I have some how landed myself in a pinch again, the urge to poop strikes at an inconvenient time and I see the sign. The big blue sign for the forbidden rest room. Walmart. I took my chances and I am proud to say that it was a good decision. The temperature was a refreshing 72 degrees, the toilet seat was up and it wasn't pre warmed. Upon initial entry, the floors were clean, the sinks were dry and I saw both stalls open. Initial inspection of the stall showed a high level of cleanliness, a full stock of toilet paper and a welcoming seat. Decent flushing power, but not the best. The Derry Walmart is very close to me so I visit this store often. With that being said, I'm not a fan and will probably start going to the Walmart in Salem, NH. They are consistently OUT of a lot of grocery items I usually buy. Their meat section is severely lacking. It disgusts me when they are trying to sell brown meat. Take that spoiled meat out of the meat case!! I actually enjoy going through the self checkout lanes with conveyor belts. But 9 times out of 10 these lanes are closed and you're forced to go to the 2 or 3 regular checkout lines that are open. The Derry Walmart has made SOME changes, mostly reorganizing the store and moving things around leaving shoppers wondering where they can find the items on their shopping list. They are apparently going to be offering grocery pickup soon. I'll probably try this new service but have little faith that it will go smoothly. read more

I like shopping at this newer Wal-Mart Supercenter in Derry, which opened in 2012. I can find most everything I need to buy at good low prices under one roof. The former much smaller Wal-Mart was located down the hill across NH 28, which is now an Ocean State Job Lot. This 24 hour Wal-Mart Supercenter is pretty clean and the staff here seem friendly. This store has a similar atmosphere and layout as the Manchester (Gold St) and Hooksett locations with concrete floors (warehouse-like), food market area to the left, apparel/jewelry/housewares/furnishings in the middle, photo lab/books & magazines/electronics/office supplies in the back, outdoor merch/automotive in the back right, toys section/garden center on the right side of the store and a Subway in the front of the store. Similar to Manchester (Gold St), the pharmacy/health & beauty things/cosmetics sections at this store are located in the front right side of the store. The pharmacy in the Hooksett and Concord stores are located across from the food market section near the center of the store. I've bought many items from the Derry Wal-Mart Supercenter including big picture frames, magazines, fresh produce, salads, Lawry's seasoned pepper, cold drinks (beer & wine), personal hygiene items, OTC meds, toys, wipers, spray paint, calculators, movies, blank media, shoe laces, jogging shorts, and many other things. This Wal-Mart can get very busy at times and the checkout lines may get long including the self-checkout lanes. They will usually page all available associates to the registers when it gets this way. read more

On 02/05/21 evening went to Walmart in Derry, NH to purchase a car item. While there decided to purchase a Samsung 55 inch TV. A store employee helped us bring it to the car. However, it was slightly larger than the car trunk. I would fit in, but needed about 2-3 ft of twine to tie the car trunk down. I asked the sales employee if he had any twine his response we I just bring carriages in the store. No help, not even let me ask. So I brought the tv back into the store and asked if a store manger could help us, we needed some twine, she said we don't have any, you can purchase some or come back later. I guess this a case of a penny wise but a dollar foolish with the manager loosing a $400+ sale for not suppling a customer some twine. Ended up buying the same exact TV at Best Buy, which supplied 2-3 ft of twine read more

The customer service in this store is awful. I stood at the fabric cutting station for 40 minutes (on purpose after the first person said they would page someone). I watched team leaders or managers walk by. They told me they would page someone. On a few occasions I heard the page. Nobody responded. I had a associate from electronics page and I rang the bell several times. If it wasn't for the gentleman that they finally did get over there to cut my fabric being apologetic and nice I would have been even more upset. Today I went into store. I realized some items I bought previously were on sale. I brought the items back to get the price adjusted and they said they were not able to do it because it didn't fall into their 7 days policy. I then said can you return it and give it back to me to repurchase. Mind you I bought the items on the 5th of April and today is the 29th. I was told no. Sometimes in Customer Service that yes goes a lot further than you think. read more

their photo sections is absolute garbage. everyone working there isn't properly trained and doesn't know what they're doing. except for one guy andrew and he has the biggest attitude of them all. so either you get an incompetent or a rude employee to help you. they lost my pictures and kept saying it'll be there in a few days when it had been weeks. since it was to develop film, it was a send out order. and they said that the 'film developer' already received it so that they just have to get it on their computer to print it. and for almost a month they are saying they don't have it and hung up in my face. don't do ANY business with their photo section. read more

Maybe if there wasn't 40 plus carts all over the place on a windy day and an incompetent person gathering them it wouldn't have happened. I've lived in 7 states and frequent WalMarts regularly. Hands down this is the BEST WalMart I have ever shopped at. Clean, organized, stocked and friendly staff. Only complaint is long checkout lines, but that is only occasionally. Meats and produce aren't the best either but I feel this way about all WalMarts. UPDATE****** This used to be my favorite Walmart of all time and I've shopped at many Walmart's all over the country. It's always clean and so organized. The staff took pride in their store. But times have changed! They keep increasing the self checkout registers and decreasing cashiers. Recently there is usually only one register open with an actual cashier. And of course a really loooong line. Going through a self checkout with a lot of items is complicated. I'm not lazy. There's just not enough room and I cannot watch my toddler as well as I'd like to while I'm focused on scanning and packing items. My last trip there I used a coupon. Now the cashiers have to get a manager to approve a coupon! It took several minutes to get someone over to put the code in. They also started stocking the shelves during the morning hours. Yep the whole store, so good look maneuvering around giant stock carts in every aisle blocking items. It's frustrating. What happened to stocking while closed? I've also purchased salad dressing that was expired and grocery items that weren't sealed properly. Now I avoid Walmart to my best ability and when I must go I buy the least amount possible so I can get through the self checkout. I'm sad. I love bargains and saving money but it's not worth the stress! read more

If I could, I would rate a zero for the pharmacy at Walmart in Derry, That is what I would give them. At 5 pm I went in to pick up a prescription for myself and one for my husband. I was told his prescription was 92.00 when last month it was $19. I Refused it. Then I asked for mine. I was told it would take another 10 minutes. I said I would be back in an hour, have it ready then. An hour plus later I went back. Now I was told they had to order it and it wouldn't be in for 3 days. I've now wasted my time twice. Does this sound like a functioning pharmacy to anyone? Walmart pharmacy SUCKS. What other pharmacy closes for an hour in the middle of the day? What other pharmacy makes you speak with the pharmacist every time you pick up a prescription even if it's a drug you've been on for years. Avoid Walmart if at all possible. My insides are now boiling and I have no prescribed meds until Friday. read more

VEGAN OPTIONS NOW AVAILABLE! PREVIOUSLY, I would've given the Walmart grocery department 1 star b/c a majority of their food selections are unhealthy, over-processed, refined sugar, high calorie, high fat, loaded w/sodium goods. Recently however, delicious VEGAN options are available. After watching the PlantPure Nation movie free on YouTube & Forks Over Knives on DVD, I chose to become a Vegan. I want to reduce my risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity & other life altering diseases triggered by poor nutrition. I'm not "religious" about it but 95% of the time, I do try to make the healthiest choices to fuel my body & stay as healthy as I can. Today I noticed a wider variety of vegan selections...non-dairy soy based cheeses, vegetarian "meats" including burgers, dogs & deli slices (produce refridge section) that are plant based, a super delicious vegan pizza by Sweet Earth, almond/coconut milk yogurts, non-dairy milks (which they've carried for a while now.) etc. I'm happy I don't have to drive into Manchester & pay double-triple the price at Whole Foods any more. Hopefully they'll continue to broaden their variety to promote health & well-being! read more

Today I had a horrible experience with one of the associates at Walmart. I am disappointed at how this women acted when I asked her a question. She was in an aisle and I walked up to ask where something was located. She proceeded to say," First off I'm on lunch, so I don't want to help, and second I don't work in this section so find someone else." I thought it was very rude of her to say it in the tone of voice she did, like I was some dumb teenager. I will never go back to this Walmart again due to this poor experience, shame on that lady. read more

Their produce is disgusting There were actual webs on the grapes and they were shriveled along with the Mango's and really too many to list They corn on the cob husks were so dry. I relied on Walmart for their produce and Quality There is NO MORE QUALITY!!!!!
