Last night, I visited this location, which is not a new one for me. In fact, I've been coming to this store for the past 8 years, even though it's not always been the closest one to me. I'm very familiar with this location, but my experience last night left a bad taste in my mouth. While I won't mention the lack of stock on the shelves--since that's likely out of anyone mentioned's control--I will share what happened at checkout. I went through Register 22, and the cashier was pleasant, so no complaints there. However, as I was leaving, I passed a female employee standing near the exit on the side of the barbershop. I knew she was there to check receipts, so I informed her that I paid using Walmart Pay but wasn't sure how to pull up the receipt on my phone. She suggested I ask my daughter, who also couldn't find the option. The worker then stepped directly in front of my cart and said, "If you needed to return something, how would you?" I replied, "There's nothing in my purchase that I would need to return, so that didn't even cross my mind." (Just to clarify, all the items in my cart were groceries I had pre-planned for the week, as shown on the list I was holding.) She continued, "Hypothetically, if you needed to return something, I bet you'd find it." I responded, "Well, no, because nothing here needs to be returned. I would also have the option to ask customer service for assistance in locating the receipt." Instead of helping, she kept standing there, continuing to instigate the situation. So, I asked her, "Since I know I paid, what happens if I just walk out?" She responded, "That's an option, but something might come with it." I told her, "Ma'am, I just checked out at Register 22, and you can verify my purchase there, or you can call a manager for help finding my receipt." As we walked back towards the register, she noticed a male manager standing nearby. I explained the situation to him, and at first, he didn't know how to access the receipt on the app either. But after I showed him my phone, he remembered and was able to pull up the receipt. As I headed back towards the door to show the woman the receipt, I overheard her talking to another coworker, still bringing up the irrelevant question about returns. She then turned to the lady behind me and said she'd check her receipt first. Without even looking at mine, she dismissed me. After spending over $250 on groceries and going through a cashier lane rather than self-checkout, I didn't expect to be treated like a child being lectured about not locating a virtual receipt, nor like I was sure to be a thief. I understand that theft happens, but when all of my items were bagged except for a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper and a family-sized box of Lay's chips, and I went through a cashier lane, I highly doubt I was a threat. I work every day to uphold the law, and I certainly won't risk going to jail over some chips and soda. The employees who are tasked with checking receipts should have more training and more decorum when working with the public. I was not trying to be problematic, AT ALL, I just was unsure how to retrieve a receipt on an app that I rarely use and was grilled by an employee who also didn't know how to attain the document she was requesting. read more

I have been to a whole lot of Walmarts in my life, but this has got to be the worst one! I was in the area, and needed to pick up some items for dinner before heading home. Google maps brought me to this location. The first thing I noticed was a larger than usual crowds. I don't know if it was the time of day, or if it's always this busy. I mean it was the kind of crowd I would see on Black Friday or Christmas Eve! This particular store was dirty, unkempt, and unorganized. I can think of two reasons as to the poor appearance of this store: 1. Big crowds, and not enough staff to handle the demands of keeping the shelves organized and the floors clean, OR, 2. I am military member and never have time to get groceries at a decent time due to my work schedule. I won't get my money back for food until 7-10 business days... I stopped in this Walmart to pick up some things because I was in Douglasville and didn't want to wait till I got on my side of town. This is a humongous Super Walmart that stays open 24 hours. I guess I came at the right and wrong time. There were not a lot of shoppers in there which was a plus. Most of the registers were already shut down. No problem nobody in there. I had issue with this store because it looked like it had been ransacked. No matter what aisle you went in it was tossed. I was looking for specific items and was disappointed to find out this location didn't carry what I needed. Thank goodness for the app or else i would have been searching in vain. My other issue was that they were starting to restock the store. That's a good thing but it's so aggravating every aisle you go into you can't access what you need or you have to go back the long way to get out the aisle. The employees see folks trying to maneuver around them and they are of no assistance. It was very frustrating and just prompting me to leave with what I had chosen and not purchase more. read more

I called to inquire about a Marci standup bike; I waited 20 minutes before anyone answered at which time I was transferred and waited another 10 or so. Then they hung up. I called again, and waited and when I got someone on the phone I asked for her name and then a manager. I heard the phone being transferred 3 times and I even heard people talking and then putting the phone back on hold only to be DROPPED AGAIN!!! WTF!! HORRIBLE Car Service I never write reviews but this needs to be said. Went for an emergency tire change. Guy working on my car was always on his phone when I would walk outside to see how my car was doing. Would look up at me and look back down without a care in the world. Was assured the job would take maybe 20 minutes once he got started. I was there from 9am to 1pm. They put on a tire that had probably 3 times the tread depth, even though they assured me the tire was the SAME as the rest of my tires. Mind you, my car is brand new, the other tires were also brand new and unworn. They put on a completely different tire. Causing my car to drift and pull to the left when on the interstate. Dangerous. I had a tire pressure sensor warning on my car that I was assured would go away within 10 minutes of driving away. Never went away. I take my car to my dealership and the tell me my TPSM sensor is completely shot and that I will need to pay $360 to have the OEM part imported and installed on my car. Manager says they can't take returns, even though it had been driven on for only one day, but he tells me to call Customer Service and tell them that the tire doesn't fit my car. I try to call. But no one, and I mean NO ONE, answers calls at this store. I have never gotten someone on the phone with the countless times I have called. Horrible. Do not take your car here you WILL regret it. The old signs are still up but the groceries are somewhere else in the store! F you find your items then they're all gone, empty shelf or items picked over! Barely anything left. With the exception of one store, I don't think I've EVER seen a WM this bad. The pickup service is AWFUL (although the people are pleasant). The number to call for pickup has not worked in at least 4 or 5 months and they know it but STILL haven't changed it. They listed another number but only put it on ONE sign in one spot. I tried to pick up today and it wouldn't go thru at least 6 times. I called the store and NO ANSWER! This is the SECOND time that I have had this exact same issue. They were so busy today that there were no parking spots. After getting tired of waiting, I went inside to only be told that you can't pick orders inside anymore. Well this place is much better than the one on Thornton Road, but is much worse than the one in Powder Springs. Not sure why there is such a big difference but when you enter this location I swear I hear I Wish I was in Dixie Land" playing every time I come here. The current EX admits to being a little confused. The White half of him is usually humming that song and the Black half of him is like "WOW! Really?" LOL....He's gonna kill me for that! :) The store doesn't have much to offer. The clothes are a little old fashioned/country in my opinion. The food part is the best in this store. Good selections, even on Wine. Fruit and Veggies look good and you can always ask for better looking produce to be brought out from the back....Why do i know this? Cause Homie don't play that. I like fresh produce and expect it to be fresh or I do not purchase it! One good thing about this location is that they will often times have items cheaper in this store than they have them shown online. Rule with Walmart is to always print off what you see online and take it in with you just in case. I do like the kitchen section of the store, but find it to be pricey for Walmart. This Walmart is very unorganized. There are pallets of product all over the store more often than not. The isles are a disaster, cluttered and half empty. It's hard to find anything you need. Workers have no energy and always seem annoyed when asked for help. It's hard to get through anywhere since pallets are literally everywhere. Let me preface by saying that, in general, I hate stepping foot into any huge box store (Walmart, Target, whatever). And I REALLY don't like having to do shopping at Walmart here in Douglas Co. Between this location (which is basically a reverse layout Walmart...ugh!) & the other in Lithia Springs, it's never fun. BUT I went in yesterday to this spot for a bunch of stuff that I needed and I have to give them a solid 4 stars this time around. They've completely revamped the self-checkout system for the way, wayyyy better. It took me no time at all to check out thanks to the new layout, with a helpful staff person at the entrance (not exit! so much better) to direct you to the nearest self check station--and there are plenty of them now, all new with (wait for it) scales that WORK!! It made a mediocre shopping experience so much better. We'll see how long the upkeep lasts, but so far so good. Also, this location offers online shopping where you just drive up to pick up your purchase. I haven't tried it but a co-worker of mine says it's great. read more

I placed an online order. Not only was half of what I ordered out of stock when I checked in for my Fiancé who went to pickup the 2 remaining items and followed the pickup directions no one came out after 30 minutes. I sent him as I am recovering from Covid. Calling was futile...no one picked up when selecting the Pickup option or the option to talk to an Associate, 0. What company does not have someone available to answer general calls? I am new to this area and not sure the value of having this location in Douglasville. The management is not doing a good job and this review will not likely be read. But at least I can save someone else from the headache. We ended up leaving the store without the items...now it will take a month probably for the hold to drop off my card. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! After assisting my handicap mother to the door and asking for a handicap buggy; I was met by a store associate who said "she can get her own damn cart". After asking for his name, he begin to argue as to why I needed to know such information. I informed him that I heard what he said, and that I was going to report him to management. Within our interaction, a "lost prevention manager" came out of her office and stated "YOU CAN GET OUT OF MY STORE IF YOU DONT LIKE OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE" Her reasoning behind her response was, the employees are essential employees and have been treated like crap since the virus has erupted in America. She then begin to speak with my mother and said to her, "Our carts are a courtesy, and we do not have to provide them".
