This Walmart is the worst Walmart I have ever encountered. There are never enough registers open, mostly because they only ever have one or two open, making the self checkout line stretch for a mile. Then there's the issue with their pickup department. I waited 20 minutes for someone to bring my pickup item to me. At that point, I could've went and bought it and left. It makes it pointless for me to even have done pickup. Why offer pickup then? This is not the first time this has been an issue here, and the problem is I checked in before I even arrived to prevent this. Their organization is sloppy, and every section usually a train wreck. To top it off every worker is always in a bad mood and unwilling to help you with anything. I'd go to any store in the neighborhood to avoid this Walmart. read more

This Walmart is on par with the others I've been to, with a couple notable exceptions: -Parking is underneath the store, save for a few spots at the front doors. Save yourself some time and just go directly underneath, you can usually find a spot next to the elevators. -There's only one area for entrance / exit, which makes sense given where parking is located, but is different from most stores I've been to. -The groceries here are relatively less well-stocked and "zoned" or arranged so that items are in the proper place. For example, I have a VERY difficult time finding spices or canned goods because it seems few employees show those areas any love. -The produce here doesn't get restocked frequently enough...if you go mid-week, you can find what you're looking for, but if you're a weekend shopper, they will likely be out of bell peppers and fresh herbs. The milk also goes very quickly, and there have been multiple times where the store only has whole milk left in stock (ie is completely out of skim, 1%, and 2%). -Aside from groceries, the store has a very wide variety of products that seem to be well kept and zoned well (this is nice to see, as it's a problem at some other stores). I've tried their grocery pickup twice and had very good experiences (which is why they get 4 stars). The prices online match their prices in store, and they were only out of one item on my list...totals get updated after items are weighted. I checked in on the app on my way to the store, parked, told them what spot I was in, a super friendly employee came out, groceries were put into my vehicle, and I was out of the parking lot within 10 minutes...super convenient way to avoid the hassle of dealing with not being able to find products (mentioned above) and the dreaded 1+ hour department store trip. There are definitely ways for the store to improve, but they're doing a good enough job. read more

Yelp needs a negative 5 stars option. This place F'ING sucks. They never have enough staff or checkout lanes open, they never answer their phone, they do not give a flying shit about their customers. After I asked the cashier if I had everything I purchased and she said yes, I left only to get home and discover that no, I did not have everything I paid for. Tried to call the store. 12 times. Someone sat there and listen to the phone ring for three minutes each time and then picked up the receiver and put it back down. These turds have no idea what Customer Service is and they don't even care. This is honestly my last buying experience with Walmart, period. I would rather pay three times the amount for what I need than to go back into the store again. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had. I asked three different walmart associates if they could assist me in finding an item in this location. I searched the website and it says the item is currently available. All three associates told me whatever is out that is all we have. NONE of them attempted to assist me in finding the item, none of them offered to check the back or look up the item inventory on their tablet. I have each associates name and will be notifying the copor office for this location. I would not advise anyone to shop here with the lack of customer service I received. read more

I'm not usually a Walmart shopper but it was convenient to our other errands and it's relatively new, so how bad could it be?... awful. My guess is that they are able to cut costs by never paying employees to clean the floors, arrange the products and help customers. Items spread all over shelves and the floor or in the wrong places. Such a shame for a new store to go down hill so quickly. Also, the cashier just sneered at us when we said hello and never spoke a word to us, then again... not a single employee said a word to us including the two women at the front door too busy having their own conversation. This location forces its customers to use self checkout because they have close to zero cashiers available during peak times. I've visited in the morning, afternoons, and in the evening. Hardly any cashiers, but plenty of associates on the floor. They have well over 20 registers....but MAYBE 2 registers open. They've got to do better!!! If they want us to check ourselves out then they need to be handing out some 1099's or W2's. read more

This is my first visit in this particular Walmart Supercenter. I absolutely love how clean and spacious this Walmart is. On the other hand, I ran into an issue or observe one actually. There's a Manager by the name of Sandtrice. I overheard her not only being rude to a customer advising them to go to a "Belt Line" and sent them to register 7 because of the items they had. In addition, I heard this manager use profanity saying the following, "She is a lazy m*****f****." Sitting here in subway, I think her activity is beyond unprofessional. I can't believe she used profanity and she was screaming asking if someone was at the door monitoring exits of merchandise. I'll return here again, but her actions definitely need to be addressed. read more

Convenience! (That's why I keep coming back, yelp) This Walmart is a little different in that the front lot is very long, but very limited. Still, there's a parking garage underneath the Walmart with plenty of parking. Inside, this Walmart is exactly like any other Walmart you've seen. As this Walmart is fairly new, it's still clean and organized, although customer service is hit or miss, as it is at any Walmart honestly. Located at the corner of North Decatur Road and Medlock Road, this area is definitely busy and getting in and out is facilitated by a traffic light (there are multiple exits though). To the left of Walmart is a strip of stores including Ross, Starbucks, LA Fitness and a few other stores, and just across the street is development of a First Watch Restaurant, as well as a Sprouts Market. So a few months from now not only will this be a convenient Walmart location, but a convenient area for me, and all those who live nearby! Nothing special about this particular location, other than where it is for me, but for me, that's good enough. read more

This is a review for the pharmacy only. Want to thank William, the pharmacist/manager and Robyn for all the time and effort they put in to making sure my husband and I got the vaccines we needed. Long story short, they went above and beyond. All the phone calls to the insurance company, looking up info in a data base.... And the collegial atmosphere; William is a great manager, he pitched right in working with Robyn to help get the info needed. And Robyn was "on it" with the insurance company. Kudos to them both! My only complaint has to do with mask wearing. There was a customer waiting near the pharmacy who had two masks in her hand, I don't know if anyone noticed her, but as I was there for a while, it dawned on me she was not wearing a mask. She started coughing and sniffling and did not even cover her mouth when she coughed. Then a young guy walked by with an associate wearing with his mask under his lip! I appreciate WM's policy about mask wearing, but some customers are ignoring this policy. Perhaps WM cd make periodic announcements reminding customers to be sure they are wearing their masks and wearing them properly. read more

I usually dread coming to this location becasue the employees are aweful, not helpful, don't smile and appear to hate their jobs however today a young cashier by the name of Amani restored my faith in this establishment. I was checking out Saturday Aug 17th at 3:34pm terminal SC011150 and a young lady by the name of Amani was my cashier. I'm a Senior citizen myself and I'm always observing how young people act around me and towards older senior citizens. There was a woman ahead of me and she must have been at least 20 years my senior. Amani was so patient with the woman answering all of her questions with a smile and a polite yes ma'am or no ma'am. She did not rush the woman and I smiled as I observed Amani's excellent service. I could not help but hope the cashier where my mother shops in Covington is an nice as Amani. Before I left I made sure I let Amani know I was observing her and I thanked her for the kind service. There were no carts available upon walking in. All of the carts were being used or just sitting in the parking lot. There were 4 younger "greeters" at the door just standing around conversing amongst each other and an older senior guy outside pulling carts from the lot. I was almost enraged seeing that. First of all the staff are rude as hell. Always have an attitude even with the simplest of questions. Shelves are always bare, and every time I go to the jewelry section no one is working the booth. This is my fifth trip to this location. I normally don't write reviews for such a large businesses but this is a special store. Because of their terrible parking situation I have to park all the way down by the garden center. Today marks the third visit in a row with the garden center being locked. There are plenty employees at the store but they are collected in groups standing around talking with each other not offering to help people. Because of the layout it is a huge pain to be forced to park all the way down at the end of the parking lot because of the size of my vehicle and not be able to get in the building close to where I'm parked. Imagine if the fire marshal stopped in and found this out. Or worse... Imagine if there was some sort of disaster that took place in this building. The manager needs to get it together and think about the big picture. I don't want this to sound like it's all about me. I just noticed something that could affect a lot of people in a big way. read more

I went to this Wal Mart for the first time today. It has now been open 8 weeks! There is very little parking on ground level. The main parking is underneath the store. This is actually better when it rains, but overall I prefer outside on ground level. On a Sat at 5:30pm there was plenty of parking underneath the store. Its one level down there. I go to the store entry. I look and think, is this new? It already looked old! The floor was dirty, the up escalator was broken and out of service, and ceiling tiles were missing or half covered. There is an elevator when the escalator isnt working so I go up that and the other entry looks shabby too. I enter the store and it looks much better than the entries. It seems like everyone is still setting up. Lots of help stacking shelves, etc. I was lucky to find the product I was there for, TILEX with the red band that says ROOT PENETRATOR. Its hard to find! You generally find a bare shelf elsewhere if that! If you have mildew/mold in the tub or shower that has gotten into the culking and has been nasty for ages, this will get it out better than anything else. I have been putting bleach and everything else on it for over 15 years and its been terrible until this product came along. Spray it on and let it soak, Rinse and do it again, and repeat a third time and you will be amazed. Few places carry it and it HAS to be the one with the red bad across the front that says ROOT PENETRATOR. The other Tilex wont work like this. It was $3.47. A deal! At check out I go to the self serve. There are 8 self serve checkouts but already 2 of the 8, thats 25% are broken and have sines on the inoperative. When you leave the garage your right in front of the corner where you WANT TO get into traffic but you CANT. Everyone has to make aright and go up hill and around to get out. What a way to have to leave the place! The inside of the store is average for a wal-mart, but given 2 stars due to look of entries and inop escalators and check outs when its only 8 weeks old read more

No one at Photo Shop until 12:20pm on a Sunday and then they ask me to stand there and wait even longer while they print my order that was supposed to be ready 2 days ago. It's just an annoying Walmart. Shelves always look like the whole overnight stock team went on strike. They never have things. Shelves are always empty. I have to bank on going to another store in order to complete my grocery list. They usually say hello when you walk in. Some times it's genuine, other times it's forced. Truth be told, the reason this or any store like Walmart might not have a good rating on a site like Yelp is because the hundreds or thousands of people who go their everyday and have a perfectly fine experience or go there regularly don't rate the place. I went there to pick up a site-to-store order. There was no line, the woman who helped me was nice and found my stuff in a timely manner. From what I saw the store was clean and just by looking at the produce section I actually might come back to get groceries here. Oh and I did see recently that Walmarts in Georgia and significantly increased the amount of Georgia grown produce they sell. So although I never really considered Walmart when I wanted to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables, I actually might start going there more often. Oh and a general Walmart tip -- if you are looking for something in particular you can save time by seeing if the store even has the item your looking for by looking on their website first. Also if you do check what you want and you add it to your cart online then when you go you sort of have your shopping list you can look at on your phone, but more importantly, IF THE ONLINE PRICE IS LESS THAN THE PRICE IN THE STORE YOU'RE IN, THEN YOU CAN SHOW THE CASHIER AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE ONLINE PRICE. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They may have to get the manager to approve it, but they will price match their website prices. Because the alternative is you can just buy it online and do site-to-store pick-up and pay the online price. A lot of stores will match their website price if you just show them (or show the right person). read more

I only shop at Walmart about once per month. This is probably one of the better walmarts in Atlanta-- the shelves were well stocked, they offer ample covered parking, and surprisingly most of their lines were actually open so my wait wasn't very long. However, their down escalator wasn't working, so everyone with more than a few bags had to pile into one of 2 elevators. I was squeezed in with 2 other people with large carts, so their elevators are pretty roomy. Walmart should either widen their aisles or offer smaller carts in addition to the current carts (like Kroger does), because it was very difficult navigating through the aisles with tons of large carts in the way every time I tried to get through. read more

My boyfriend and I went to go get a fish net for a fish we have at home. We walk into the fish aisle and see about 3 or 4 Better cups filled with absolutely disgusting filthy water (1 fish dead, another barely alive) We proceed to go over to the other cups to see the other fish. The color of the water looked like someone peed in them. We go to lift this cup up and see 2 dead beta fish rotting at the bottom of the cup. This is disgusting and THIS is why Walmart should not have live animals of any sort. Clearly no one has even fed or cleaned or worked with these fish in weeks. read more

At night, cash-out lines usually snake chaotically into the aisles and move at a snail's pace due to inadequate staffing. In addition, this Walmart is not always stocked with goods that other locations have. I return and tolerate it because it is the nearest Walmart to my home. Last Sunday night was mostly the same, except I had to contend with big mama. The self-check-out line was too long, so I headed for the remaining 2 cashier-serviced lines and jockeyed into the shortest one. At the cash register ahead, big mama was in no rush. As I neared her domain and loaded my items onto the conveyer belt, I committed the unspeakable sin of setting the plastic divider bar between my things and those of the shopper in front of me. Initially, I was naïve and thought all was well, but big mama avoided eye contact and did not greet me with a smile. The almost imperceptible flare of her left nostril indicated something was horribly amiss. Now, it was my turn to be cashed out in the payment area. Big mama stole a glance at me, made sure I was watching, then grabbed the plastic divider bar, and indignantly slid it into the track parallel to the conveyer belt. There was a large gap between my items and the immigrant family's behind me, but one of their daughters repeated my violation by inserting the plastic divider bar between their goods and mine. At this point, big mama glowered, snatched the plastic divider bar, and shoved it back into its proper place. Big mama was irritated and mumbled. The dad politely clarified that actually his kids were playing around and wanted the bar there. He reached over and placed the bar back on the belt. Woe to the foolish dad for challenging big mama! The audacity! Big mama was not amused!!! She ferociously seized the bar again and snarled, "I said you don't have to put the bar there, I am able to keep track of it all myself." Her competence and skills as a cashier had been gravely insulted! Because of the dad's transgression, big mama had no choice but to display her awesome powers over us puny customers by thrusting that plastic divider bar back in its slot and ordering that it not be further molested under penalty of death! We were scared. We now understood the consequences of questioning big mama's abilities and fell silent in shock and awe. After big mama finally finished ringing up my purchases, I watched intently as she shoved my carton of eggs into a bag. Not surprisingly, I heard a crunch. She didn't care since I was only an inconsequential peon. Out of fear for incurring the wrath of big mama, I debated whether it would be worth it to call out her error or just pay for it and move on. I surmised it was my right to inspect the eggs, so I asked, "Can I see those eggs?" Her brows furrowed, left nostril re-flared, and dark beady eyes glared as if to say, "...you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well do ya, punk?" I hesitated, adjusted my glasses, coughed, and dared anyways to assert that I heard a crack as she dropped my eggs. Big mama hissed, "I did NOT drop them." I opened the carton, and examined each egg one by one. Sure enough, the last egg was indeed, cracked. I pulled it out and triumphantly lifted it up high, like an Olympic torch, so that everyone in line could view the evidence and bear witness to what big mama had done. I demanded a refund. To this, big mama smirked with attitude and insisted rather smugly, "If you want a refund, you will just have to go to customer service and ask for it there!" Really!!!??? She couldn't just punch a few buttons on the cash register and cancel this purchase right then and there? But of course, big mama now had to save face and make it as inconvenient and time-consuming as possible for me to atone for her own clumsiness. At this singularity of space, time, and matter, big mama had complete control of my destiny, and she relished it! I stood there flabbergasted, debating whether to abandon my entire purchase in protest and simply walk out. With the idea of reporting big mama to the manager, I commanded her to "Tell me your name." She surprisingly backed down and decided to cancel that purchase as she should have done in the first place. Then, big mama sheepishly suggested I go back to the grocery section to get a replacement carton of eggs. Upon reflecting on how unreasonably long my comrade shoppers and I had waited in line and how late in the evening it was, I rejected her idea, declared that I didn't have time for her shenanigans, and insisted on the refund immediately. At that point, I checked my receipt to ensure the eggs were cancelled, gathered my belongings, and marched out the door. Justice prevailed! Maybe I should have filed a complaint anyways, but I'm sure big mama's day of reckoning is near. In the meantime, I wish her a good life but hope our paths will never cross again. read more

Aur...something was unapologetic and dismissive when I told her that I'd been there for over 20 mins. First of all, let me just tell you that gentrification is real. The last time I was in this area a few months ago, I thought that all they were redoing was the Suburban Lanes. I come back and see THIS. A new city of sorts lol. Any who. I like this Walmart. It has a parking garage attached to it and an elevator and (non-working escalator). Super convenient. Especially in the rain. Ask me how I know. (I just assumed. It wasn't raining that day. In fact it was scorchingly hot and dry.) Seems to be a nice and clean Walmart. I love that it has a full Arts & Craft section. One thing that I hate was lost when Walmart started renovating their stores the last few years. Customer service was great. Overall I give it a 4. Went online to order something and it said it was only allowed for in-store purchase at this store. So I get there to find the item not available. However what I did notice is this place is a potential Corona Virus hotspot. Over half of the customers were not wearing a mask and not practicing social distancing. People bringing their kids there running around. They did have plenty employees, but they are allowed to dress any old kind of way with the exception of the Wal-Mart vest. Lot's of jeans down and underwear being exposed by the employees, and looking they they just crawled out of bed. It was kind of depressing to be honest and I will not go back to that particular Wal-Mart in the future, ever. read more

I am so content that my parent's neighborhood has a Walmart. It is a gorgeous shopping facility, all under one roof. Groceries, clothing, household, dvds, etc. But, the issue with the new Walmart is service. No not that they are not friendly, but slow in service and registers not working the way the are suppose to. Spent more time at checkout the past two times I shopped than anything else. I worry that this Walmart will not gain its full potential in sales because of a poor checkout area and experience for customers. read more

There is an underground parking and you can actually feel the floor of the store shake as you walk above it.
