TERRIBLE customer service!! Try Target instead! I placed an online order but needed to make a change. Upon trying to make changes my order was completely cancelled. I have been waiting a full week for my refund. Only to be told that it would be 10 whole days for a single refund. I have honestly never had to wait so long from ANY store. Save yourself the disappointment, hassle, and wasted weeks of your life

Miracle whip, expired that I got in my online order. Yesterday

My wife did an online order, it was really bad. Ordered miracle whip, it's 6 months expired, we ordered tomatoes, they look and smell bad no firmness what so ever. I will never do online again, now I know how you get rid of your trash. Instead of throwing away your expired food you sell it to your customers. I thought maybe they will actually have quality control, absolutely not. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

    Carts everywhere. No one cares.

Dirty, disorganized, poorly stocked mess of a location. The employees are all in their own little world. Most of them have in earbuds. And one last thing I'll mention is the PA system. On my most recent unfortunate need to go here it was like three employees where having some sort of petty argument over the intercom. What were they saying? Who the hell knows it was squaked at top volume and repeated 5 or 6 times. And I'm sure I know what it wasn't about... helping any customers! Seriously, they ought to shut this place down. The parking garage smells like piss and weed. There's no drive-thru for the pharmacy. The automotive department is a joke. The meat all looks like it's on the way out. It's just always a bad experience at this Walmart.

Assorted pies, including cherry pie, for only $3.98. Cheap.

We stopped by this Walmart Supercenter on a Saturday afternoon after having lunch in the same shopping center, Suburban Plaza. This is a relatively new Walmart (opened 2015) and shopping center. There's really not much that differentiates this Walmart Supercenter from other Walmart Supercenters I've been to, in cities big and small. It does have an underground parking garage which I recommend parking in due to the limited surface lot area outside. When we visited, the escalator that brings shopping carts down to the garage was out of order. Also, one of two elevators was out of order. Therefore, if you wanted to bring a shopping cart to your car parked in the garage, you'd have to wait on the one working elevator. I guess one working elevator is better than nothing, but on a busy Saturday, it was not a good situation. We picked up various groceries and household supplies. I'm a regular at my neighborhood Walmart on Howell Mill Road in Atlanta. The layout of this store in Decatur threw me off. I didn't know where anything was and I felt like a chicken walking around with its head cut off. This store was busier and more congested than my regular Walmart on a Saturday. One thing I have to hand to Walmart is, in my experience, they usually have fresh and good quality bananas on Saturdays and Sundays. I was able to find some here for $0.40/lb. The kale selection was sad and did not look good so instead we picked up kale across the street at Sprouts Farmers Market. We did pick up some asparagus, but in hindsight, should have purchased it from Sprouts because: (a) Sprouts' asparagus was organic, better quality, and cheaper and (b) when cleaning Walmart's asparagus at home, my fiancee found mold on it. Yikes. This Walmart is bigger than my regular Walmart (also classified as a Supercenter) and it has a better selection. For example, this Walmart has an entire aisle dedicated to wine and it sells live fish for aquariums. You can get various house-baked pies here for only $3.98 a pie. They have apple pie with cinnamon, Dutch apple pie, caramel apple pie, and cherry pie (dunno if it's damn good). While we were shopping, they made an announcement over the speaker system that free jewelry was being given away to *every* customer in the store. Customers were directed to a jewelry counter to claim their free jewelry. This was close to the toiletries section and when we made our way over there, it was obvious what the crowd of people was for. There was a lady with a headset on giving her sales pitch for what I presume to be a particular brand of jewelry. The rows of people surrounding her were 3-4 deep. It looked like a live infomercial. Despite all the people, checkout wasn't bad. All the checkout lanes staffed with employees were backed up with customers with packed carts. We entered the self-checkout line which moved at a relatively brisk pace. We had no issues checking out, but it was inconvenient when the cart escalator was broken and there was only one working elevator to the garage. We emptied our cart and carried our bags down the stairs instead.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way... This has been my farmers market ever since I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago. What keeps me coming back isn't just what they have--it's who they have. The staff here has always made me feel like family. Whether it's the sweet gentleman who cuts the fresh pineapple, the gentleman preparing fresh coconut water, or the ladies at the checkout counters, everyone is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Those interactions may seem small, but they're a big part of why I continue to return year after year. Of course, the selection is incredible as well. This is where I buy most of my fresh fruit, a lot of my meat, and--let's be honest--my desserts too. Speaking of dessert, there is one item I absolutely have to mention: the fruit tart. I've tried fruit tarts from all over, and I can honestly say this market has my favorite one. Every single year, it's become my birthday tradition to pick one up, and I look forward to it just as much as the celebration itself. It really is that good. One thing I've always appreciated is the consistency. No matter which part of Georgia I've lived in over the past decade, I've continued making the drive because I know exactly what kind of experience I'm going to have every time I walk through the doors. A couple of helpful tips if you're visiting for the first time: * While the parking lot can look busy, I've almost always been able to find a space. You may have to park a little farther away, but a few extra steps are well worth it. * Also, be sure to come prepared--this market accepts debit cards or cash only, so credit cards aren't accepted. There are plenty of farmers markets around Atlanta, but this one has always felt like home to me. Between the incredible selection, consistently fresh products, and the kindness of the people who work here, it's a place I'll continue returning to for years to come.

There are over a dozen people waiting in their vehicles for orders to be brought out, and Kroger has one little guy on duty (who appears to have some severe cognitive problems) bringing one order out at a time, and even then only once every 15 minutes. It's so bad that people are getting out of their cars to mob the poor fella anytime he finally comes outside (see the pics). I don't blame the kid, he seems completely overwhelmed (on multiple levels); I blame the store for staffing only one person with special needs at rush hour - my guess is because they are legally allowed to pay someone with special needs less an hour than a regular worker. A perfect example of a penny pinching corporation. Any frozen or perishable food items are definitely melted by now. I'm going on 50 minutes of waiting now. Update: poor kid forgot to set the brakes on the cart and let it slam into a woman's car. Then he tried to rub the dent out with his hand lol smh ‍ Update again!: 1.5 hours later he finally got to my car. I sternly encouraged him to ask someone/anyone inside for help. He said "there is no one". I told him he should maybe try his manager then. He said his manager is busy actually doing the grocery shopping for the pickup orders. What a cluster.....
