    Walmart

I visited on 2-7-2026 no problem. I visited and I got some fruit because when I visited the Walmart near me I forgot to get some. I go there often and I forgot to even check in there. I would give five stars I can't because a parking spot was the only one available on the top side of the building was occupied with 2 buggies so instead of me parking there I had to go in the underground parking area. Pull up and check them out.

They even acknowledge that they suck

TERRIBLE customer service!! Try Target instead! I placed an online order but needed to make a change. Upon trying to make changes my order was completely cancelled. I have been waiting a full week for my refund. Only to be told that it would be 10 whole days for a single refund. I have honestly never had to wait so long from ANY store. Save yourself the disappointment, hassle, and wasted weeks of your life

Miracle whip, expired that I got in my online order. Yesterday

My wife did an online order, it was really bad. Ordered miracle whip, it's 6 months expired, we ordered tomatoes, they look and smell bad no firmness what so ever. I will never do online again, now I know how you get rid of your trash. Instead of throwing away your expired food you sell it to your customers. I thought maybe they will actually have quality control, absolutely not. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

    Carts everywhere. No one cares.

Dirty, disorganized, poorly stocked mess of a location. The employees are all in their own little world. Most of them have in earbuds. And one last thing I'll mention is the PA system. On my most recent unfortunate need to go here it was like three employees where having some sort of petty argument over the intercom. What were they saying? Who the hell knows it was squaked at top volume and repeated 5 or 6 times. And I'm sure I know what it wasn't about... helping any customers! Seriously, they ought to shut this place down. The parking garage smells like piss and weed. There's no drive-thru for the pharmacy. The automotive department is a joke. The meat all looks like it's on the way out. It's just always a bad experience at this Walmart.

Assorted pies, including cherry pie, for only $3.98. Cheap.

We stopped by this Walmart Supercenter on a Saturday afternoon after having lunch in the same shopping center, Suburban Plaza. This is a relatively new Walmart (opened 2015) and shopping center. There's really not much that differentiates this Walmart Supercenter from other Walmart Supercenters I've been to, in cities big and small. It does have an underground parking garage which I recommend parking in due to the limited surface lot area outside. When we visited, the escalator that brings shopping carts down to the garage was out of order. Also, one of two elevators was out of order. Therefore, if you wanted to bring a shopping cart to your car parked in the garage, you'd have to wait on the one working elevator. I guess one working elevator is better than nothing, but on a busy Saturday, it was not a good situation. We picked up various groceries and household supplies. I'm a regular at my neighborhood Walmart on Howell Mill Road in Atlanta. The layout of this store in Decatur threw me off. I didn't know where anything was and I felt like a chicken walking around with its head cut off. This store was busier and more congested than my regular Walmart on a Saturday. One thing I have to hand to Walmart is, in my experience, they usually have fresh and good quality bananas on Saturdays and Sundays. I was able to find some here for $0.40/lb. The kale selection was sad and did not look good so instead we picked up kale across the street at Sprouts Farmers Market. We did pick up some asparagus, but in hindsight, should have purchased it from Sprouts because: (a) Sprouts' asparagus was organic, better quality, and cheaper and (b) when cleaning Walmart's asparagus at home, my fiancee found mold on it. Yikes. This Walmart is bigger than my regular Walmart (also classified as a Supercenter) and it has a better selection. For example, this Walmart has an entire aisle dedicated to wine and it sells live fish for aquariums. You can get various house-baked pies here for only $3.98 a pie. They have apple pie with cinnamon, Dutch apple pie, caramel apple pie, and cherry pie (dunno if it's damn good). While we were shopping, they made an announcement over the speaker system that free jewelry was being given away to *every* customer in the store. Customers were directed to a jewelry counter to claim their free jewelry. This was close to the toiletries section and when we made our way over there, it was obvious what the crowd of people was for. There was a lady with a headset on giving her sales pitch for what I presume to be a particular brand of jewelry. The rows of people surrounding her were 3-4 deep. It looked like a live infomercial. Despite all the people, checkout wasn't bad. All the checkout lanes staffed with employees were backed up with customers with packed carts. We entered the self-checkout line which moved at a relatively brisk pace. We had no issues checking out, but it was inconvenient when the cart escalator was broken and there was only one working elevator to the garage. We emptied our cart and carried our bags down the stairs instead.

Free parking can be hard to come by in Emory Village because of all the restaurants (and retail businesses) and limited parking lots in the immediate area. Luckily, if you're a customer of this CVS, you can park in their free and relatively spacious lot directly outside. Just don't walk off the property after shopping here or you'll get booted or towed. I last stopped by this CVS to pick up a tube of "After Bite" ($4.99 for 20 grams) for a mysterious bug bite/sting I sustained earlier in the day. The cream really didn't help much. It was disappointing. So much for the "Instant Relief!" advertised on the box. I think perhaps my bite/sting was too severe for the cream to help. In hindsight, I probably wouldn't have bought it. The store was clean, brightly lit, well-stocked, and compactly and efficiently organized. The staff was friendly and they greeted customers as they walked in. When you're ready to pay, you can have an employee ring you up or you can use one of multiple self-checkout stations. I went with the latter and had no problems. In the end, I think this CVS is A-OK (3 stars), but I'm bumping it up to 4 stars because it's open 24/7 and the staff was nice.

I went to pick up some prescriptions, but 2 of them weren't ready, so I waited for about 15 minutes or so and came back to the cashier to pick them up. That's when I was told their system was down and they couldn't finish processing my order. Since I use public transit for the handicapped and I had a few minutes before pickup time, I asked the lady at the counter how long it would take for the system to come back on line and she said it would take 15-20 minutes. Since I had the time, I told her I'd like to wait. After 20 additional minutes, an announcement came over the store's PA system saying that all transactions were cash-only since the store's entire system had crashed. Realizing that I had ample cash to pay for my order, I approached the check-out counter and informed the cashier that I had sufficient funds to pay cash, but she still refused to fill my order. When I protested that I was using para-transit services, and I would have to make a second trip, somebody called out from behind the counter, "Ahhh, he doesn't have a car", and everybody called out from behind the counter, "Ahhhhh" all in unison! I have never in all my 70 years been shown such extreme contempt and disrespect for the elderly and disabled such as myself. I have already moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy, and I will never shop at another CVS ever again. I would strongly advise all others to do the same.

This CVS is located in the busy Midtown Place shopping center (the one with Whole Foods and Home Depot). However, it's somewhat "hidden" off to the side in its own building and has a separate, dedicated parking lot that is much less congested than the main shopping center lot. The pharmacy was experiencing a small, after-work rush of pickups, but the employees worked calmly and efficiently to keep the line moving. Our go-to is the CVS inside the Atlantic Station Target, but they were out of the particular medication needed. I trusted that promise for my business needs, only to waste valuable time, money, and energy. My entire schedule was disrupted because CVS couldn't deliver on what they so boldly advertise. That inconvenience had a direct impact on my business--deadlines missed, clients waiting, and stress I didn't need. To make matters worse, when I went in on Sunday, August 31st at 11:05 a.m., the shift lead I dealt with was beyond unprofessional. Rude, dismissive, and absolutely unwilling to help--exactly the opposite of what you'd expect from someone in a leadership role. Instead of owning up to the failure or offering a solution, they made the situation worse. This was my last straw with CVS. I will never trust or use their services again. If you're thinking of relying on their so-called "same day" promises for anything important, don't. Save yourself the frustration, because CVS clearly doesn't value honesty, professionalism, or their customers' time.
