The Pharmacy team was communicative and helpful. This Walmart is cleaner than some of the others I've been to in the past. We went in to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy and check out some of the Legos for holiday gifts. We were pleasantly surprised with the selection they had and the price ranges ($7-$130 kits). We left with a Super Mario Pirhana Plant lego kit for an adult ($60) and a 3-1 kit for a child that makes an larger axolotl, a flamingo, & parrot ($30). They had tons of Star Wars build options, cars, futurama, the one piece build, and Harry Potter stuff. read more

Walmart on St Charles Rock Rd. When I was shopping for groceries there were two female employees w the large carts to shop for online orders hanging out blocking the same grocery isle. Neither were putting things in their carts. Seems like they were taking a break blocking traffic. One of these employees was talking to a uniformed Marine recruiter and wouldn't move to open up the isle. I left the isle and came back later. They were shopping in my same direction. They continued their sluggish behavior blocking each isle they were both in. I continued trying to get by. My next issue was that only one checker lane was open. I had a full cart of apx $400 worth of items I picked up for all over the store. I asked a female employee maning the online shopping employee checkout if they could open more lanes. With her lips pursed tightly leaning on a display rack with no eye contact said "NO!, you can go to the self checkout lines!" She refused to ask to open more lanes. I told her, her attitude was extremely rude. She continued (refuse to make eye contact) as she raised her voice firmly to me said "HAVE A GOOD DAY, HAVE A GOOD DAY!" And ignored me. I left my full cart and walked out of the store. The only reason I moved from North Texas was to be closer to my St Louis family who live in North St Louis County. HUGE geographic mistake. My daughter always told me StL Walmarts are the WORST. They are not pleasant at all like the Walmarts in Texas. Now I believe her. I will start going to Whole Foods, Dierbergs and even Schnucks! But I will be going to the locations South of hwy 40 where employees are respectful of their customers. It's a 25 minute drive, but I will deal with it. It's a Walmart, not a fancy department store. Set expectations. This is not my favorite Walmart. It's always packed, registers have LONG lines and the self checkout also usually has a super long line. Inventory is hit and miss - sometimes lots of products, others nothing is on the shelves. VERY hard to find an associate to help you with ANYTHING. Now all that said then why did I give them 3 stars? Good question. I transferred my prescription here from a competitor and they filled it quickly when other pharmacies refused to fill it (long story short - the med is sold in packs of 10, my insurance will only approve 8, others stores refuse to "break open a pack", they did it no problem). I've ordered online for pickup and it's been handled well - always on time and the employees were nice with handling and packing into my trunk. Their service desk is helpful and efficient even when you've lost your receipt for a return. read more

This place is the worst. I'm sorry, but it is. I've been ordering from this location for 3 years. Over seven different times, my grocery delivery order has never shown up. SEVEN TIMES! That my grocery order for 2 weeks of food has not been delivered. This is ridiculous. When we call repeatedly, if Walmart answers, they usually blame it on door dash. When we call door dash, they blame it on Walmart. When we call the Walmart phone number, it almost never works and when it does, you can't reach the right people. The grocery voicemail is full. I use grocery delivery because I'm disabled and this is supposed to relieve stress. Instead, it just adds to my stress. I will not be using this system anymore. Even during a pandemic Walmart stocks fun waffle flavors! They aren't selling certain healthier waffles as I'm used to purchasing. That's okay, because I see this as an attempt to keep smiles on our children's faces. I found everything, except for pink lady apples, that I needed to stock up for another couple weeks. Have never bought basil pesto sauce before. This Walmart had at least 5 different brand options. As for the patrons...I didn't see other patrons unaware of me and others. Generally I have no issues with this store but...went around 6:30 pm and all the lights in the parking lot were out?! They were pretty busy, so the self check-out line was very long and it looked like maybe only 3 other lanes were open. When I went to the next available register, I noticed there were no bags. I walked up to the associate working and said, "Miss, there are no bags at this register" and she said, you'll have to get some from the other end of the store. What? There were several lines that were closed with bags at them (noticed as I was looking for bags when leaving). There was nobody that could bring some bags from another register? So as I was leaving and asked 1 of 2 people standing around wasting time talking by the doors, and was told, we're out of bags and we can't take any from another register, in case it opens. (So sforget the people who are buying stuff now, tomorrow we may need those bags???). This makes no sense to me. Plus, there were lots of bags in the same self-check out area that could've been distributed. You all need to find a new manager for this store or train the employees in common sense. Even by Walmart standards this place is horrible. Keep driving, trust me it will be worth the extra 20 minutes or so to go out to Saint Charles, Saint Peters, or O'Fallon. This place is always packed and is incapable of keeping up with the traffic. I've been here multiple times and each time it amazes me how awful the experience manages to be. One time I went to get an electric toothbrush and it was locked up. I should've just left and ordered it online. I pressed the button and waited a few times. After nobody came I asked a nearby worker if they could get someone with a key. They said sure but 20 minutes passed and nobody came. I asked another worker and same thing. Must've been 45 minutes standing there waiting. Another time I went to get some clothes and went to the dressing rooms to find nobody there. Another guy was waiting and he asked a staff to get in the rooms. She said we "just have to wait for someone." We did wait but nobody came, eventually we asked someone else and she called on the intercom. After waiting another 10-15 minutes I just left. I imagine the guy I was waiting with is still standing there waiting for service. I can't express enough how awful this place is, for your own sake please don't go here. Well it's a Walmart. It's usually hard to find a space in their condensed parking lot but their selection is descent. I was ultimately turned off when I went a few weeks ago and the only person between the workers and customers not wearing a mask was the clerk at the front of the store as you enter. Terrible! I was there tonight and the cashier moved slower than my 85-year-old blind mother. The cashier ultimately had to get a "supervisor" for a customer 2 in front of me. I saw the supervisor walking up and honestly, she walked slower than my blind mother who uses a walker. People had been waiting in line for 30+ minutes and the supervisor could have been passed by a snail. Utter incompetence abounds! The pickup department is so incompetent that I have called Walmart online, the store itself, and I am mere moments from Better Business Bureauing it. This has nothing to do with COVID. This has everything to do with training your employees to know what's what and do halfway decent customer service. Something I like is discontinued. I was going to have a last hurrah. Spent $100. Went last weekend. It was nuts. Labor day. I went to the customer pickup area. Wasn't sure if I qualified. I called the number on the parking spot ]sign. Gave them my name. They said, "Oh, [name of item]?" "Yes." "Ok, we'll be out with it." So I wait. And wait. And wait. 17 minutes--I checked the call history. And I see someone who came after me and got a bunch of stuff got their stuff and was gone. So I call. They say, "Oh, you have to come in the store for that." Really? Because you just told me you were coming out with it. I look over at the line to get in, and because it's Labor Day 2020 and carpe diem, there's a line out the store and it's hot and I've already got a headache I'm not going to wait in that, so I decide to get it over a lunch hour. I now regret not just picking it up then. It's so much worse to be up a creek with more time and gas invested. Yes, I skipped eating my lunch today (with the help of a big late breakfast) to do an in-store pickup way over there. I once again check in as I leave home. Nobody in pickup, but the other associates in the customer service area radio for someone. I wait maybe 5 minutes before someone comes over. He gets my bag and I'm all happy leaving until I start ripping open the bag to see that they grabbed the wrong item. 16 times. for $100+. Coffee mixes. They got me coffee mixes. I don't drink coffee. I take it back to the counter. The associate says it can't be refunded since I picked it up. I'm like... come now. Come now. You're Walmart. See how what I ordered was pink lemonade mixes? See how this is coffee? I didn't agree to this. He started talking about substitutions. Nowhere did it say anything about substitutions. Not when I was ordering. Not in my pickup notifications. Not in the order history. Nowhere. Someone just grabbed something by the big brand (Yes, it was Starbucks) and I guess assumed I'd be happy with over 100 cups of disgusting coffee. Time is ticking. The associate tries to figure out how to refund it but can't. Doesn't try to get a manager or anything. I know I will live to fight the coffee battle for a refund another day, but I need to get back to work so I don't get docked... they'd call it vacation time. I called corporate Walmart and then the store on the way home. The manager I spoke to didn't like my using the word "incompetent," but I don't know other words to describe failures at every turn to provide me with one item. She tried to explain why associates may have substituted my product and said she'd talk to the manager over there about training employees that items picked up are returnable. That's something, though it doesn't help me. But I take responsibility. Really, this is my fault. It's my fault for thinking Walmart employees could work together to find one thing in their store, know the pickup policy, communicate, know return policies, have someone working in a department during its open hours, or know to ask for help when they are in over their heads. It's my fault for trusting Walmart with a job meant for Amazon. Wish me luck on my third trip to a Walmart regarding this matter. I know I can't break even (gas and time), but maybe I can get that actual money back? If not, it's time for Better Business Bureau and a disputed charge. Do I even need to say I won't be going to the Bridgeton store? I leave you at close to 2 hours in, and who knows how many miles on my car and damage for the ozone? Well inside my one hour window. I checked in on the Wal-Mart app and waited, and waited, and waited. More than 15 minutes with no sign of an associate. So I called the number provided on the sign in my space. Someone answered giggling and laughing and HUNG UP. Not once, but twice. I tried to call the main store and was hung up on there as well .... Walmart Saga: Sunday order groceries to be delivered Tuesday. No groceries on Tuesday. We reach out to the store and are told the driver left with half the order, they called him back because they were still shopping the order, and we should get groceries sometime tonight. A follow up call resulted in being put on hold 15 minutes and being hung up on three times. We reached out online. First, I contacted the "wrong" customer service. Second, I contacted the "right" customer service. Our issue was escalated and we should have heard something last night or today... Nope! I called the store today about the yet to be delivered groceries. I was transferred and no one picked up. I called again and was transferred to management. She was going to find out what was going on and call me back... Nope! I called the numbers I was given the previous evening. Surprise!!! They are the wrong phone numbers. I do get transferred to someone that can help. Only she can't help. I am told I have to call or go up to the store for my refund. They don't answer the phone at this Walmart. So I go up to the store. I wait in line at customer service. I am referred to another person that cannot help. She gets the manager. I am told this is a problem they are having because Door Dash does their deliveries and steal orders from time to time. I am assured that once a complaint is filed with Door Dash, our order will be refunded. We will receive an email shortly... Nope! I call to follow up and am told I can call in the morning to speak to the manager. All we want is our money back. read more

The last 5 visits I've been unable to buy razor refills because no one could unlock the case. Employees normally ignore the service call to the lock case completely. When confronted about the issue I have ALWAYS been told, typically with an extremely rude attitude, that someone took the keys home. It is not uncommon for someone to take work keys home, but on several different occasions in a single month is extreme and continuing this pattern for over 2 years is ridiculous. I just want to be able to buy the products I want that are in stock on the shelf. read more

Google and the website both say the store closes at 11pm, and I got off work at 10 and needed maybe 4 things. I thought it'd be good idea to do a quick pop in after work and be checked out before they close. Big mistake. I walk in ,and everything seems normal. There's cars in the parking lot and the automatic door opened when I came in, and so nothing strikes me as being closed. I start looking for my few items and about five minutes pass when out of nowhere this woman appears ,and shes yelling at me in a very rude tone about how the store had already closed and that it is only employees here right now. A little taken back by the way she approached me so aggressively ,I respond with ,"Ok thats all you had to say. You dont have to yell" and she claims shes been trying to get my attention ,but the first time I noticed her she was in already in vicious rage about my being there. Then I explained, "Sorry google maps said I had until 11pm" to which she ignored my reasoning ,and kept screaming "BYE!" while gesturing towards the exit of the store. She even cussed at me a few times which was very unprofessional, especially with this woman appearing to be the manager. So at this point I can see this woman is clearly unstable about how ready she is to be off work ,so I just start to walk out .Then, she trails behind me (at an uncomfortable and non-socially distanced manner) like she was a bouncer at a club escorting me out of the store. So I turn around and say "You dont have to follow me , I'm leaving peacefully" she says "Yes I do it's my job" . Then she yells "You cant check out those items, leave right now! " ,and I was keeping my cool up until this point trying not to be in conflict with the big bad walmart supervisor ,but when she kept going on and on, I just lost my temper and dropped the two things I had on the floor, for her to pick up because she was being such a C U Next Tuesday, and the look on her face when I did that was relatively satisfying based on the way she was treating me, but overall it was still a bad experience because if they didnt want customers walking in at 10:30, then they should : 1. It's a Walmart. Super center so it has all the goodies. Burger King inside. Optical center. Etc. I haven't had issues here myself. Parking lot is almost always full. People drive the wrong way. Hard to get in or out at times. But as far as getting the items in need and checking out quickly it's been great. I think some of the line issues are because they often train new people. A typical shopping experience at this store. Saturday night 9:40, parking lot relatively empty, (for Walmart) but of course, only two registers open. The lines are unreasonably long. People are getting angry. One frantic customer seeks out someone with authority who walks her off somewhere, I assume to check her out at a register far from us, not sure. There are about 10 people waiting like cattle in the lane next to us when their cashier all of a sudden leaves without notice. Now customers are understandingly furious. Some are abandoning their full carts in disgust. The manager is our cashier. When asked if they were short-handed, her reply was "No, it's always like this at shift change." I have been here before around this time and it appears to be true. At 10 pm an announcement over the intercom calls for the 10 o'clock cashiers to come up front. From the bowels of this stockyard appear 2 cashiers to help. There were additional cashiers here the whole time...? The other Walmarts I shop at are not like this. Worse experience ever!!!! I went purchase an item that was under lock and key. I flagged down an employee for assistance but was told that she didn't have a key. She offered to page someone overhead for assistance. A minute later I heard the page but it was wasn't very loud. I decided to browse around the area and picked up a couple of items. I noticed the deodorants section was very unorganized. If you look on the very top self, there was a hodge-podge of bottles just stuck up there. It wasn't even like back stock for filling the sections later. It was a hot mess!!!! I continued to look around and everything appeared to be be unorganized with empty shelves. I know a bunch of stores are closing and I wouldn't be surprised if this store was a chosen one! Back to the item I wanted to purchase. I waited and waited and waited and waited. I see employees walking around like they are lost and don't know what they are supposed to be doing. I could have told them if they needed some directions. Jeez!!!!! I waited and waited. Flagged down someone else - another muted page - waited and waited and waited. Called customer service told them I was waiting - page again please. I waited and waited. Finally after about 45 MINUTES - I made my way to the front of the store - got another page. More waiting. Asked for a manager - the employee told her what I needed and the manager did address me I just heard snippets of their conversation. The person with the key was at lunch. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS???? I'm thinking 'WHY IS THE PERSON WITH THE KEY ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES"? Don't they know that a customer might show up and need something from one of the many locked cases? NOOOOOOOO they don't! I am livid at this point because I need this item and chose this particular evening and particular store to shop for it. I asked for the stop store manager. As it turns out, she was another non-communicator. I swear, no people skills in this store!!! A bunch of blue vest people walking around and none of them addressed me face-to-face offering what they could or even apologizing for the inconsistencies. Now I've been in the store over an hour and Doug still hasn't returned. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I overheard someone mention the name of the employee. He is late coming back from lunch. About 10 minures later after me milling ariund the front of the store where batches of employees are hovering and talking about me. I expected security to show up thinking I could pose a threat but none did. I was angry but knew how to keep my voice low while spewing venom. Finally Doug shows up with the keys and is told someone needs assistance. My big ass is standing right there but they don't indicate that it is me. He heads on back to the area. i show up and he is assisting people and afterwards I ask for help. I tell him that I waited over an hour and he said that there are spare keys in the store lockbox that the manager can open. I'm like REALLY? I get the item, check out and hound down the manager and share this news with her. I basically tell her that not one single employee in the store know a single thing! She said that she didn't have access to the lock box and I tell her that Doug said that management did. She goes on to deny this. I tell her what I perceive as the problem and she respectfully ignores it and gives me an apology that made me feel like I was a worm and that she was semi sorry for smashing my tail while crossing paths with me. I want any apology from the people or person who oversees that store; like a regional or someone. I want my time and purchase to be compensated with a gift card. I want an apology from someone who have some communication skills and is very verbal. I will continue to post this complain every opportunity that I can find until someone responds with an email. I will go as high within the organization that I can until everyone is tired of hearing my voice. I know there are staff turnovers all over the country but management needs to know that the staff they are hiring are not qualified to work with the public.
