Bring your patience with you because the lines are always super long. The ambiance was busy, I even waited in line for ten minutes for the express checkout line. The line was down the aisle. So I visited on 8-6-2026 to go to Publix. I've been here a lot of times and I forgot to review. I bring my mom here often when she does her shopping for groceries. I go to the kitchen area for the fresh cooked food available. I got some oven baked wings this time around and the brisket sandwich. My brother was talking about it like it is good. I tried the southern style sandwich. It's good I will give it a 6.5 maybe a 7. I'm bias to Buccees brisket sandwich for real! Pull up and check them out for yourself. I ordered a carrot cake cheesecake online from the Bakery to pick up in 48 hours. I recieved the confirmation and email alert that it was ready to pick up. When I showed up to pick it up, the bakery couldn't find it and then told me that the baker made a carrot cake instead of the carrot cake cheesecake that I ordered. I was told to come back the following day. When I showed up the next day, again they told me they couldn't find it. Another worker told me that they Publix discontinued the cakes, despite me ordering and paying for the cake previously. After a whole lot of confusion and back and forth it turns out the baker did not properly label my cake and it was indeed in the cooler. When I asked if she could confirm when it was called in she told me there was no way of knowing. This store at this location continues to disappoint, because of the lack of on shelf alternatives. Time after time I can find at two Decatur Krogers what I cannot find at East Lake Glenwood. Plus there are two other problems: the refusal to change the sound track and to restock Daiya NY Cheezecake. These two requests continue to be totally disregarded. Also it would be a great touch if PBR in 12 can/12 oz packs would be regularly restocked and it Fresh Step 7 day non-clumping cat litter once again be stocked in 7# sacks. I am a personal assistant to several elders in the area. The only thing that I do for them is shop. I arrived to this Publix location around 8:00 a.m. today I was shopping for some green and red grapes in the small containers. They had a few other options but not what my client had wanted. They had two real nice ladies behind the counter they offer to fix a small container for me. I told them thanks, and I advise them that I would be back to pick up the grapes. On my way back my client text me and ask if I could get two more I told her I'm sure I could. So as I begin to ask the ladies about adding two more containers, this loud, disrespectful, rude, distasteful man interrupted and demand that they will not fix no more for me and told them not to every do it again. I found out that he was the produce mgr. The name on his badge was Al. I've shop at Publix for many many years and I always categorize them as the chic filet for supermarkets. Because of their exceptional customer service that you receive from the employees. They go above and beyond to assist you if they can. Publix is not a good fit for that manager he is horrible to the customer and to the employees that work under him. As I past back through the department to pick up other items. He shouted BOY I TELL YOU!!!! Really loud and directed it to me. I just kept shopping so that he could finish completing his tantrum. Any way Mr Alix and Reginald was very very helpful and gave excellent customer service. I gave them each a star. Al seem to have some sort of angry issues/problems. So sad read more

All I have to say is this publix needs new management, and that may include upper. I have never been to a publix that was so nasty. Floors were nasty, I went to get strawberries and all that was left was molded(because I'm a good shopper, I informed an employee, who said they didn't have any more in the back and to be honest look Embarassed). Many of the shelves were empty or disheveled, there didn't seem to be much floor coverage, except for the people putting stuff out but they weren't engaged, this was my first and last time at this Publix. We passed Kroger to come to this publix because, publix usually has better produce, but we should've just tried out Kroger! read more

I bought $15 worth of ground beef. One day after the sell by date it had turned gray and smelled like a dead animal. They said bring it back. I said it'll be Saturday before I can and it smells so bad that I threw it it in my compost area. They said "no big deal, on Saturday just go get it, put it in a bag and bring it in." This is my local Publix. It continues to be a mix of good and bad experiences. Lately, not so good. The service areas are usually the bad experiences. The deli is the worst attitude you'll ever have from a service counter. CHECK EXPIRATION DATES ON EVERYTHING! Worst of any grocery store. I get every now and then, but the packaged meat was a month expired, yogurt two weeks, etc. You really have to check at this location. Today, was the pharmacy. Plenty of snarky attitude and a 45 min wait for a prescription while my husband (who is two hours fresh from surgery) is waiting in the car on a pain med. Was 2:36 when I dropped off, checked again at 3:06 just in case- but told would be around 3:30 or later. I left. I'm hoping things will get better at this location or I'll just shop somewhere close to work or Whole Foods when they open. Taking my prescriptions elsewhere though. 8.30.17- Just gets worse. Update: 2.16.18. Prescriptions called in to them by accident, had it transferred to Tyrone location. They still screwed it up. Never transferred it. The Pharmacy Manager at this location is one of the rudest individuals I've ever met. Glad to finally be rid of them. read more

This Publix is the closest grocer store to my house and I probably visit it on average once a week. (Hello stalking weirdos!) What I like about this Publix is its convenient location, ample parking and consistent cleanliness. I've also noticed that the workers here interact with each other while still managing to do their work. (I noticed this because it's not always true in other businesses.) I've done other random things in this Publix besides buy groceries such as buy stamps and send a fax (yes, sometimes this is still required). I also occasionally pick up one of the recipe cards you see around the produce and meat areas; they are pretty good. This Publix isn't my favorite grocery store because I have to be a creative shopper here. I can make a list and include "fruit" but I can't specifically include "bananas" because Publix may not have any that day. I can also include "yogurt" but Publix has stopped carrying the honey yogurt I prefer so I had to figure out a substitute while hoping one day my honey yogurt will return. What I want is available in some form as in there will be fruit and yogurt available, but I may have to think about the kind of fruit and yogurt I want to eat that time around. On one hand, this is good and gives me a variety of foods in my diet, but on the other hand, this is bad because sometimes I'm tired and I just want to pick up some bananas. Overall, this is a great grocery store, and I'm thankful that it's so close to my home; this is a privilege that I'm aware of. (Note: In my effort to make it to 100 reviews by the end of the year, I'll be reviewing dull places like Publix, and for that, I apologize. No matter the time of day or how far in advance I've ordered over the past year or two, not a single pick up has ever been ready at the pickup spot at the promised time, often not even started. Deli staff act annoyed when I ask if it's ready or am frustrated with the HOURS of time wasted by this. This Publix is nice to have just around the corner in East Lake. The just remodeled so it's looking extra fresh inside, and my wife swears the meat and seafood department has stepped it up a notch. As for the rest of the selection, you may not always be able to find the EXACT brand you're seeking (this is an in-town model, mind you) you'll always find an equivalent. One of the best Publix in Atlanta. Alwasy fresh seafood, always fresh vegetables, and always freindly staff. Across from the East Lake Golf Course community, and next to a Goodwill. The ladies that make the fresh deli/hot sandwiches and food arent afraid to lay on the seasonsings, and toppings. One of the best Philly Cheese steak sandwichs at a Publix. If you want Publix brand, be sure to tell them, otherwise they are going to give you the Boars Head. (only the best for you:) One thing I really like (and I'll probably get jinxed for sayin it), but I have never been panhandled at the Publix. This review is specific to the DELI. The wait time for the sandwich line is flat out disrespectful. I literally waited like 20 minutes once. So, I ordered online going forward. Simply put, they don't pay attention to the instructions for the online orders. SMH. this has happened to me multiple times. I've ordered a HALF and got a WHOLE (had to pay the price difference because they didn't read HALF) SMH. Ridiculous!!! One of the more busy Publix Super markets i've visited, this location's parking lot is always slammed when I visit. I think that's in part due to the interesting set up of this publix lot, but you typically can always find a spot to park Beyond the busy nature of this store, everything else is what you're used to, including the slammed deli (courtesy of the pub subs) at all hours of the day. I came in for a few items today and they had everything I needed. Customer service was just fine and I didn't have to wait too long in line. This location is off of Glenwood, which is a nice bonus in terms of groceries go, and exiting out onto glenwood ave isn't a problem at all. I like publix, love their bogos and their excellent subs. If parking was a little less congested, the star rating would go up, but for now, this location is A-okay! read more

I told her I was throwing a Belle party (Beauty and the Beast) and she designed the most beautiful cupcakes and 5" cake for her. I was expecting plain yellow but she make the cake look gold iridescent with beautiful rosebuds. This is my local Publix so unfortunately I have to patronize this location from time to time. Every single time I try to get A sandwich there is an extremely long wait. So Today I figured I try to order in advance. I placed my order and the earliest I can pick it up is 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I go in, give them my name And the guy says he's working on it. I watched three people get their sandwiches as I'm still waiting for mine to be completed. I go shopping in the store to pick up some popsicles, come back and ask about my sandwich. The man replies he's working on it. At this point it's been 40 minutes since I placed my sandwich order,and countless people got their sandwiches,but I don't have my freaking sandwich. Yay Publix! This location is my closest Publix and my grocery store of choice. There are like, three Krogers within two miles of me but this is where I shop. Why? - the bakery - the fried chicken - the subs - most importantly, the service This Publix in particular is pretty quiet compared to the traffic nightmares that are the Edgewood and Glenwood developments. It is kind of annoying when there's a line of cars standing along the curb in front of the store because apparently they're too important to park like regular people. But I started coming in to the lot from the back to avoid them. My only disappointment is the craft/local beer selection. I have to give that win to Kroger. I was in awe the last time I was at Edgewood Kroger (not by choice). Publix for life! read more

This is the little Publix that could. I grew up a Publix girl in Florida, and I'm used to big glossy shiny Publix stores, so when I first walked into this one, I couldn't help but be disappointed. That all said, other than it being small in square footage, this Publix has slowly grown on me. It's convenient to those of us in EL, EAV and Kirkwood for one. Second of all, the service and employees here are always so helpful and much nicer than dealing with that other store in Edgewood that starts with a K and sounds like Rover. Finally, I never have to worry about finding a parking spot at this Publix like I do that K-Rover spot over in Edgewood. I hate grocery shopping, the last thing I want to do is circle the parking lot for 5 minutes trying to find a spot and not kill a pedestrian in the process. That always seemed to be the case at K-Rover in Edgewood, but not my tiny little Publix. True their selection is small, but they have most anything you really need, and they do it with a smile. They also are really good about putting out the Publix Coupons. I've noticed not all Publix stores are as generous w/ the coupons as this Publix. They're out of items constantly, the staff is super slow and incompetent, and management just doesn't care to correct anything. They ran out of bread in the deli today. I shit you not. And not just one type of bread, all the bread! Their solution was some cheap sub bread they found in the aisle. Like dude, there's a bakery right next to you! You could at least source your bread from there! This is what I'm talking about. Like, how does management not get this? Who's the deli manager that allows this to happen? Who's the store manager that doesn't oversee the deli manager? Who's the district manager that isn't doing enough visits to this store for quality control? I had to give this Publix four stars, just not right for it to be rated one star when it's not a cracked-out, rat infested, dust on top of the canned goods, rotten produce, shady people in the parking lot grocery store. It is very clean and convenient to where we live (we could walk / bike there) and they have a vegetarian / vegan food section which is awesome when our fridge is empty and I don't feel like driving to Trader Joe's or Return to Eden. Yes, the people that work here don't always seem too happy to see you (unless they see my sleeve and ask me all sorts of questions about tattoos, which is getting old in general after all these years), but they aren't rude. They always say 'hello' if they're stocking an aisle, etc. I don't do my regular grocery shopping here, so I probably can't tell you as much as someone else.
