+ hours to get the work done and when I went to pull out my car the next morning, there was oil all over the floor! I ended up going to Auto Clinic of Brandon on Hwy 60 to have the work done correctly! As an added bonus, I discovered that the price was nearly identical and the time was much better! This is a busy Walmart, and management does nothing to control the lines. I despise going to this location for several reasons. Entering and exiting the parkinglot is a nightmare. Traffic gets backed-up and it can take upwards of twenty minutes to get through one intersection during peak times. The store itself is fairly clean and organized, but the checkout situation is dreadful. I will drive 20 minutes out of my way just to avoid going to this Walmart location. Today, and every time after my first experience, was not my idea. I mentioned other options, but I was rejected and forced to go, once again. One of my worst experience this week .They was a female at the front where they check the receipts of your current purchase . I can't recall her name it was rather boyish it started with a G she had those huge hole like earrings that goes into your skin and red hair short she resembled a lesbian . She smelt like weed and was high .I thought employees get drug tested at your company .I told her I needed to return an item she took a while to respond and gave me an attitude and told me to go to service both . Very unprofessional luckily a very lovely young girl with long brown hair was able to assist and that saved me and my husband from an awful trip . Would give it zero stars if I could, but the cashier was pleasant. Several issues: 1. Took my car in for an oil change. No one was outside and the customer entrance sign was angled - area looked deserted. No clear place to park, so I circled twice and parked in a spot across from the auto bays. 2. The guy who came in to get my keys kept demanding, "There's no car in line. No car in the line." I said I parked it and he started up again. I'm obviously here. Obviously you have my key. There was no line. It will take ten more steps to reach it. The cashier actually had to tell him to move it from the parking spot. 3. Time estimate: 30 min. Shopped and was back in the waiting area with time to spare. After almost an hour, I asked for a time check. Keys are under the counter, ready to go. Been ready for almost 20 minutes. Both cashiers knew I was there. Knew I was waiting. No motivation from them or the technician to tell me I was done. 4. All auto department cash registers fail. I stand at the counter while they figure out what to do. I drag my purchases to another department to check out. 5. They failed to turn off the engine light. NEVER again. I didn't want to go to Walmart in the first place, but took husband's suggestion that it would be cheap and fast. I'll pay full price at Jiffy Lube before I ever do this again. Last straw for them, really. Every time I come here, I think, "This time will be different. I'll save some money." And without fail, I leave promising to never return. Officially boycotting. This location never seems to have a lot of groceries in stock and it's the first WM I can say that about. It's always packed and the people are flat out rude -- again, something I've not had to deal with at other locations (perhaps surprisingly). This location is basically across the street from my apartment but I'm very close to driving to the Gibsonton Drive location for grocery trips.
