However, someone stole me that I can do this myself, so thought I start this DIY project of recharging my car AC. I checked walmart, autozone and advance auto but NAPA had a deal equivalent or better than the competitors. Not sure why I didn't just call O'Reilly first; probably because I thought the car was too old for them to have parts available. Next time they will be my first call. They had the pump available the same day, price was excellent, and they are having it delivered at no charge to my mechanic. I am embarrassed to not recall the name of the man who assisted me, but not to worry - there are only the best of people working there. In the past 18 months I have bought 2 batteries there, a few tools, and a steering pump for a 1980 car. I have gotten some great advice and always been treated with respect professionalism and courtesy, even when asking stupid questions :) Let's make sure we all make a point to purchase there; the store may be part of a chain, but it feels like and runs like everyone there is our local neighbor.

He did have a battery terminal and as I pulled the money out of my pocket which was $25.00 asking how much he said $25.00 seemed like a lot but you never know. I looked up the part online and he charged me about 3 times more than I would have paid elsewhere. I feel that I got ripped off. I feel I was knowingly ripped of . But the true loss is his because I have a Passat that needs repair and I thought I might bring the vehicle there. So he lost that business ,and his showed himself to be dishonest.

CP Tire said the car failed inspection and quoted me more than $2000 to get it to pass. I went for a second opinion and the second garage said I didn't need any of the work quoted.
