This review is about the grocery dept. It's been improving, more "gourmet" foods on the shelves. If you prowl the aisles you'll be surprised at what they carry now. I found Otafuku Okonomiyaki mix for two servings. I wasn't expecting to find it at Walmart! The company has been around since 1922 and is still family owned. They fed the populace after the war, when things were really bad. I know people who lived it and listened to the stories. I've noticed many foods, on the shelves that used to be found only in specialty and ethnic markets. It's becoming more interesting to peruse the store. read more

Walmart needs to get a clue that there's no law that says any customer has to show their receipt. There is store policy, but it doesn't supersede state nor federal law. You cannot demand a receipt and threaten to give a police report to a customer who refuses to show you a receipt and be stopped when you have cameras all over the self-checkout registers and store. I watched an older man refuse and state this, which I also know to be true, and the male "greeter" yelled at him "ok so you want me to call the police and file a police report on you right now" and proceeded to call the police. The man still walked out because again, there's no law, and unless you have proof of theft, a store can't stop nor detain anyone simply for not showing their receipt. Get over yourselves Wally World; you're not Coach or LV, who don't ask for receipts btw when you leave bc they know when someone is stealing and already have proof on camera or witness, they know what the item is and where it is, and they already would've called mall security or police and met you quietly, not making a big stink and threat at the door for your receipt like these Wally World "greeters". read more

This is pretty much a standard representative for the franchise. It is a well-maintained facility; with the usual large variety of items from which to choose. We picked up some added clothing for our 5 week trip. They had what we needed, and our purchase was processed quickly. If one needs to make a Walmart visit; this location is a solid option. read more

When shopping, Emelina was so kind and helpful! Genuinely. She recommended that an item I couldn't find in store could maybe be at a different location, or I could place the order online, besides that help she asked me questions about myself and was so endearing. Divide and conquer! Just keep searching.... It's like a treasure hunt in here when we were searching for toilet paper, lysol, and masks. Items were out of stock everywhere. Walmart came through and kept on restocking throughout the pandemic. That's clutch. People adhere to the limits of how much they can buy. I hear staff is getting a raise. They deserve a big increase. Open 24/7 makes any Walmart cool. Redbox inside to make it a movie night any night. Bathrooms are inside in the front of the store toward the middle front next to the glasses center. Bathrooms aren't the nicest. Big outside parking lot makes parking easy. McDonalds inside for when you're hungry shopping or need food to keep any kids happy. Extra side area with Christmas gift and decorations already setup along with Halloween items in one area of the store since it's October. Grocery items to the left of the store makes this a super Walmart. Great prices as usual with any Walmart. Well labeled signs. Good amount of cashiers each time I come here. Lots of self serve stations too. Cashier was not stingy on the plastic bags...he put one item in its own plastic bag on most items. In California where I'm from you have to bring your own or else they charge you for a paper bag. So getting all these plastic bags was great! Haha! read more

Customer service sucked so badly today , I've had bought a straight talk line , yesterday at Walmart. I spoke directly to straight talk to go back ; and they will exchange my account for new sims. Including with customer service support team leader cat. She was very helpful and nice. They some how forgotten the fact ; to have activated my code. On the bottom. But because this person belonged to my ex boyfriends family he wouldn't exchanged the item . If you don't know what happened my ex boyfriend broke into my car last year and threatened if I didn't sleep with him he would hurt me. Made my life a living hell ever since being we live in a small town I've deiced not to press a restraining oder on him but it's getting down to the point I might have to. This manger Mike was there today and made my life a living hell. I over drafted my account. To have service on an old phone. Being I just got into a car accident. When it comes to road trips we rely on Walmart for everything. From finding a last minute coat from the unexpected difference in temperature to late night food munchies to fill our tummies. This location is very convenient if you're staying in one of the numerous hotels in the area. The selections here are insane and plenty at that. We spent hours going through all the aisles and finding almost everything and anything we wanted to grab our hands on. Of course I went crazy and purchased a bunch of things but mostly necessities we needed for our trip. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back again for our needs instead of purchasing things before the trip. FYI love that they're open 24 hours! Had pretty much everything I needed during the covid19 Pandemic. I had to drive from the Bronx to be able to find most of what I needed as most stores by me are wiped out. I've been to this location a few times in the past while going to Slash Down Beach. Neat and organized and the produce section was fully stocked. read more

I pretty much have stopped shopping at this store and instead go to Shoprite Fishkill where the clerks and cashiers are always polite, greet you with a smile and most of all PACK YOUR GROCERIES. Today I decided to give Walmart another try. The shelves were pretty much stocked and they did have cashiers without long lines. My dissatisfaction came when the cashier rang my items up and of course stood there as I packed my own purchase. My purchase wasn't small, mind you, I spent $295. I packed, she, the cashier stood there, offering no assistance. Then she said I'd have to go to customer service because I took to long to pay! Hello? Bad experiences with Walmarts online ordering. They advertise free shipping online but when you place the order it jumps to curb side pick up after they get your credit card payment. Then we had to cancel the orders. We still have not gotten back any refund? There online app is really screwed up! I had a previous review praising Walmart's curbside pick-up. Please disregard that review.Curbside pick up used to be very good and so convenient, but now they give you the items that are close to expiration date (or expired) or dirty. Recently they gave me four 1/2 gallons of milk that expired the day of pick up (one was leaking), a pkg of chicken caked in blood and 6 of something when I only ordered 1. Quite often, they tell you something's out of stock when it's not. It's on the shelf. I go into the store and check it out, which really defeats the purpose of curbside pick up. My assumption is that they don't bother to look if it's not right in front of their face. read more

In November 2020, I went to the Fishkill Walmart and dropped off a VHS tape that had high sentimental value to me and my family. The tape contained video of my deceased mother. It was the only media I had of her, other than still photos. I requested that the transfer be made from my vhs tape to a dvd. I was told it could be done, and it would be completed by December 2020. Seven months later, Walmart informed me that they lost my movie and that it's just gone. I was devastated that a family heirloom has just disappeared with no real or credible explanation and not a real apology either. read more

i tend to come here for either drinks or snacks for my car, but this is a really nice place. the lines could get a little long, especially when it's during a holiday weekend or during holiday season. the prices are high, but that's what you get for going into a store that sells practically everything. overall, it isn't terrible, and the workers are helpful. read more

The people at the return counter have a bad attitude. The Manager apparently makes his or her own rules. Even though the corporate website says without a receipt you are entitled to a store credit if it's over $15 this store Manager says no return over $50 without a receipt, period. When I called corporate they said the Manager can set policy. I then asked why there is no written policy to the contrary at the register. No answer of course. Maybe Consumer Affairs needs to pay the Manager a visit! I will be calling them. read more

I enjoy shopping at the Walmart. It always has the products I need in stock and I enjoy talking to the employees.

Plenty of self check out lines but it can get busy on weekends and weekday evenings. If you can avoid going during that time then you're good. Prices are good. Store is organized and clean. Customer service is so-so. read more

Update, they fixed the plumbing, for now at least. Maybe they actually read this? Now for my super pet peave. Employee parking. Please for the love of god designate parking for all associates. The east side of the building is a good spot because customers rarely park there because you almost never have the garden entrance open. Customers should not have to compete with your employees for parking. While you are at it, remove the derelict vehicles from the parking lot and shift all of the freeloading rv units into one area. Maybe enforce the 3 night rule? I have seen some there for weeks. I spoke with a so called manager a few years ago and suggested this and she seemed to think it was too hard to enforce amongst 400 associates. I beg to differ. Next the dairy department. Get a manager amd staff there that actually care about the customer experience. Just get the product and put it on the shelf. I cant buy it if its not on the shelf. We came for a wedding in the area and we stayed at the Hyatt across the street. Given that we drove here from home I decided to do my shopping. I always try to avoid going to these supercenters since there are a lot of people and the stores just feel unclean. Like most other Walmart Supercenters, this has everything under the sun. I can understand why people like shopping here because you can buy anything from garden supplies, electronics and your fresh groceries. Don't expect necessarily to find the highest quality things here but if you needed something, you're bound to find a cheap version here! There's definitely plenty of parking. Just watch out for those lines of people who seemingly have forgotten how to check out and pay properly. read more

To the point they may actually believe the slower they work, the better for them, because they are getting paid hourly. As I stand in line I draft this review, after waiting for quite a bit of time, and THEN realized I need to give them an honest review. Every time I come here.. I'm not generally a fan of Wal-Mart, but I needed some seasonal items and stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. I dreaded coming because I figured the lines would be long and the place would be chaos. To my surprise, I walked in and there were lots of shopping carts available. The store seemed clean and the shelves were all stocked, despite a full crowd of shoppers. I spent quite a bit of time in the seasonal section and never once saw a single employee come through. Everything I needed was in-stock, but just remember it's Wal-Mart - low quality merchandise for reasonable prices. I went to the self-checkout without seeing a single employee the whole time I was in the store (except at the checkouts). Despite the crowd of people, many registers were open and flowing pretty quickly. I didn't have to wait in line at all. The self-checkout worked much better than I expected, compared to the ones that give us all problems in many of the other stores. I got my merchandise home and a few electrical devices that I just purchased didn't work. Go figure. 3 stars because the store was stocked well, clean, and the registers were moving quickly. Minus 2 stars due to the low-quality merchandise that didn't work and no staff working the floor. read more

I understand it's Covid time but they've got to have at least 100 employees here yet only 2 cashiers open. Also many items unrelated to Covid are missing or put on end caps in odd places instead of main shelf. Employees were everywhere at 8pm, but not at Che k out! Shouldn't expect customers with entire carts full to self check out. I've done that gladly many times but it inevitably breaks down snd I stand and wait for a "cashier" anyway. This Walmart is always busy but despite that, the lines move and the store is always stocked. I've never had an issue here with customers or staff. The fact that it is a Supercenter and it is open 24 hours is a huge plus. I try to visit during times when the rush isn't too much (avoid weekend afternoons). The ship to store feature is handled very well here. The staff can oftentimes be a bit rude or dismissive but it's Walmart so you just have to take it with a grain of salt. They're often busy dealing with a ton of customers so it's understandable to a certain extent. It's a great one stop shop for everything. read more

Getting hungry after all of that excitement? GOOD. Because Walmart has paired themselves with one of the most magnificent eateries in the entire world. A pair so amazing that Batman and Robbin themselves catering your wedding with the finest wine & cheese in the universe is still not nearly comparable to the Wally World experience. Although there are a handfull of McDonalds within walking distance of The Walmart, they took the initiative to cram one more right into corner of the store. Why? Went there early yesterday morning, 8/14. There was an elderly employee stationed in the entrance usually to check the receipts are people are leaving the store. There was another woman that entered a little ahead of me. Well, this employee started barking at us that we had to wear a mask. Really? So, the other woman and I went back to the door to read the sign which reads "Masks Recommended ". He kept at us as we were walking into the store. Does he watch TV, or does he not know how to read.
