We stopped in today to pickup some groceries and a Roku Steambar SE for my mom. This store is huge and for the most part is well stocked, clean, and organized. The employee who helped with unlocking the case and paying for the Roku had zero personality but did help us get what we needed. At first he said they didn't have the Roku but I showed him the the photo of the item and isle number is was in and he found a second location where they were keeping that Roku. The employee who checked us out at the register was much more friendly. We visited on a Monday afternoon, so we didn't run into too many of the issues that other reviewers are complaining about. All-in-all, it's a Walmart and it got the job done for our needs today. read more

Large store with tons to select from in every department! Parking is busy but has a large lot. Staff is a flip of a coin if you get someone helpful or someone rude/ignores you. Checkout as with any Walmart is incredibly busy not enough checkout lanes open, again this seems to be a trend along most Walmarts today. read more

I have been a Walmart plus member since the month it started and a Walmart shopper before New York even knew what Walmart was, but, I really must write this review about the Glenmont Walmart and the employees. Horrible! I have read other reviews about the terrible service from Walmart plus. I have had MORE than my fair share of food that was delivered out of date and rotten! When I place my delivery order and the shopping begins, I message my shopper and ask them to please make sure everything is FRESH and NOT going out of date soon. Occasionally I will get an excellent shopper who will reply and communicate with me on the availability of products. To those shoppers I leave a generous tip. Those have been few and far between lately. Today I happened to be shopping in store as I needed to buy my grown son some underwear. I had already waited 10+ minutes for someone to come unlock the case, so someone in our party had to walk over to find someone to get the underwear out. This rude female employee came, pulled out the underwear and I asked someone in my party to price check them to make sure the price was correct, as many times things priced one way on the shelf, rang up a different price. It just so happens these underwear were on clearance. I mentioned to my my daughter to scan others sizes to see if they were on clearance too. My daughter went to get more of the same packs, and the woman used her elbow to push my daughter in her ribs away from the case. She rudely said that no more were on sale, then locked the case and walked away even though we were asking to purchase more packs. My daughter then went to get another employee to unlock the case and she scanned packs in a two additional sizes and found they too WERE on sale, where the woman had said they weren't and refused to let us check. After shopping I brought this to the attention of the shift lead named Justin. I told him that I was upset that this rude employee that didn't even have on a name badge wouldn't let us buy the underwear we came here for. I also told him how incredibly rude she was raising her voice and being snappy with us, as well as how she walked away as we were trying to tell her that we needed another pack. As well as how it was unacceptable and uncalled for, for her to elbow my daughter in the ribs to force her out of the way. He apologized and said he would "address the worker" but I highly doubt it. Once the store manager leaves for the day, purchasing locked items is impossible. After being redirected to several employees, I was eventually informed that once the store manager is gone for the day, the other employees can't get to the locked items because they don't have the key. I realize this is Walmart, not a luxury boutique. I also understand the necessity for retailers to secure their products due to theft laws in NYS. However, it's inconvenient. Awful experience. 4 of 5 bottle machines were down, customer service said they won't take my plastic/glass, and their employee knows the machines are down, just hasn't gotten to fixing them yet. Not worth the $1 in recyclables to wait around. So many things are locked up, I didn't even bother to ask for help, decided I'd buy them elsewhere. Seasonal decor was supposed to be 25% off, 2 of 3 items didn't ring up that way. Not worth the $6 to bother with it, I doubt the cashier would have helped me anyway. But the real kicker was the woman checking receipts. Literally watched me scan and pay, I'm right in front of her. Then she accuses me of stealing one of my items. Had to point it out on the receipt. Online order returns from Amazon, Lowes, LL Bean, Home Depot, Target - they always make it right. Walmart - I ordered 4 chairs. Took 3 back. Walmart acknowledges that I returned the chairs and that they owe me $356. However, after 2 months of phone calls and store visits, I'm told the computer system never entered a tracking number so they can't refund my $356. The store manager has not and will not speak to me. p.s. I am a reasonable person. Next step: small claims court? Horrible. read more

Took a car to this location for an oil change and the technician accidentally drove the car into the oil change pit causing ~$2500 in damage. The store manager and Walmart insurance company were both unapologetic and extremely difficult to work with taking almost a month to make payment for the damages Walmart caused. I'll never shop this filthy Wal-Mart location ever again! The rude, sloppy associate who loaded my car at the Pick-Up was supposed to be wearing a protective mask - which is store policy and a mandate here in NY.  The minute she walked out of the building with my order, however, she pulled her mask down under her chin and proceeded to load my car with her mouth and nose totally exposed!  As soon as she left, I phoned the store's Pick-Up department to report this, and as I spoke to someone there, this woman herself grabbed the phone from them and began shouting and cursing at me, then slammed the phone down and hung up on me! When I called the store manager to report this, he was blasé about her abusive behavior, as well as the fact that she put both my and my husband's lives in danger and contaminated all of our groceries. I ended up contacting the corporate office, where they were as outraged as I was about this, and reprimanded both of them for their nonchalant attitudes to such a serious issue. I believe that Walmart has horrible customer service I ordered an automatic adjustable bed online the first thing that went wrong was that Walmart printed the wrong label and so the bed was delayed they sent a different label the bed was delivered I was never notified when I was told by Walmart Customer Service that my bedframe was delivered and I went to check the bedframe was missing Walmart's position on the whole situation is that according to Walmart the bed got delivered and if the frame is missing Walmart will not take responsibility for the missing frame they have offered me no assistance no resolution I'm just stuck paying for a bedframe for over $400 that I don't have because it was stolen right from the street with FedEx left it at and Walmart answers to me is take it up with my financial institution I have so many recordings of them gaslighting me and just write out lying telling me that it's a FedEx problem telling me that it's everyone else's problem but according to them the bed was delivered and it has nothing to do with Walmart FedEx is telling me it has everything to do with Walmart because Walmart never told them to have anyone sign for the bedframe Walmart instructed them to leave it at the door read more

I am not the type of person to make complaints or pull "karens" but today, I almost lost my absolute shit on one of the auto care employees, Sayed, today. Sayed is probably one of the most incompetent people I have ever encountered in any Walmart, probably ever. I called and had the displeasure of speaking to Sayed at 2:26 PM on Saturday the 2nd. I explained to Sayed that my tire had blown out, I had replaced it with a donut, and that I was in need of someone to replace my tire. He asked me what kind of car I drove and informed me they had the tire I needed in stock. Sayed then informed me that they had appointments available at 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00. I asked Sayed if I needed to make an appointment, he said there had been no appointments all day and that I could just come in. Later when I spoke to Kati, the manager, she informed me that the auto care center was turning people away at 1:00. I arrived at 3:30 and Sayed informed me that there was nothing they could do for me and that I could make an appointment for 5:00 Sunday, the next day. I told Sayed that I was not trying to cause a scene but that I was in an unfortunate predicament and was assured an hour ago that I could just walk in and get it fixed, ultimately, there was still nothing that could be done for me. Sayed suggested I go to customer service to speak to the manager. I asked Chris, the guy at customer service who grabbed the manager for me if I was being dramatic and he said no. Even Chris, in an entirely different department. could see that Sayed truly is the worst type of employee to have. Kati went to find a solution but unfortunately, the only person with the capability to change the tire, was gone for the day. Sayed ruined my day and caused me much stress simply because he does not know how to properly do his job or simply, be a decent human being with a functioning brain and moral compass. He told me there had been no appointments all day when in fact, an hour prior they were turning people away. I don't know what Sayed gained from this lie, but rest assured, if he does this to the wrong person, he's going to need to gain fighting abilities. I am not looking for any kind of handout, as I under no circumstances will ever be coming back to this auto care center, but I do want Sayed to be held accountable for his actions, which ultimately put me in danger, as I had to drive around on a donut, on the highway. Sayed simply could have told me that there was nothing available for the day, but instead, chose to be a lying, unhelpful, piece of shit. This problem needs to be handled accordingly, even if it means that I personally go into the store and try to give some life coaching to Sayed on how not to lie. I had a terrible experiencce at the glenmont walmarts. I went into the store at about 7:30 pm. I picked up some bread, cauliflower and some meat. When I came out there were so many carts around my car that I tripped and fell. I am 76 years old. I was so nervous that I left my cane hanging on the cart handle. I have been trying to call walmarts to speak to anyone for over 1 hour. No one answers. Please, please I need my cane. I am still, after 8 months, satisfied with the grocery to go service. Technically it's free over $30, but I still had a $1.20 fee on a $96 bill. Frankly, I find it worthwhile to shop from the sofa & pick-up when I want... the produce continues to be fresh and the expeditors are friendly and knowledgeable. I became a member so I could have my groceries delivered during Covid. During the first year it went well. They automatically renewed my membership last August and from then on things went downhill. Almost every order had items missing which I had paid for. I had to start a return to get my money back. One time they said my order was out for delivery and I never got it so had to once again call and get my money back. One day my order got canceled and the message said I had violated terms of agreement for returns. Excuse me , but I never returned anything ! After 11 phone calls and 2 letters they never cared and I was never able to use my account so now was out 100.00. My daughter has a new baby and wanted delivery so she got the membership. This was her third delivery today. The first two were missing 10 - 20dollars of items but she never reported it so she would not lose her account. Today she had her groceries delivered to my house. She was missing over $70.00 worth of diapers and birdseed. According to the driver someone at Walmart loads the car ! This is just terrible. I honestly do not know of anywhere else that has such a policy. Target is so gracious when they make an error as is Instacart and Whole Foods. Has anyone had trouble like this. I shopped at Walmart in Glrnmont, NY last night. It was late and I was tired. I stood in line for a while because I'm not crazy about self check. There was a young lady at the register when I finally got there. I had noticed her talking to the people ahead of me. I thought she knew them. When I got there she smiled and said "thank you for your patience". Get this; she was able to talk and work at the same time. She talked to me as if we were old friends. I left smiling. This is the closest Walmart to my home, thus I am in here often. The store is spacious, clean but at times things are hard to find (all of the holiday items are not placed together for one). Employees I have come across have been helpful but not always knowledgeable. Some however do not possess great customer service skills. Each to their own I suppose. Prices are great, but that is the big store way. Walmart takes back everything for a return, with or without a receipt. There never seems to be enough registers open for checkout though. This is a GREAT location to people watch, if you're into that kind of thing (like me). I am not ashamed to say I love Walmart and shop there often. read more

I had a terrible interaction with an employee. I shopped with my son and we picked out our items, including an electric razor for him. We looked at the options in our price range and choose one that looked like a good razor and when we got to the register it was $79 instead of the $49 that it had been clearly marked. I was in the self checkout and so I went to the employee who was standing nearby and she said "Someone probably moved it." She brought it to another woman and the second woman said she would go look. The second woman came back and said "It's clearly marked that this is $79." She had another razor and said that the other razor was the $49 but that the $79 was clearly marked. I had been careful to choose the razor I chose within my price range, so I felt confused that she was saying I was mistaken, but mistakes happen so I finished my transaction (purchasing my son's first razor for $79 because we already had it and he really needs one) and I went back to look at the shelf for myself.  The razors were clearly and neatly stocked in the place where I had chosen the razor from and the razor I chose was neatly stocked into the place with the tag that said $49. Once I saw that the razor was stocked exactly at the price tag for $49, I took a picture of it so I could go show the employee or customer service. I went up front and first looked for her but then it made more sense to just wait in the customer service line so I did. As I waited, the employee who had told me that the razor was clearly marked came by and I asked if she wanted to see the picture. She stepped to see my phone and I showed her the picture of the razors and the $49 tag and razor that I purchased. She said that there was another place on the shelf where the $79 razor was supposed to be and they were also stocked there so I should have known that the one I chose was in the wrong place. I said that it was clearly stocked in the place labeled $49 and she started getting louder and louder and yelling that the "discount" I wanted was unreasonable because it was $30 and that no matter what I said a "discount" of $30 was too much and she wouldn't do it. I said "But you can't stock things in the wrong places and misrepresent what they cost and then act like people are in the wrong if they don't investigate the rest of the section to see what other things cost." She got louder and was now across customer service screaming at me, and all the customers and employees around us were staring at us and she then went over to the employees doing the customer service transactions behind the desk and screamed across the space "I DON'T CARE, I'M NOT DOING IT, DON'T GIVE HER ANYTHING, I'M NOT GIVING A $30 DISCOUNT. SHE WANTS $30 AND I'M NOT DOING IT!!!" She turned towards me and stormed past me and yelled "YOU THINK YOU CAN ARGUE WITH ME?? YOU'RE NOT GETTING NOTHING!!" Now everyone was staring and the lady in front of me was shaking her head, maybe at me or maybe at the employee-- I couldn't tell, but it was a terrible experience to have. Plus I was overcharged and have pictures to show that the price was misrepresented. Please look up the video. I work in a grocery store and I know the customer is not always right, but people should be treated with respect and dignity. I was treated like I had done something wrong and I had not. Your employees apparently mis-stocked the razors, your employees acted like I did something wrong by choosing  the razor I chose and not investigating the whole section's prices (why would I have looked at the other razors when they were out of my price range?) and then I was publicly and loudly ridiculed by the employee (a manager?) when I was able to show that the razors were stocked in the $49 spot. Absolutely horrible. SLOW, rude and uncaring cashiers who don't give 2 Fs if you're on lunch break and need to get back to work including some who disrespect you if you're not of a certain descent. LONG LINES even at Express registers and cashiers who don't care about their job. Out of some 20 or 30 registers, about 5 were open at lunchtime. The express lanes each were about 4 to 5 customers long and only two were open. They seem to get a lot of customers who have to pay for part of their items with food stamps (or their benefit card), and the rest with cash, check, etc. They slow down the line and make wait time longer. They had to get rid of the self-checkouts because ppl were stealing from them. Management probably doesn't even care. Some of the customers too are really obnoxious, snarky and rude. Panhandlers often sit by the main entrance (alongside the road) to the store but the local cops don't want to bother doing anything because according to one officer, if they picked em up or arrested em "they'd only keep coming back". WM is cheaper than Price Chopper so I'll keep going, but this place really needs to step up and start giving a sh**. read more

Horrendous service here. 55 customers in each line. 4 cashiers (with lights on) last night a little before 7pm. We observed roughly 6 employees at the rear of all the registers merely looking at all the people. We actually heard one employee say "I'm not clocking now" - one would assume this based on the massive trove of people in the each line. We literally waited in line for over 13 minutes (I started my timer on my phone) to buy a bag of dog food & other minor things. I wish I couldn't reward it a star at all. We won't be returning to this store ever again read more

It's Christmas time. Picking up things on put on layaway have to get them off by the 10th come in today the 7th of December and I've been waiting in line for 35 minutes for 5 items. I answered back with a polite "Can you transfer me to electronics please?" Next thing i know, she says "Hell no!" and hangs up on me. Worst service ever. Walked in to pick up a gaming headset that was locked in a case. When it came to opening the case I was left to one person who was ringing out 5 others in line. The other guy was helping someone with setting up their new phone. I'll decided to walk around and come back while I shopped for a few more misc items. Upon returning 15 minutes later I asked the woman at the desk if she could help me and she rudely replied with "I'm leaving right now, he's gonna have to help you". In the midst of modified hours & operations due to COVID-19, I arrived about 15 minutes before closing needing one thing: a set of sheets for my bed. This was necessary since I had no others because I was forced to move homes during this chaos. The supervisor (yellow vest!) was physically blocking the exit doors and had already locked the entrance doors. I pleaded with him to please let me get the one item and that I would even leave my ID or something at the front so he could hold me to 5 minutes. He refused and I had to sleep on a bare mattress that night. It's not the end of the world, but when hours are modified you should be understanding of customers showing up closer to closing time than usual. I worked customer service for 4 years and know that it is basic human decency to let people in before the store is actually closed, especially because Walmart is open later than anywhere else and it's not like I could've just gone somewhere else to get it that night. Dollar general was closed and that's why I was late to the Walmart, because I tried DG first. The people running this Walmart don't give a shit so just be prepared. Ps 6 years ago I accidentally left my wallet on a shelf here and a family friend happened to see it and pick it up to give to customer service. She didn't look inside to see the ID so she didn't know it was mine. There was $80 in cash in the wallet and when I went to get it from customer service they spent 15min with it in the back room before returning it with no cash. While someone may have taken the cash before my family friend saw it, I doubt that it happened because the approx timing when she found it was only about 10 minutes after I left the store.
