Went to this Walmart, which has "Asset Control" agents. One told me where something was and after I thanked him, he rudely replied "What are you thanking me for?" with an intimidating look, as if I was some sort of interruption to his existence. Don't wear a hood or face mask at this Walmart or you will be treated like you are Americas Most Wanted. I found it both irritating and insulting when, at self checkout, my station was flagged and I was told I had two items in my hand in an accusatory manner. First of all, all I was buying was two items. I didn't bother to set one down. What's the problem? They interrupted me checking out because they were profiling me, and tried to blame me for it. I am so so so sick of the hyper-vigilant, neurotic collective mental illness being projected on me (and us in general, the paying customers) at this store. Not only does it cause me anxiety, but it's insulting when I am treated like a thief here, and it's infuriating to be aggravated when I'm trying to pay for an item by your stupid "errors" at self checkout so you can check for theft. It has gotten to the point where I am conscious of myself during the entire shopping experience because I feel like I'm being watched. I feel like if I make the wrong movement I will be seen as a suspect and be subjected to being basically gang stalked while im shopping. It really puts a bad taste in my mouth, and I understand why people finally blow up on these people. Took Mom shopping, We were checking out. Barbara the Cashier asked for mom's ID, but when handing it over it slipped from her hand and fell between the register and the bagging carousel. Barbara called Tina from customer service who called maintenance. The manager Matt and Jay from maintenance came over and loosened a couple of screws to make the gap larger so they could slip a hook in. It worked and they retrieved the ID. When I worked at this end of the Boise/ Garden City, this was my go to WM Supercenter, but now I defer to my Fairview location across from the Village. This location on State Street was once a designated Project Impact store for technology. I'm not sure why, but once the bevy of laptops, pads, and other electronic gizmos were displayed it didn't take long for the majority of them to be physically damaged. So, it's Wal-Mart, any tips and tricks? The earlier you go the better your experience will be. The store will be less crowded, shelves will be stocked and there will be plenty of cashiers available. In this location, the toys are not located in the back but to the left almost by the seasonal section, i.e. Lawn and Garden that transitions into Christmas before Storage etc.... One typically can't beat the price of the majority of items at Wal-Mart but I try to focus on getting the following item here (1) Cleaning Supplies (2) Personal Care items (3) Milk and Eggs and some other essentials. Don't forget the following: Layaway is currently in effect which is a great deal and savings AND If you are like me, you spend most of your time shopping online and having the items delivered to you local store for free and using the Site to Store option. If you haven't check it out. Lastly, The electronic return policy for any and all electronics is 15 days. Once the 15 days is up, you will not be able return it Wal-Mart for exchange or refund. Wal-Mart will automatically refer you to the manufacturer. So, make sure you check out your electronics in earnest during the first 15 days and don't leave it in the box without checking to see if it is a dud. read more

This is my go to Walmart for my shopping. We do pickup mostly but when I have to go into a Walmart this is the one I like to go into the best. The pickers for grocery pick up have some issues some times not finding things or replacing them correctly or putting 1 thing in a bag but they work hard and save me so much time. read more

Defective Snowblower return. The worst customer service I've experienced in Years. I brought in a 1 day old defective Snowblower to return I bought on line. As soon as I got there I had the customer service lady say, we might not be the right store to return thus. She got on her phone and looked to see if there store could take the refund. The instructions I received were simple, take the blower back to Any Walmart. She was not interested in my comments. Next she asked if the gas had been drained because she smells gas. She then said we can't take it back with gas in it. I told her yes there was gas in it , that is how it runs. She then reiterated we can't take it back. I asked her where does it say you must drain it before it can be returned? She had no answer other than "we can't return it". I told her I would empty it and be back. She followed me to the door and rudely said" where do I plan on draining the gas?" I was taken off guard and I said I have no idea. I wanted to say more. Instead I asked for the manager. I said, Not a team lead a manager. She said she will get the manager on duty. I was hoping since it was a Saturday afternoon an actual manager would be working. Knowing how these big box stores operate I was hoping it wouldn't be an employee posing as a manager not capable of making a decision other than tow the line. . She brought me "Christian". He didn't say hello or introduce himself. So i jumped in and explained the pain in the ass it was to load the blower in and unload it to return it only to find out we aren't able to return it. After 15 seconds of speaking with the Manager on Duty, I got far more discussed than I thought possible. The only thing he had to say was we can't return it with gas and oil in it. I asked him to show me in writing where it states you can't return it with gas and oil in it? He said "I don't have too". I said you can't show me the policies? I could believe my ears. What a great response from the Manager on Duty. I then discovered he was the "Digital Coach " I knew there was zero chance of Christian making any decisions other then what his Customer Service girl told him and quickly realized it was a waste of time to talk to him. I asked Christian to give me the Store and Regional managers numbers. He refused and said he can only give me the general store number. Then to make things worse...another male employee came up and got involved in the conversation. I asked him why he decided to get involved and he could leave. He didn't like that and told me to leave the store. I said why..they said because I wasn't being nice. I said I'm not leaving, and by now there were 5 employees standing there and the guy that got involved said call the cops. Not sure if one of the girls did call but no police came I was infuriated I came to return a $500 defective item and left with threats of the police and being intimidated by employees that had no reason to be in the conversation. I told Christian he was useless and they should have sent a cashier because they have equal power. What a joke of a store. He also accused me of telling him to F off.. That never happened and the 4 other employees if they are able to speak the truth will also say it never happened. Maybe you have tapes of the entrance door your could review. You will witness the complete incompetence of those involved. I guarantee you will never see me or anyone I know shop there. This Walmart is trash if 0 stars was an option !! especially the cashiers that they have with your self check out yesterday and my husband and I got some alcohol. I had three kids with me so my husband pulls his ID out to show the person and the person comes and asks me for mine as well. Mind you I am clearly over 21 years old, I'm actually 33 so even though they had a valid license to purchase alcohol that they could type in, they made me go out to my car to get mine which is fine but while I was outside the person who was in charge of the self check out left to help somebody else so another person came up to talk to my husband about moving along and he showed that person his ID again and she started typing in the date and the person who originally was dealing with us, came back and said that they were waiting for another party (and was rude about it infront of other customers and our kids) even though they already had a valid date to type in to their system... I thought that was a law here in Idaho that you know as long as you have a valid ID and whoever is paying is the valid one, they can sell the alcohol .. I don't know if it's just a Walmart thing but no other grocery store, gas station, or convenience store does it like this. This is not the first time this has happened but only at this Walmart. This is my neighborhood Walmart and until the pandemic, I shopped their weekly and never had any problems. For several weeks, I didn't go into any stores and was excited to hear they were going to require employees to wear masks starting last Monday. I was shocked to see several employees with no mask and about half wearing the masks they did have down around their chins or exposing their nose and part of their mouths. They were also not practicing social distancing--even the manager I spoke to. She crowded me even though I was complaining about mask compliance and wearing a mask myself. Clearly, these people have not been trained, don't need their jobs, or are rebelling. read more

The worst! I called in to place an order for cupcakes at 8am. I was put on hold for several minutes and asked to call back. I called them 3 different times and the same thing happened each time I called. They asked me to call back because they were unable to transfer me to the Bakery department. On the fourth call I finally speak with someone from the bakery and place an order for cupcakes. I explain I need the cupcakes by 12pm and someone would pick them up at 12pm. My coworker went to pick them up at 12:15pm and the cupcakes hadn't even been started. Not cool! read more

Came here to pick up my prescriptions. I have never been so embarrassed in all of my life. The pharmacist, who mind you, was standing at the back of the pharmacy, decided to belittle me in front of all of the other patrons by yelling over the counter. This was because i was trying to pick up a prescription for pain medication a day early. When in fact it was EXACTLY the day they were to be filled. I know this because they are my prescriptions and i have them filled every month. I tried to explain to her that she was making a mistake. That was a mistake. She told me that since i cant manage my medications properly I should call my doctor and let him know so she could fill them early. ALL OF THIS OVER THE ENTIRE PHARMACY FROM THE BACK! A major hippa violation. I tried several times to explain that she needed to look at the calendar to count the days because i cant go 2 days without my meds. She replied " well that is a terrible situation you have got your self into. Maybe you should learn how to better manage your meds." I was furious! And ashamed! And did i mention FURIOUS!!? I will never go back to this pharmacy i suggest you do the same. In resolution i called my doctor and she reassured me i was correct and that the pharmacist was in the wrong. She informed me that she would be calling tomorrow to speak with the pharmacist about the problem and the massive violation of my patient rights by relaying my personal information as if she were a human loudspeaker. There are so many other pharmacies that will actually appreciate your business and not treat you like a public nuisance. Take your business there. read more

This is usually not a crowded store and I can get my self checked out at a self checkout 1st at the machine. I often buy some beer and they have a person there to approve the sale. Some things they run out of, like I needed stroganoff mix and it took them weeks to get it, black pepper in a big container was another. Some things are better than other discount stores, such as Hershey bars. Their blue eggs are bigger. They often have what I want in bananas, green ones. The grapefruits will cost more but be bigger and fresher. It is an old truth about shopping, every store will have some real good points and some you don't like. read more

Customer service in the fitting room sucks !!!! The girl that was there that was younger with a chest tattoo was rude and to busy talking to her friends and co workers to help you !!!! My hubby had to wait a good 10 minutes for a room !!!! Than last night we go in and back to the Photo department to pick up are online orders witch should have come in on the 21st of June and still haven't but ok I'll live but the lady back there is older and has blonde hair and a fucking attitude problem she yelled at the janitor and told him " get out of my way I have to get this back there for a customer and she is waiting for it" ps the customer was standing right there and was like I already waited 45 min 2 min more won't hurt.... the janitor was coming out of the area 1st and he moves a little slower and she was a bitch In front of customers, than she went on to yell at my husband and was like what do you need really I'm pretty sure us customers pay her bills !!!!! Than she goes on and say this area is close at 10 30 pm ok cool we been here since 9 30 where has she been taking a break in the god damn break room!!!! You now have to scan and bag your own groceries after 10:00 p.m , I have a bad back , I might as well go to WinCo ,they have better prices stay open all night and still have a cash register open to scan, chat and ask you if you were able to find everything you needed. An actual person is kinda nice. Walmart is doing everything, everything to save a buck. Extra greedy. Getting rid of disabled greeters, closing cash registers early as well as the clothing changing room, next they might have customers restock the shelfs of products that were purchased after they are done shopping for the next customers to save more money and get rid of the employees that stock product at night. I shop, scan ,bag my own groceries,return my own cart back so restocking products is the next logical step Walmart would expect of customers to help their bottom line. I rarely shop at Walmart but they had a microwave that I wanted so I ordered it through Walmart.com after ensuring that it was in stock. I figured I would have to wait a couple of hours to pick it up, but 18 hours later it was still processing! I really wanted that microwave, so I cancelled my order and went to the store to get it the next morning (12/31/16). The microwave I wanted was on the top shelf so I looked for an employee and finally found one. She had her back to me and after saying "excuse me" twice she turned around and told me she can't hear me with her back to me. I asked her to page for help and waited 10 minutes with no help coming! So I asked again for her to page for help (I really wanted that microwave!). After 10 more minutes I went to customer service, but there was only one employee and quite the line. So, I went to Home Depot and bought a great microwave. That is my last time shopping at Walmart. read more
