This Walmart is just like any other in terms of the items / brands / pricing. I was surprised that with all their Christmas items out for sale they didn't have any "traditional" Christmas ribbon. They had the fancy ribbon with snowflakes, etc on it but not the simple red, green, and gold rolls I had grown up with. I looked in every place I could think of and although they did have ribbon, they didn't have those. I ended up having to go to the dollar store. The store was clean but the cashier we went to when we checked out the other items we had, was rude and seemed annoyed when I said have a good day as we walked away. read more

I felt violated and this felt like racial profiling. I went to the checkout with 2 small items and the employee comes over behind me, as another customer comes to the area, as soon as I finish paying she walks away while the other customer( Caucasian looking) is scanning her items. Ya know, not every minority steals. I am in my 50s and would not steal from Walmart, or any place for that matter, as karma is very real, there are others that may, but don't assume and make it so obvious. Went to the local Walfart today. I got in line. The light was one. Cashier checking out customer in front of me and when she scanned the last item she said sorry this is the last customer. I'm closed as she turned of her light. I said well guess what! I'm closing too. Have fun. Get someone to put the grocery's back on the shelf. Why do I come here to save $5.00??? I went through hell and back trying to buy new bikes for my 3 daughters and was let down by two Walmarts near my hometown. I ended up locating this Walmart which was 40 minutes away because it showed the two bikes I needed in stock. I called the store, mind you it's extremely hard to get help over the phone usually, and I ended up speaking to Madi who was not even working in the toy department. I explained a little bit about my situation and instead of transferring me to someone else, like I was numerous times today, she showed compassion and kindness. She personally checked to see if the bikes were in stock so I didn't have to drive the way for nothing. She made sure those bikes were held for me until I got there. She was so professional and exceptionally above and beyond. I have never experienced someone so willing to help and she was the bit kindness I desperately needed after the hardest year of my life. If I could pay for her raise I would and she definitely needs to be acknowledged. Thank you Madi!! read more

Constantly walking past employees smoking out front before going in to find half the stuff I need is out of stock and then heading up to check myself out of the "optional" self checkout line because there are no registers open. When I asked about the registers I was told it was because they're short staffed. That day there were 4 employees manning the 4 self check out lines when there are usually 2 of them during the busy times when there is also registers open. I've lived in burlington for 9 years and this location went from being one of the nicest walmarts in the area to the trashiest. It doesn't help that I can't go there without seeing employees just hanging out rather than working too. read more

I am shocked to be leaving a 5-star review for Walmart, but after my initial pick up order had items missing, I got outstanding service from Mariah when I called to let them know about the order. She went through each item with me (it was a large order for an Open House) and made sure that I got everything. I was even able to schedule a last minute pick-up after 9pm to make sure I got everything. If anything needed to be substituted, she communicated clearly and was very helpful and kind. I have rarely experienced this level of service at any Walmart, and I was so impressed by this associate that I had to leave a positive review. read more

I purchased eye glasses from the vision center. The first pair had to be sent back and now after a month the second pair have to be fixed. I can understand problems, but they will have my glasses 8 to 10 days. They are not providing decent customer service. Obviously the matter could be taken care of much more timely. read more

Every time I go in this store it says something was in stock it is not. You can not tell me everything I want somehow is out of stock. No one is around to help and their shelves are messy and out of place. Let's not get this confused with a labor shortage being the reason. It's ALWAYS been a problem . As my profile states, I'm a huge fan of peopleofwalmart.com and this location certainly doesn't disappoint. It's not so much the bizarre costumes and inappropriate in public fashions... it's the environment that'll catch you! This store is remarkably similar to a certain chain of farm supply retailers. Though I didn't see a grand selection of saddles and pig food they certainly stocked an excessive amount of weapons! Guns, bow and arrows, bullets, everything a modern day maniac would desire. I wasn't there for groceries and the only reason I stopped here was because it was between the Dr.'s office and home... for convenience I guess. Some Wal-Marts like to stock their grocery section with locally provided goods, so I wouldn't have been surprised to see squirrel and raccoon in the meat cases. Being that this store is in a more rural location, one would think the service would be friendlier and more knowledgeable... ain't the case! I was ignored here more than in any urban area. Finally, I found what I needed, paid for it and headed out the door. I wish I'd thought to get a picture of this but, as I headed towards the car, I was almost run over by the best Beverly Hillbillies truck ever. It was a Lincoln Navigator, probably one of the first models ever made, that had duct tape holding the grille on. A few black garbage bags for windows and, get this, a gun rack in the one glass rear window. It would have been my pleasure to be struck by this vehicle, I was laughing so hard I could've died from a coronary! I'll recommend this Wal-Mart the same as any other one... just be prepared for what you may see! read more

It's a decent store if you are looking for basics and don't need to interact with anyone . The older workers who pass out stickers are the only nice people in the building . If you have any questions , especially the tech department , you will never get a clear answer . If you are looking for a smile don't go to anyone under 60 . Have few options at the Burlington store. The convenience here is that you can shop for discounted personal care items, household items, garden items, etc., along with grocery items. EXCEPT that large spaces on many of the shelves are empty, devoid of products. Often it can be items I purchase regularly and when the shelf is empty of all product or even anything close to it, it STAYS empty forever. It seems to take weeks if not months for new product to show up on the shelves - as if they have no employees to take note of what needs to be restocked and order. And little by little, brands other than the Walmart store brand seem to be phasing out, leaving very few choices in brands. No bueno. I'm starting to shop elsewhere, as often as possible. read more

They do not care, they will not try to solve your problem or even try to help you other than "oh sorry". Always clean and stocked, helpful employees and pharmacy. Week or two before Thanksgiving, they were obviously short-staffed and it showed. I do know they are hiring. In the summer, the air conditioning could be cooler, and I've complained about that in the past to their corporate office. All in all though, a great place to shop. read more
