    Locked case of deodorant

We've been waiting 20min for the deodorant to be unlocked. And there are 3 lanes open at peak hours. Unacceptable.

Took a car to this location for an oil change and the technician accidentally drove the car into the oil change pit causing ~$2500 in damage. The store manager and Walmart insurance company were both unapologetic and extremely difficult to work with taking almost a month to make payment for the damages Walmart caused. Avoid this store at all costs.

I was so delighted when I recently showed up at the Target on the 3rd Avenue Extension to discover that the Walmart's claims were true. I didn't know what the recycling bin would look like. So I asked for help and I found the staff to be gracious. They walked me over to the recycling area which was neat and well maintained. The bin was empty and ready to accept donations. I believe strongly in sustainability and reducing my carbon footprint. I've been looking for recyclers in the Capital Region. Sometimes, I get disappointed. There are chain stores (should I name them all?) which claim to recycle but do a poor job of it. Their employees are nasty and their bins are dirty, neglected and overflowing. I'm happy to share the good news that both this Target at the Shoppes at Greenbush Commons as well as the nearby Walmart Supercenter are accepting plastic mailers for recycling and their employees have been welcoming. The recycling process time consuming and expensive. It's nice to know that some large businesses are giving back.

There's a one-time discount they're eligible for and we filled up two carts to appoint her the dorm room well. Alas, we did not have the discount code loaded properly and... Hailey to the rescue. She swiped and tapped a few things with the kiddo and we saved and extra spot of cash. Store is easy to navigate, clean, and everything was stocked. Good area and staff was nice to interact with. With Hailey going above-and-beyond to ensure we have a super-positive experience in getting the discount we qualified for, it hit all the right points to make the experience perfect. Stopped by the Front Desk manager to tell them the same and they said to fill out the survey on the receipt-- did that, too. We'll be sure to visit this Target for future needs because of that experience.

Monday of Christmas week, there was ONE person working at a register. Christmas week! This is peak time for full shopping carts and gift cards, for which checking out at a register is preferred. The cashier just kept looking around as if to say, "Is anyone else coming?" Fortunately, I was only fourth in line (that's still bad enough). When I was finally at the register, she phoned for assistants, but by then, the line at this register was about 10 people and stretching into the main aisle. This is in addition to everything I wrote about years ago. Later in the day, I was at the Target in Saratoga/Wilton, where almost every register was active. The only reason I'll sometimes shop here is out of convenience, since it is the closest Target to me, and in a plaza with a few other stores at which I shop. But I'd pretty much prefer shopping at any other Target in the area when possible.

Now I'm thinking maybe they weren't so bad after dealing with this place! I wasn't going to even say anything but their continued lack of professionalism is really starting to annoy the crap out of me. I called in a script today for a refill. Went there about 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, about two hours later. I actually left work real quick to go get it. I went through the drive-thru. "It's not ready yet. I can expedite it and have it ready in about 15 minutes." Huh? We're busy, blah blah blah. You are acting like you are doing me a favor when I left work to come get something that was supposed to be ready and it isn't! Then she says she can have it ready before closing at 9:30. Huh? No apologies or anything, just excuses. My first encounter of filling a script here was about a month ago. I was the first one in line. I handed the person a coupon for my medication. They had already run it through with my insurance and they said I would need to wait another 15 minutes because they would need to run it through without insurance and there are other people waiting. I even called before I went there to verify that this coupon would be acceptable. So I have to wait because you messed up? I was first in line for Pete's sake. Get outta here with this! Worst pharmacy ever for customer service!

Each year I typically make the mistake of waiting until mid-December to buy…read morewrapping paper and ribbon for Christmas, inevitably sorting through the picked over things remaining or heading to the Hallmark aisle to be thoroughly fleeced. Today I thought I'd get a head start; after all, Christmas decorations are going up across town. This is the "better" of the two CVS stores in Bethlehem (apparently Price Chopper has managed to squeeze out any further viable competition.) I noticed some Christmas bling when I entered the store and headed to where the season items normally are located but nothing appeared to be consistently filled with items for any one season. And, the two aisles where one finds such things were blocked. Boxes were dumped in the middle of the aisles around which you had to navigate; other sections were reducted to narrow corridors with unopen or partially opened boxes precariously stacked on top of each other. My immediate thought was that this was a definite danger to a small child or a older person. There were some items on the shelves; others were laying randomly on the floor in heaps. I then noticed Halloween decor and candy that was still on the shelves or under the few Christmas items that had been tossed on top of them. My immediate thought was that this is partly the impact of the unloaded container ships in west coast and southern harbors; I tried to be generous and thought perhaps the clutter (actually downright mess) was due to hiring issues that are confronting retail. I tried, without success, to find open boxes of what I was hoping to find (I succeeded in opening one and finding white issue paper) but otherwise was unsuccessful. While searching I went around the obstructed aisle and for a moment made eye contact with the manager walking unhurriedly past me and clearly not interested in being asked any questions. As I watched him it was clear he wasn't busy and wasn't worried about things to get done. I then noted other employees; there were other customers in the store, but it wasn't a situation where all hands needed to be at the registers. It required considerable effort for me to find a few things, which I chose to buy because one can't be certain with the current transport issues that preferable items will arrive in time for Christmas. What I settled for was far worse than what you'd traditionally find on sale after the holidays. It occurred to me that opening to clear the mess before store hours would get the clutter cleared, the Halloween items of the way, and the stock in the partially and unopened boxes on the shelves. But, that would mean someone cared. It's evident that the issues here aren't lack of stock, and there are a sufficient number of employees to maintain the store; this is a management issue. Again, this makes me worry that people entrust this store with their prescriptions. This is a shame because the facility is newer, pretty clean, has great parking and is located in strategically optimal location. It's simply not being managed and the result is a borderline disaster. Something must be up with CVS; the three I've been in recently are all a disaster; I sense the company is being sucked dry by an equity firm and is going to be dumped. My experiences have made me sorely miss Walgreens (something I never imagined.) As I won't set foot in a Walmart for anything, it's evident I'll need to head into Albany to find seasonal items. Quite a shame; quite the fall in a once decent to dependable retail location.
