Zero stars if possible I had an extremely uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this Walmart location. I was purchasing wine along with a full cart of groceries. I stated my age (I'm 50), yet the cashier proceeded to question my 15-year-old son, who was shopping with me, about his age and then asked him for ID--which he does not have, because he is a minor. At no point was I asked for my ID. Only my son was questioned. This interaction felt targeted and unnecessary, and it left both of us feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed. I have shopped at Walmart many times with my children and have never experienced anything like this. Because of how this was handled, I left my entire cart of groceries and walked out. I later filed a complaint with Walmart and never received a response aside from their bot. Walmart needs to do better when it comes to consistent policies, staff training, and treating customers--and their children--with respect. I prefer shopping at this location vs. the smaller one on Walton Way. This store is pretty clean, usually well stocked, and if you shop a little earlier before 9:30am or so it's pretty quiet which I really enjoy. I don't feel rushed. Only issues I have are when you go to checkout. Either there is nobody working the registers, the register doesn't work, or the cashiers are SUPER slow. I like using the self checkout option but if you have more than 15 items they won't let you go through it-what's the point of having 20 self checkout registers if you can't use them. Super dumb rule. They are always empty too. Other than that, I find a lot of grocery items here are much cheaper than HEB so I make it a point to shop here a little more frequently. read more

Walmart 2801 Hwy. 1431 Cedar Park, Texas 78613 I have tried on numerous occasions for the last year to convince management at this location to place antibacterial wipes at both entrances to wipe the cart handles down. They absolutely refuse to do this. This is the only location I have been to that refuses to do the logical thing. Remember when we were all going to die of COVID? I pointed out to management that the general public has terrible personal hygiene. They were unswayed. So, this is what I do when I go there. I go straight to the Cleaning Supplies aisle and open a container of antibacterial wipes and wipe the cart down. I recommend that all shoppers do this for your own safety. I was told that the containers get stolen from the entrances. Okay, place spray bottles of Antibacterial spray and paper towels at both entrances. I ordered online for curbside pickup. The young man who loaded my groceries was very friendly and professional. However, when I got home, my tomatoes were moldy and I was given cilantro instead of parsley. I submitted a survey and indicated the error and I received a canned response from the manager (Megan Quintero) who basically said, "Oh, sorry." And no offer to adjust or correct their error. Today I bought a bag of Caesar salad mix and the lettuce was all brown. Since I'm midway between Georgetown and Cedar Park, I'll shop there going forward. read more

I came here to do a return from an online purchase I made. I went on a Sunday evening and amazing there was no line at Customer service. The service was quick and fast and I started the return online and they just needed my barcode for the return. Once they confirm that it was the right product they process my return quickly. I am also glad they are aware that when returning to PayPal their receipt will state zero dollars for the return even though it is not. She let me take a photo of the internal receipt as proof which was nice. Once it was done and complete even before I left PayPal already email stating that the return was completed and I will get my money back soon. Appreciate that they knew what they were doing and knowledgeable about PayPal returns. read more

My son went to this Walmart and was verbally assaulted by the old bald man up at the front of the store because he sat on a mobility scooter. My Son has Ataxia and tried to explain his condition to the gentleman but he insisted that my son could walk just fine and completely ignored him because he is a younger guy. The tire and auto center has some of the best staff. Bobby is awesome and the people at the counter are also fantastic. I bring my vehicles there to get oil changes and other fluids checked. I'm perennially lukewarm about Walmart, but I have to give kudos where they are deserved. This particular outlet has the advantage of being on the periphery of several developing neighborhoods, so it's not crowded as all get-out for most of the day. Unfortunately, this Walmart has the twin trademark problems of iffy customer service (this time the cashier was reasonably fast, but that's about it) and even more iffy produce/meats. Some of the fruit looks a bit picked-over, and while the meats are fine, to my surprise they're not the bargains you'd expect. Where Walmart shines is in the dry / frozen / canned goods area. Basically, if it comes in a box, carton, or can you'll get a decent deal. For example, a particular 13oz bottle of Ogx brand shampoo costs $8.49 at the local drugstore. That same bottle is only $5.79 here. A jar of 'Oui' brand yogurt is $1.79 at the local Randall's, while it's only $1.34 here. Multiply that by, say, a couple dozen items and it starts to add up. So, shop on the off hours, avoid the crowds, don't expect too much from the personnel, 'buy dry', and you'll save a bundle of cash. read more

I've never been to this Walmart location until recently. After the amazing one on 620 near 2222 closed, I haven't visited a Walmart in a while. This location was as close as it comes to the other one. It is very clean and well organized! Which to me is quite surprising, the other Walmart in the area is the opposite and I avoid going to it at all cost. I took my time in here while I was shopping around because it was actually quite pleasant to shop at. There were plenty of check out lines open when I was ready, there was no line and the employees were friendly. There was plenty of parking here and they even give you bags for free! (Such an Austin thing to not get bags) No complaints, I'm quite glad I stopped in. I would come here again if I had to go to a Walmart! read more

I am one of those folks that judge a business by the cleanliness of their restrooms. This gives me a basic idea of the pride management and employees have in their business. This also gives me a view of the overall health standards of a business. This particular Walmart has the cleanest looking and smelling restrooms that I have encountered in a longtime. I want to give credit to Walter who I witnessed diligently scrubbing the men's room sinks. I was met with a friendly greeting as he continued to work. After having several issues with the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables we received we decided to give Walmart a try. Personally I find the Walmart app easier to use and it's much more responsive. The quality of fruits and vegetables is excellent. Ordering and pickup are simple and efficient. We were in Round Rock looking for a cushion for an outdoor bench. All of the stores are putting away summer stock. Now it's holiday items everywhere. I decided to call this store in Cedar Park as they had the cushions two weeks ago. The lady in lawn & garden dept went to check. They had a few left. The CSM (?) let us buy it for 1/2 price. We realize that we probably got a 1/2 price deal due to it being the end of season. But the 5 star rating is for the employees being friendly and helpful even over the phone. This is not always so with some Walmarts. Way to go Cedar Park store. Will shop at this store on Whitestone Blvd more often. read more

If I had the option of giving 0 stars I would give it This location has horrible customer service. We took our vehicle there to get a battery. They replaced the battery but failed to latch the hood of my vehicle correctly. I was not aware of this because it appeared to be closed. When I was driving home on 1431 the hood came unlatched opened and hit the windshield of my car destroying the hood and shattering the glass all over me and my front passenger. I called the store to explain what had happened and they told me they would file a claim with their claims department. Unfortunately they denied our claims saying they had video footage of the hood being closed. That was never the issue. The issue was the hood did not stay latched because it was not closed properly. We were left with thousands of dollars in repairs on our vehicle because The hood was not closed properly and they refused to take any responsibility for this damage. Please take my advice and do not take your vehicle there to have any kind of automotive work done. I will never shop at that location or any other Walmart location ever again because they have horrible customer service and refuse to take responsibility for damaging property. read more

Shopping in this location is similar to every other Walmart shopping experience. Satisfactory enough. However working at this location was less than satisfactory and had I not seen behind the curtain so to speak at their management and their workers. I probably would still think this is a great store. Unfortunately I know that it's poorly managed and the workers are miserable. I guess that doesn't matter if the store is making the numbers to say up and running but a clean house on management would be a good thing to consider. read more
