While shopping today I saw a 87 man on a none working motorized cart. His cart had broken down. He was stranded and looked unwell. I asked him if I could get some him help. I saw the man at the door and told him of the man. He said " I can't leave the door." I ask if he could notify someone. He didn't respond.I went to a man at the self checkout and ask him to notify someone. He said he couldn't leave his area. I understand they can't leave but can't they call for help.the person from the door finally came and told us that all the carts were in use or not charged. The senior ended up being given a regular cart. He could barely stand. He got in a line to be checked out. The man from the door said they would open a self checkout. The senior would have to walk all the way back. He had to walk to car. He was polite, didn't complain. What if he fell. Would anyone get help? Do the employees have phones to notify some to help shoppers in this kind of situation?I'm a senior also and I'm disappointed and worry about anyone having a medical emergency . I hope the gentle man finds a safer way to get his groceries. Shame on you, Walmart. You can do better. read more

Automotive Early this week we stopped in to have tires put on our vehicle. With only two cars ahead of mine, and 4 automotive workers on staff. It took 5 hours of my day waiting to get tires put on! I don't see how they are making money? It's like they don't care about there jobs. read more

This place is always picked over. Their shelves are probably between 30% and 48% stocked on each isle. I'm from San Diego and San Diego and LA can manage to keep their shelves properly stocked vs a Walmart in Burton, Michigan. Seriously? I have to drive to Meijer to grab things after Walmart so I stopped going to Walmart. Once again I'll stop shopping at all Walmart locations. This time is for sure. Never again. Shopping at the Burton Walmart is an exercise in futility. You will inevitably wind up regretting it on many different levels, wondering why you even bothered in the first place before feeling compelled to bang your head on a wall just for the hell of it. Ugh. It's a typical Walmart in most respects and all, but the people that work here are so apathetic, they really couldn't care less if you spent three hours in here or three minutes because they are getting paid either way. I'm sure that I've sprouted a gray hair just standing in line. Slow ass service, strange assortment of oddball shoppers that look they have never been to the "city" before and are experiencing civilization for the first time and bratty, unattended children everywhere. It's like no other place on earth. Beware of items in the refrigerated or frozen departments because the food might be thawing or maybe was sitting out too long at the checkout after it was discarded and then returned to its rightful area after three hours. Always pick those items out from the back, never the front or you will get the half-melted ice cream or half-thawed out frozen chicken breast. Who wants ice cream, chicken or frozen lasagna at near room temperature? I don't. I've shopped here more than I like because I run errands for my mother-in-law, but this place is a zoo. It's like a freak show every time I shop here, which is way too often. The prices are usually reasonable and the health and beauty and pet areas are organized nicely, but the pharmacy is hit or miss and the grocery area is messy more often than it should be. There is a fairly large deli section featuring hot and cold salads, rotisserie chicken, BBQ wings, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rice, dips, etc, but it is no competition for VG's. Very average deli selections at best and the produce is not the greatest. I've gotten bananas and apples that turned rotten almost immediately after purchase from this Walmart. Beware the minefield of bruised produce that gets put back for the consumer to purchase later. The parking lot is pot hole city and nobody knows how to park properly, either. Walmart has done a great job with cleaning and stocking during this whole Covid. I did notice they have more cashiers open lanes, Thank god. I wish they would keep in stock Cliff energy gel packets. They r awesome and much better then 5hr energy. Walmart was the only place I could find them. I hope they do keep some lanes open with cashiers, if you have a big order it's hard to ring everything up, bag it and make sure you have everything, because there is no room in self checkout for large orders. The Walmart location on Belsay Rd in Burton, Michigan is horrible. First, the parking lot looks like a hurricane came through leaving garbage all over the lot. Disgusting. Secondly, the bottle return had three machines beeping and out of order. Nobody ever came to fix the problem. Third, I wanted to buy an Ozark electric fillet knife and could not find it. I checked the walmart app and said it carried it and in aisle N28. Nowhere to be found let alone an associate to ask for help. Items on shelves were missing that usually are stocked. Lastly, checkout was a joke. One open lane and backed up. It forced me to do self checkout. Do not shop here unless you want this experience. read more

KNOW MICHIGAN LAW...basically if they have a $40 item in a $20 spot then the establishment has to honour it, also if you bought something and do not realise until after getting home or what not and come back to get it fixed/get the difference you NEED to ask for your "MI bounty" which is basically based on a certain percentage-what you paid for the item-and it does not exceed $5.00...but look by LAW you will get back the $20 and an additional $5 equaling $25. Know your laws and do not let places like WAL-MART or even MENARDS tell you differently... The fact that I am giving them a star is because there is no negative rating on this site, when myself and my two roommates went there to get some snacks I saw at checkout (near the U-scan on the grocery side) some Pokémon cards that surprised me when it came to the price. There were four (4) all together in the spot so I grabbed one, when we scanned it it came up $39.99 when the tag said $19.95...we all talked with the cashier at the time who got a CSM, even though there was one near by that I even asked help from who then told me "She's (the cashier) getting someone, it will just be a moment" WHAT THE HECK Then all of a sudden severity was over there (BIG guy, used to work elsewhere in the store, African American/Black...really nice guy to be honest) which I did not know why he was looking at us (I do understand some what...). After that the OTHER CSM arrives and asks us what the issue is, we tell her which she then takes the merchandise and walks to where the other three are. When she gets there she said "We just had someone fix this" and I said as respectfully as possible "Well whoever it was, they didn't do a good job then". After that she looked at me and said "I do not know why you do this, I mean you used to work here, what's your problem". I've never been to this WalMart, but I just saw video of Ebony Harris, an employee, helping a woman with cerebral palsy do her nails. It was so kind. She did it on her break. I hope that the store gives her a big raise and an even bigger hug and tells her every day how wonderful she is. One of the worst Wal-Mart's in the area, although surprisingly better than the dump that is the Corunna Rd store (on the west side of town), which i'll award an extra star for. They recently remodeled this location from a regular dump hole to a superstore (groceries, etc). It has been cleaned up /a little/ due to the construction, but its still the same dirty store and management. dont even bother with the groceries here. prices are good, but the quality is horrendously scary, especially the meat and produce. overall, 2 stars. ugh. read more

Bad service, super slow check out, items are not priced the same as the signs hanging over them, popular items are out of stock. Only complaint is that there is NO lighting in the back parking lot where my car was parked I felt nervous about that being it was late. If I could give them a 1/2 star I would. This is absolutely the worst Walmart anywhere. The management here is horrendously bad and has been for such a very long time. They honestly know nothing about customer service. They never have enough check out lanes open. It's always a long wait to get out of there even when you run in for one quick item. I live 3 miles from this walmart and hate it so much that I will drive to Lapeer or Grand blanc first because I know I'll get home faster. Which is a sad but true statement. This morning my wife sent pictures to their photo center. Then called to find out how quickly we could pick them up. We figured the photo center wasn't open yet so she started at customer service and asked "what time does your photo center open" she was promptly placed on he and transferred to a line that rang for 5 minute (no joke). She hung up called back and explained her recent experianced. The worker then placed her back on hold so she could page someone to help her. Apparently she didn't know the answer. After being on hold for 10 minutes the same worker came back and asked why are you holding?? She once again explained her problem that all she wanted to know was what time the photo center opened? The lady then asked several coworkers none who seemed to know. My wife then asked for a manager. (She's now been trying for 25minutes to get this answer) so the worker once again transferred her to a line no one is picking up. My wife hung up called back and asked for the store manager. The store manager had to look up to see what time his photo center opened (he didn't know) but he got the answer "it opened at 10am". It was now 10:30. We would ask to be transferred to the photo center but we already know that it's futile. read more

I haven't shopped at the Burton Walmart in over a year, until last Friday. Now I remember why! I only went there because they were the only store open so early that carries Lee Jeans. I was in a hurry and needed to get some jeans that fit. After losing 35 lbs,, I was not sure what size I would need. I took 14 pairs of assorted syles in two different sizes, to try on. The clerk gave me such a dirty look and said,"You know, you can only take in 6 items at a time?" I told her that I knew that. I rehung, rebutton and made sure every pair was zipped after I tried them on. There were 3 pairs that were not on hangers. I ran out of time so ended up only trying on 12 pair. I took 1 pair that I had tried on and purchased them as well as the 2 pair that I did not get to. If the clerk would have been a little helpful, I'm sure I could have tried them on as well, but had to redress each time to take out the jeans that I did not want and then take in more. When I left the area, I told the lady that I was really sorry that I had inconvenienced her. She asked what I meant by that and I told her that she had not smiled, offered to take the jeans that I brought out (that I was not keeping) or even acknowledged my presence other then her scowl and handing me the tag to take in. She said it wasn't me and that she is always like that in the morning. I told her that she shouldn't be in customer service if she worked days and was always that rude in the morning. When I got to the cash register (20 minutes after I ended the store), there was only 2 registers open (no self checkout was available either.) There was 9 people ahead of me in line. Finally, another cashier opened all the way to the other end of the store. I went down to that register. I told the cashier that I wanted to see a manager. The cashier was VERY nice and apologized for the wait in line. I told her that was not my problem although I was in line longer than I had been in the fitting room. The cashier told me there was a store manager right over in the return area. When the store manager walked by the register and was told she was needed, she said, "I'm not here yet, I don't start until 8.") I was floored. There was a Dept. Manage there that "took" my concern. In the fitting area and the cash register (not the cashier, the Dept. Manager and another employee) all I heard was how 3rd shift had not done their job and how tired they were of having to clean up after other people. I told them that I also felt those comments should be made in private, not in front of customers. Unfortunately, the pair of jeans that I had not tried on, did not fit. I returned them today at 12:30. There was 14 people in line at the Return area with only 2 cashiers-neither of them smiled at anyone. When it was finally my turn, I told her that I just wanted to exchange the jeans. The receipt had blown out of the bag in my convertible. The cashier asked for my ID, which I did not have with me. She said she was sorry and that there was nothing she could do without ID. I told her that because I had paid with cash, I did not even think to have my ID with me and that I had left it in my motorcycle saddlebag and forgotten to get it out before I went to the store. She said there was nothing she could do. I asked for a manager. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, I was not happy. The manager was called for 3 times and I had another 15 minute wait. When she finally got there, I told her how unhappy I was about my visit Saturday and that this just confirmed my feeling of never going back to the Burton store again. The manager never apologized, acknowledged anything that I said or smiled. She said, "She can look up your receipt if you know when you bought them." I told her that the clerk had never told me that and the clerk said, "You didn't tell me that you knew when you bought them." I said, "You never asked." The manager just stood there. Finally, she said to go get what I wanted to exchange. I had planned on purchasing much more while I was there. Instead, I went to K-Mart, down the street and spent $200 for new bathroom items. By the way, they were very pleasant and smiling. How does Walmart expect their customer service employees to treat customers right when their management is rude? I will never shop in that store again. I own a local child care business and will be sure to post a copy of this letter on the door as well as the newspaper, Channel 12, Channel 6 or whoever else will listen. So after reading some reviews...I decided to join and tell you all that this Wal-mart sucks. For the past few weeks I've been wanting the second ear peircing. They told me to call everyday....because at that time they did not have the peircing earrings in. (What kind of a store that offers this service runs out?). Anyways, I have called eveyday since that, and they keep saying they don't have them in Yesterday, I was told to stop calling, and that if I dont like the service that I should stop shopping there. This wal-mart is only like 5 min away from my house... I have no intention on giving up....although if you can afford to go to a different wal0mart...thats further away...I highly suggest it, because nothing is good about this one. Went to have 2 tires installed that I bought from Walmart online. The price for the tires was great, didn't want to spend too much on a car with 150,000 miles on it. No other vehicles in the bay. 1.5 hours to install the two tires!! I would look in and think I must not be able to see the person hard at work on it, nope, car is just sitting there even though there are many associates around. Then while they are test driving a buddy pulls up in a Corvette and they get out of my car to admire it! I finally said how ridiculous it was and someone finally let them know. Took my truck in for a flat repair and was told there was a three hour wait, which wasnt a big deal. I got picked up and was told they would call when it was ready. Five hours later, when everywhere else was closed, i called to see what the deal was. Turns out they couldnt fix the tire and never called. Worst part is when i took it to belle tire they determined it was leaking from the rim and had it fixed in 30 minutes. I've traveled our beautiful country and stopped a Wal-Mart stores from coast to coast. Unfortunatly, the Burton store is the worst. The shelves are poorly stocked and always full of empty boxes. Checkouts are sooooooo slow. I talked with the store manager more than once but I never see any results. I eMailed Wal-Mart and they had the store manager call me... Alot of good that did.. N O T ! There are rumors flying that a new Sams Club is going to be built, I hope it has better management than the Burton WalMart.... I do most of my shopping at Wal-Mart but I will drive to Grand Blanc or Lapeer or even Clio to get a nice clean, well stocked store. Thank you. read more

I shop at this Walmart atleast once a week if not more. There is one lady greeter that is really discriminating against me. My husband and I went Saturday morning and bought a lot of groceries of course we where stopped for our receipt to be checked. Understandable considering we had water & pop on the bottom of our cart. With that said another couple came right behind us same situation and she oh no go ahead. It does to matter if I have a cart full or one bag. I swear she see me and checks me no matter what. I have seen many many people walk out no questions asked. When I go back if I see her I WILL NOT shop, and if she stops me again for no reason I'm going to the counter and returning everything. She is being a down right B----!! Why don't walmart put stickers on large items?? Then people like me won't have to be harassed or have to wait and waste our time.
